The O-Farm killed the markets. A lot of people were going 35-50 doing those. No salvage drops, no recipe drops, just tons of money. It's terrible. I dropped down my accumulated salvage the other night and a bloody Regen Flesh sold for 120k. Not looking forward to IOing out my new Emp 
I had a lot of fun with my Virtue Brute, it's been a while since I've played a pure-concept build.

i just got my ss/wp tank from 41 to 47 and my fire/rad from 23 to 27

I earned a lot of influence. Some people pseudo-PL'd their lowbies. Because I have never felt the desire to PL my characters (not meant as a statement of superior morality on my part) I PL'd the pocketbooks of my much-loved 50s instead.
It was a load of fun. Many, many many foes were defeated on both sides of the red/blue line. (I basically devoted one day to each side.)

Well the Devs hate me and always schedule these things for the 3 weekends a year when I volunteer my time to run a retreat for engaged couples. 
So I always end up getting on a 5 o'clock Sunday with lots of Pepsi to keep me up till midnight. At which time I pass out from exhaustion. Good times.

It was "Double D/C weekend" - If I'd had any alts currently in play on a smaller server, I guess I would have had a positive experience. Unfortunately, I had the misfortune to roll on Virtue at release and I keep developing mains there.
I gave up Sunday morning - it wasn't worth the hassle. Here's hoping that the next double xp weekend will occur on hardware able to handle it, so those of us on big servers don't get shafted.

Doesn't surprise me at all - a friend of mine here in CHicago ran all weekend on Virtue and only got dropped once. Another friend in Australia couldn't run on Virtue at all, he never got on, but he could get on the other servers just fine. Apparently different peeps experienced different things: those friends of mine with poor machines had a very hard time.
My experience wasn't positive, but I'm going to cease posting about it, as all laments over those on Virtue and Freedom have been firmly labeled under "Shubby" and are getting laughed off - people first reaction is to say "Well it was fine for me, stop whinging."
It's not a huge deal, it's XP in a video game. I'm just disheartened to know that the next one will be the same, that if I want to play what I like I need to transfer it to a server where I don't have an SG yet, etc. Multiple people have mentioned getting dropped repeatedly, being unable to log on, and trying to complete TFs and missions under killer rubberbanding. There was obviously an issue.
This is one of those times when enough folks had a good time that no one really wants to hear from those who had an issue.
I had a great time (about 45+ hours) My 2 issues were global chat down for alittle bit and my eyes burning out of my head LMAO.
I have 2 50s now and a 45 Dom plus 6 alts, not bad for 15 months(warning I am not a casual player, min 30 hours a week) My 1st 50 was about 4 months into game but then i caught altitis.

Scrappers are just like chainsaws. Somewhat hard to handle, EXTREMELY dangerous, and by far the most fun when wielded by the slightly insane.

Don't do it! First off she'll be all nice and sweet about giving you that loan, but soon she'll start hitting you up for balloon payments, telling you if you can't pay she'll break your IOs (true story: one player who took loans from Ex had a lot of Endurance Modification IOs - we all know what happened there) and if you try to go the the PPD, you'll wake up with a Hydra head in your bed (which stains the sheets terribly)!
Don't take loans from CMs! They'll own you for evermore!
I was on liberty working on my Ninja/Dark MM. got him to lvl 38.. so I was happy with that..

Fire/Kin (#3! hehe): 46-50
DualBlades/Regen - 41-43 (I levelled her up to match my friend's level, we are playing them together).
Ice Tank - 33-38 then he went from 40-49 (38-39 were not my doing!).
Levels gained: 83.7
XP bars gained: 837
Influence earned: $217,128,369.00
I got 3 rare purples: Armageddon, Gravitational Anchor and an Absolute Amazement.
And I only played Friday, little bit Saturday and Sunday til about 10 p.m. when I couldn't play anymore I was too tired.

My girlfriend and i played quietly (as always) together - i've fairly recently introduced her to the game and got her blaster and my second tank our travel powers. The other few friends i have that still play were all pl'ing or using the rwz/oroboros...trick...*cough* exploit *cough* to get insane amounts of influence.I think i prefer what i did with my weekend than what they accomplished - even if i didn't get a bajillion inf or go from level 1- 50 in a weekend *shrugs*.

Pretty much the same here, was helping a friend out who recently joined the game, and walking them through how some of the things worked. Didn't get a chance to do a TF with them though. But lots of 'oh, cool!' comments from them. Slowly weening them off of WoW.
Painted a devilfish and read through Dark Heresy.
40K MMO on book and paper, things you are too young for.
Anyone who likes 40K, get a copy of this book, you won't be disappointed.

In the limited time I was able to play the game I went from 33 to 34 on my scrapper.
I managed to get my Mastermind from 43.2 to 45.3 ... almost exclusively on Newspaper missions.

I had a busy weekend in RL, but I did manage to get some play time in. My Scrapper had been 26 for far too long and I finally got her to 27 and half way to 28. And I got a few levels on some of my lower-level characters (I love my new Protector Bot!).
Also, I was able to resist the urge to create new alts. But now the DBL XP Weekend is over, that urge is back.

At the same time, did you see the posts from people on Freedom? They were saying they should forcibly move the last five hundred people to start new characters/recent transfers to other servers. Rinse and repeat if more room is needed. Frankly, from the attitudes expressed by the majority of those who spoke here, I have no sympathy for them.
Although I do suspect Go_Sabres had a "Cry Moar" macro this weekend.

The same way I spend every double-XP weekend: leveling a character that I suspect will be more fun once I get above the low 20s, but that's so painful from around level 11 to 21 that I can't ordinarily stand to play them. In past cases it's been stalkers and dominators, two villain ATs that I sense I'd love to play, but not in the low levels. (Ironically, I have never yet kept a character I PL'ed during double-XP weekend.) This time it was a WP/DB tanker that I ran, more solo than I'd like, from level 10 to 25 in a weekend. Now that I've got a continuous attack chain and a partial set of SOs, the character is already a heck of a lot less painfully annoying to play than it was at level 11, where the AT damage mod was making all fights take forever and where my attack chain plus a single toggle was enough to make me have to rest every other fight.

This mirrors my weekend.
Made a Fire/DB Tank, a concept I've wanted to make for awhile. Many was the time where, after having to stop and let my end bar build back up (just about every fight), I would just shake my head, and realize that there was simply no way I'd put up with this under normal circumstances.
I got her to 23. Stamina and stronger enhancements took away much of the pain. I went from frustration to happy fun. Glad I thought to make the character Friday. Any other time, and she would not have made it.

Got my scrapper from 42 to 44 on the godforsaken Dr. Q TF. NEVER AGAIN. Also picked up enough cash to finish my 2nd full Crushing Impact set and got a Gaussian: Chance for Build Up slotted into Focused Accuracy
Also, rolled up a new tank, got him to level 4 in about 15 minutes without the tutorial. And my brute from 23 to 24.
