What server?

Any comments about the server problems over the weekend?

Any comments to those who felt locked out of the fun?

My goal was to get my 36 to 40 by the weekend. Didn't get that done, but every character on Infinity got a little face time, and nearly all of them went up one level.

My 36 DID make it to 37...I got to run a group with my SG, play in a larger group with another friend of mine, and frankly thrilled to the activity around Paragon City (and to a lesser extent, the Rogue Isles, though I didn't spend as much time there this weekend).

Thanks for another great event, Devs. Can't wait to do it again later this year. WOO!

I got my main Blaster (Arch/EM) from level 39 1/2 to 41 1/10. All by soloing missions. Not too bad. ^_^ And I have missions from contacts to run again! Yay!

In hindsight, I spent it trying to play my 3 "in play" alts on Virtue, and spent most of the weekend getting dropped during zones ins, having my team wipe under heavy server lag, and watching my mates drop right and left.

It was "Double D/C weekend" - If I'd had any alts currently in play on a smaller server, I guess I would have had a positive experience. Unfortunately, I had the misfortune to roll on Virtue at release and I keep developing mains there.

I gave up Sunday morning - it wasn't worth the hassle. Here's hoping that the next double xp weekend will occur on hardware able to handle it, so those of us on big servers don't get shafted.

Wow, i find that really surprising, as I was on Virtue prime-time friday, saturday and sunday...as well as smattering during the day on Saturday and Sunday, for probably 8 hours total. No disconnects, no slow zoning, and i think I had maybe 2 teammates d/c the entire time. From my perspective, the server was crowded, but stable. It's not like I was hiding in underutilized areas either, I was running a RWZ mission team all friday night (actual missions, not the ouro thing) for a few hours and the whole team was fine, connection-wise.

I had a blast, but the one thing I didn't do that I regret was play my villains. I wish I had put some time toward my corruptor, and maybe pushed my level 46 mastermind just a bit closer. Otherwise it was a great time. 2 levels on my DB scrapper (37-39), 3 on my bs scrapper (12-15), 8 on my fire blaster (2-10) and 16 on my newly created PB (from zero). That last was my greatest accomplishment, as I have never been able to make it through the 12-15 area on a PB since I deleted my level 28 pb when CoV came out.

One level 50 brute, one level 46mm, one level 28 brute, and a myriad of 16 and under characters and I am just burnt out with CoV. I don't know why exactly I find it so hard to play red side, but it just feels like work. I wonder if we could talk the devs into a double xp just for villains event? I need that kind of encouragement to put in some significant time over there.

Got the fire troller trio (storm, rad, and kin) I run with from 14-15 to 23, mostly due to the faultline av's (did each one three times...) and streetsweeping in DA.

I got my Emp from 33-50.
Corruptor 48-50.
Blaster 49-50.
Freedumb Brute 1-20.
lol Virtue concept Brute 1-17.

All my Infinity characters are 50! My last slots are saved for Villain epic archetypes.

The O-Farm killed the markets. A lot of people were going 35-50 doing those. No salvage drops, no recipe drops, just tons of money. It's terrible. I dropped down my accumulated salvage the other night and a bloody Regen Flesh sold for 120k. Not looking forward to IOing out my new Emp

I had a lot of fun with my Virtue Brute, it's been a while since I've played a pure-concept build.

I cleared my weekend in advance and took friday off. I normally wouldn't do that sort of thing but hey, it's just two weekends out of the year, might as well go nuts.

I took a controller from 18 to 27 (Wormhole!) a Scrapper from 12 to 19 (Vengeful Strike!) another Controller from 12 to 16 (Telekinesis!) a Tank from 18-20 (KO Blow!) and got a level or two on assorted other characters.

Phew. Would you believe I still didn't get everything done I wanted to?

I had slow loading on Virtue but otherwise, no probs. Now my teams on the other hand... some of them were an exercise in frustration. I could tell when I had a good one going and I stayed with them as long as I could.

You know, just to throw this out there - I had a whole mess of crepes this morning. They're just like pancakes, maybe even better.

My girlfriend and i played quietly (as always) together - i've fairly recently introduced her to the game and got her blaster and my second tank our travel powers. The other few friends i have that still play were all pl'ing or using the rwz/oroboros...trick...*cough* exploit *cough* to get insane amounts of influence.I think i prefer what i did with my weekend than what they accomplished - even if i didn't get a bajillion inf or go from level 1- 50 in a weekend *shrugs*.

*edit cause i engrish gud*

I got about six characters levelled, three on Guardian, two on Virtue, one on Pinnacle. One of the characters on Guardian levelled three times, and one of the ones on Virtue almost made two levels. He's about a bar from 35.

Also, three of those were villains. Exactly half, actually. I didn't even realize that.

I didn't play at all on Friday, and played about 4-5 hours on Saturday and again on Sunday. About half of that was spent solo, although I usually got picked up for PUGs rather quickly.

I'm probably one of the few people who soloed as much as I did, though. I turned down a few offers because I was only a bar or two from level and didn't want to join a team only to leave it.

I always try to get my lesser used characters past struggling points during XXP weekend. Last time I spent it getting Fire Imps for my Dominator, and this time I spent it getting my Brute to Grandville. I almost never spend the time on my "main" characters, simply because they get plenty of playtime on their own and it's such a great time to get alts the big exciting powers that kept you from playing them before.

9 levels on my DB/WP Scrapper, was quite pleased.

I played for ~3 hours Friday night, ~6 hours on Saturday and ~8 hours on Sunday. For about 2/3rds of that time, I was in a group of 4-8 players, the rest being spent duo or a very small amount of soloing time.

For all of that, I gained 2 levels on a Brute (23-25), 1 Level on a Controller (14-15) and 13 levels on a Defender (19-32.)

I did not do any task forces, and did almost none of my own missions, spending most of the time sidekicked to level 38-40ish mentors doing their missions (My SG was trying to get a bunch of characters to 39 for the Eden Trial.)

Overall, I had a lot of fun...can't wait to do it again!

I took my Thugs/Dark on Pinnacle from 9 - 31 in about 27hrs. I also played my Bots/FF from 25-26. I also took my Energy/Electric brute from 23-24.

See, it's the neverending blatant trollish posts like this that ensure people from freedom and virtue continue being hostile to those of the other servers, ensuring they remain barren wastelands. Some people just can't empathize with others I guess, who just wanted to play their favourite guys and were having troubles with it, I guess

I couldn't get on near as much as I wanted to, but I managed to squeeze in about 6 extra hours - for a total of ~14-17 hours over the course of the event.

dom: 13->22, 12->14
mm: 34->35, 38->39
brute 12->14, 12->14, 8->13
corr 14->15

I'm kind of glad I couldn't just sit on all day though - I did that for the first double XP event, spent almost the whole thing running WB missions on a brute - and nearly burnt myself out. I had to take a few months break after that, and to this date I still can't enjoy playing that brute.

I REALLY wish they had fixed that stupid Ouro exploit before this went live...market destruction was pretty noticeable. Oh well, hopefully all the new 50s who contributed nothing to the black market will spend all their money on 50 ios and leave the mid 30s ones alone .

All I can say is: I played on Freedom exclusively over my weekend - got my DB/Regen from 23 to 32. I didn't log on earlier than noon Eastern time. I logged off when I was done with a play session - and crashed a couple of times to boot.

And I never had to wait more than five minutes to log on again when I wanted to play.

Even when the server was gray on initial login, a few refreshes, or a trip to the fridge for a Coke, was all it took to bring it back down to red so I could get in. Maybe I was just lucky - every single time. Or maybe, the whole lockout thing was overblown.

Hahahaha... I made out like a bandit during double XP, some people PvP, some people play the market.

If anyone needs a loan, hit me up.

I mostly spent mine trying to earn influence with my main hero scrapper (just need a couple of LotG's to completely fully IO out my build). Got around 80 mil influ, mostly solo, not counting the stuff I sold. In the middle of it I took a break to level my villain Brute from 35-37, which I have been neglecting for a while.

Could have been better, but not bad for mostly soloing. I had fun this weekend.

It was most likely my most productive 2x XP Weekend to date. I did all my work on the best damn server of them all, Pinnacle.

I leveled my Rad/Rad/Power Defender, Isotope Ti6Al4V, from 43 to 47. My Ice/Ice/Munitions Blaster, Cleo Claus, from 39 to 41 and got my Fire/Storm Controller, Pyrocumulus, from 32 to 34.

Aside from that, I also did some solo play on my Level 50 Fire/EM/Fire Tanker, Nova Red, to earn some INF for IO Sets.

Thanks to all who teamed with me over the weekend!

Since we have the upcoming Double XP Weekend starting February 8th - February 10th coming up next week, we wanted to find out how you spend your weekend maximizing your effort?

The same way I spend every double-XP weekend: leveling a character that I suspect will be more fun once I get above the low 20s, but that's so painful from around level 11 to 21 that I can't ordinarily stand to play them. In past cases it's been stalkers and dominators, two villain ATs that I sense I'd love to play, but not in the low levels. (Ironically, I have never yet kept a character I PL'ed during double-XP weekend.) This time it was a WP/DB tanker that I ran, more solo than I'd like, from level 10 to 25 in a weekend. Now that I've got a continuous attack chain and a partial set of SOs, the character is already a heck of a lot less painfully annoying to play than it was at level 11, where the AT damage mod was making all fights take forever and where my attack chain plus a single toggle was enough to make me have to rest every other fight. Will I break the curse and actually keep this character, this time? Could be, could be.
