Test Server pvp came before the PvPEC. The Arena League came before the PvPEC. Some of the most talked about, and remembered match-ups came before the PvPEC and this ladder. Many of those that took part in those events, or watched from the sidelines hoping to one day become a part of that are here now, you ask what they did for PvP, you need only look to what came before you.

The only truth is TGIA made a ruling that you don't agree with...I said a couple days ago to place us at #4, we could care less.

Some of the best times I had in the arena were those original leagues with the drafts, and the early server vs server matches. A large part of that though was the community. A lot of people I really enjoyed playing with are no longer with the game.

Back when he was bashing us for having "too many members", he bestowed that title on himself, believe me we have nothing to do with him, nor do we care to.
Thanks, NC Soft, for closing my favorite game ever without warning and with plenty of life still left in it, and thus relieving me of the burden of EVER wanting to buy, try or even hear about another game from your company. I'm curious whether this is being done in season formats (there is a beginning date and end date for the ladder) or is this being done ad infinitum, until there isn't enough teams left anymore?

Why not? I'd like to think people would "official" matches every week then waiting on one every 3 months.

The PvPEC presents the Supergroup Ladder to run continuously on test server as it is available. This ladder will be an ongoing self sustaining entity and provide participating groups with matches and competition at a higher level between CoH groups.

The ladder is pretty straight forward so as long as test is up (and not closed for beta stuff) then it should be able to maintain constant competition so long as the groups who want to compete with one another remain. It is a way that new groups can join at any time and old groups can leave at any time. Unforeseen issues are sure to arise but they will be easily dealt with as every group who participates has a say in what should be done about such issues.

And it looks like the whole rung issue will be resolved with the scheduled matches.
