Also, just a thought...

At 10 bucks, what if the Valentines Day Costume Pack also included a free costume change for each of your characters?

[/ QUOTE ]
That would add some icing to this for sure. Almost as good as GvE. Throw in a few more male costume options, and it would be on-par IMHO.

Undone bow tie, jacket with colourable flower?

Well, this is what Medi-Lad should look like, come the wedding. He's been in a hooded costume since I made him ... so I've only just now decided he's a (flamingly bright) red-head.

Stuck largely with a subdued version of his costume colors, and kept a small mask (you have to look REAL close, it's just the eyes).

Looks nice, and I don't regret a single dollar.

No veil?

[/ QUOTE ]

There is a veil, but as it is bugged atm and shows up as nothing more then a black blanket tied to my character's head, I didn't include it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Bugged, but the color on the outside of the veil is tied to the hair color.... as seen here.

I posted it in the Costume Bug thread.

[/ QUOTE ]

We have a new version of the game with a correction to the veil going to the Training Room in the near future. Try out the veil on that new version and let us know how it goes. Thanks!

I was totally writing this pack off, but that jacket is mighty tempting.

My friends at NCNC...

How I've enjoyed evaporating hours of life running through your ethernet hallways and binary coded caves.

In our household, we have 3 accounts...and I purchased an account (in addition to a year's subscription) as a gift for another family member as well. Obviously, I believe in the pastime and entertainment value of this hobby and game.

Though a little dismayed at the price for this new (light for the male model) content (and light in content overall), I will probably choose to support your brand (at this point in our community's history---OUR brand) by purchasing the Valentine's Day / Wedding Pack. (I say "our brand" as I do feel this company makes an effort to include everyone as part and parcel of the community. The communication with us by far is superior and the availability of the Devs / Designers is outstanding.)

But---
(and this is an assumption here)
If the money that is being spent on this content is to make up for time spent outside of the normal working model and plan for creating content, could you please take this one step further?

If for new content, you are asking us to foot a bit more of the bill to help in the creative, designing, programming and labor of the new content, I really am all for this. I do believe nothing comes for free and I truly feel you all regularly churn out a great product, a fun & wholesome hobby, and hours of entertainment that cannot be purchased at usual fares in our towns and cities.

Please consider polling our community. Ask in a several questioned survey format what we would be willing to pay for (in terms of additional and expanded content) and how much we might be willing to pay.

Let me give one "for example:"
I would be willing to pay...hmmm...maybe upwards around $25 to $50 per account to get you all to program CoH-2---the world where Powers Customization comes to life. That is content that we all have sought in one form, fashion or another.

I would be willing to pay for new content that broadened our stories and immersion factor---especially for the level 50s and life beyond. In the hardwired world, I'd be willing to help pay for additional servers where we could upload any of our characters from any of the current servers and all play together---sort of a version of "The Test Server" except the difference being, the experience and play time there is all 'real time.' It's that "alternate reality" dimension that is so prevalent in comic books.

These are probably (off the top of my head) additional content I would be willing to pay extra for to broaden and enhance our community. I'm sure others might suggest different content, while still others might find this suggestion distasteful and disagree with it off hand.

Still...
In this community (and for the $14 bucks x [Number of Accounts associated with this household] per month), this is the opinion I offer right now.

Medi-Lad is sitting in the Steel canyon Icon, waiting for the same thing.

I just tried the pieces out on my scrapper, Chay'vara. She is now thoroughly loving her new fancy tux jacket, black with gold embroidery. And she's also loving the short black scarf with it. So two capes, essentially.

Cost of account upgrade- $9.99
Cost of tailor session- Fee waived
Being able to break the "one cape per player rule"?- Priceless.

Bonus regarding the new tuxes: I get to make my classical magician (Zatanna-inspired) costume not look like crap! (Having previously used the vest jacket and a set of sleeves that had a few small clipping issues.)

Honestly, that is the first thing I thought of when I saw that the tuxes were for women too.

Yes, you character specifically, not-so-honestly!

Make it a "Poker Night, Sloppy Drinker" expansion pack and I'll be right there. Weddings I tend to avoid, even when they come with free real life food.

Hmm. That jacket *is* pretty awesomesauce. I may have to break down and get it now.

And, by some perverse coincidence, it actually works out for me that there isn't a new tux pants costume part.... Hah!

*sigh* I'll be out of town on Thursday ... real Valentine's Day with my real sweetie has to take precedence.

As for the expansion pack, well, expecting every expansion pack to be as useful as GvE is like expecting every vet reward to be as useful as the Sands of Mu or Nemesis Staff. Some of 'em will just be stuff you don't like. Me? More costume pieces is always better -- even if I don't use 'em now, I may need 'em down the line.

1. Read e-mail, go "huh...interesting."
2. Remind self of budget and this new "Impulse control" idea
3. Check forums
4. See pictures, "Ooohhh... shinies."
5. Whimper about price

Repeat steps 4 and 5 for ten minutes

6. Grab cc
7. ICON TRIP!!!

*sigh* I'm pathetic. I'd say I'd rather it was $5 than ten... but I bought it, so I guess it was priced fine. Damn you, devs, damn you.

One comment, Bow Tie (Shoulders) for males and Huge already exists. If it's now available for Female characters, that would be a new addition.

It is. It's actually my favorite thing about the pack besides the tux itself.

I am not sure i understand. Can these new costumes also be earned by doing a special mission like the V-Day missions? Or they can only and only be earned by spending real money for them?

Ive been looking at the female new costume options and they look really nice. A real shame if they werent to become standard costume options. What a waste if all the nice stuff is getting "extra paid for" stuff.

Reminds me of the Hellenic sandals i never could get because of the stupid "invite a friend to the game" condition...

GvE for 10$ was a bit irritating but at least when you bought it you were getting some special temp powers that "most of your chars" could get to use in their hero career.

But now paying 10$ for some "great" costume pieces but still costume pieces maybe 1 or 2 of my chars would really want is kinda over the top. As great as costume options are, the replay value is kindal imitated unless you are willing to use these costume options (and emotes) for pretty much all your chars...

These costume pieces are looking great. Good job SexyJay, you made them pretty much like many of us asked them to be in the costume thread. Many of use were hoping to play with such options someday.

Thanks but no thanks, im not paying 10 real dollars for costume pieces i asked to be created in the costume thread until everything people ask also gets charged 10$.

Just sayin. Now i cant wait for the guy who paid for that to come in Atlas Park to rub it in by throwing confettis in my face...

I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Devs: Since quite a few of us will not be able to attend the wedding for whatever reasons, usually because we can;t all fit in the zone

How about someone recording this and then posting up in the news section for all to enjoy?
