Shadowrush

Hmmm I can think of a few:



1) Back in December of 2005, it was my first Eden Trial. I was using the character that would become my main character, Shadowrush. We made it to the boss but got overwhelmed by crystal monsters. My teammates slowly dropped one by one, until only I was left and the Crystal Titan had only 1/5 of his life left. Surrounded by crystal mobs, I popped Elude and aimed at the Titan. In the end I defeated the Titan and won the Trial for us. The group cheered. It was the most exciting MMO moment I've ever had at the time. My hands were shaking afterwards.



2) There's also the time back in 2008 that I built the first giant robot in a supergroup base and posted it in the forums. Here's the thread



3) In 2009 I created a Mission Architect story arc called Pandas vs. Rikti, which received a Dev's Choice Award! It also won in Projectionist's MA contest. The prize was free art of one of your characters. Of course I chose Shadowrush and here's the art poster I won. It's now hanging on a wall in my house.

4) Also, in 2010 I won the title of Mr. Freedom 2010 and won 1 Billion influence during PERC's annual Mr. and Ms. Paragon Contest.

5) I'm also an avid AV soloer and Pylon soloer in the Scrapper forums. Defeating my first AV before IO Enhancements, and more after the introduction of IO Enhancements. Also soloing my first pylon was also an awesome feeling as well. Although my best time can never beat the best guys at the Scrapper forums, but I am somewhere in the middle of the records list there.

Thank you Positron. CoH is the longest MMO I've ever played in actively. More than 5 years straight from 2005-2010. I haven't been active the past couple of years, except logging in once in a while to play with friends, check messages, etc, but CoH has always been special to me. I had plans to go VIP once again during the coming holidays.

So many memories in this game for me. Meeting new friends. Experiencing forming my first online guild (SG). Building the first giant robot in a base. Soloing AV's and Pylons. Creating an MA Arc (Pandas vs Rikti) that got a Dev's Choice Award.

I'm saddened to see the game go. Thank you once again for this great MMO. And good luck to you and the devs at Paragon Studios wherever life takes you next.

I'll be in Star Wars: The Old Republic. I've been playing it since beta and really love it. I especially like how story-driven it is, and rewards my altitis as much as CoH did, but in a different way with different stories per class. It has become my main MMORPG currently. My real life friends, relatives (same guys I played with in CoH) and I are on The Ebon Hawk server.

We've also played STO and DCUO and log in once in a while, but I can't say we're still really active on them anymore.

I've tried The Secret World during beta. I liked the concept behind it, but was just overall not enticed by it when I finally played. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I think SWTOR spoiled me or something.

I'm also trying out Guild Wars 2. We bought copies of it, but even though we like it so far, it will probably just be a backup MMO.

I'll be there. Haven't been on a Freedom Horde TF in a loooong time. Time to dust off Shadowrush.

I haven't been active on CoH the past couple of years. Logging in mostly to move my character around for day job badges. CoH has been the longest MMO I've ever played in, 5 straight years since 2005. So I'm saddened by the news when I heard about it closing last night.

Freedom has always been the server I played on. So many fond memories on this server. From playing with my real-life friends and relatives here, to playing with online friends with the Freedom Horde.

I'll be around once in a while, until the servers shutdown on November.

I just heard the news from a friend. I started playing CoH in 2005 and was my main MMO for 5 years straight. I haven't been logging in for a year or so, but I still drop into the game once in a while.

I'm saddened that it's closing. Thank you so much to the Devs who've made a game that was part of my life for many years. The experiences I've encountered, the friends I've met, it's all thanks to you guys.

I'll be in-game a few more times before and during November 30. It's been a great run.

I encountered the bug too. But after just relaunching it, the launcher detected the patch and I was able to get in on time. Still though, we were not able to form a second team.

I know I'm kinda late to the party. Just saw the episode tonight, and I must say I was really surprised. And yes Hawkman was great in this episode. I was never a fan of the character in the comics, so I was pleasantly surprised with him during Smallville episodes, especially this one.

Quite surprised about the turn of events. Even Tigh-Slade got into some fighting.

But yeah, I was wondering how the show will handle having some of Slade's people knowing who Clark is. I guess I'll just pay it no mind for now.

And like everyone, I wonder what that pyramid thing was? O_o

Can't wait for January.

I'm very interested in this as well, but with I-19 just released the timing isn't very easy for me. Shadowrush just became a Hero again for I-19 a few days ago and I'm not yet done with stuff.

I'll start turning him into a Vigilante tonight and should be done by tomorrow and be able to join you guys.

Issue 19, here I come! Shadowrush will become even more powerful now! Mwahahaha... er... I mean, that's fine. Oh and more badges, woohooo!
