Thread Title: PvP SG Ladder Entries
umm no one is giving you credit. You fought 4 sg's and Freaks and OS fought 5. Thier record is 5-1 yours is 4-2. Explain how you get #1 ranking?
By your own groups admission you took screen shots of arena chat and talked to TGIA to assure you were going to get a win out of the non match with ESK..that would mean you knew it was going to count against you...so your group talked to the pvpec to ensure your placing using rules for the ladder not the tournament...
smacks of desperation to me...
I hope the other sgs just drop out of the ladder and do their own thing...ignore JAL completely...like I said you can be #1 all you want...lonely at the top when your the only one playing..gl hf!
Actually TGIA was talked to while we were still logged in... all that needed to happen in order to get the screen shot was just scroll up, lol.
really? any other sg's get to talk to TGIA directly during their matches?
Velocity? OS? FOL?...
the fact you talked to him while logged in means you knew it would count against you and wanted to insure your win..
Wrong again dude, lol. The only reason we talked to TGIA was when groups started saying we'd take a loss for ESK. We then went to him to see his opinion on the situation.
Our record is 5-1 since ESK forfeited their match. I'm sorry that some of you once again want to bust on JAL, but the bottom line is that they agreed to a fight and then left after the match was listed. JAL was there all 6 hours of the open fight times and we tried very hard to get matches against every group. Does anyone REALLY FEEL that we should take a loss in that situation when we were ready and prepared? I give ESK a ton of credit, but does anyone really doubt what the outcome of that match would've been anyway? TGIA did make the call because that set of circumstances was not discussed beforehand. He made a decision based on what he felt was most fair and I would've supported the exact same decision for FoL, OS, Velocity, or any other group in that same set of circumstances.
Another point of contention seems to be that our margin of victory was higher and it was CLEARLY laid out in the TGIA's first post to anyone that took the time to read and prepare that this was a method of dealing with ties. None of these things should be any shock to any of you.
I cut it out for you guys to all read again:
[ QUOTE ]
Initial ranking will be based first on win to loss ratio. Ties will be decided by who has beat whom. In an instance where that does not rectify the problem it will be based on margin of victory, and then on over all victories if mov still does not satisfy the problem.
[/ QUOTE ]
LOL drama... I look forward to the fights. If you guys didn't read that first and fight accordingly, that is not anyone's problem but your own.
Personally, I don't care at all where we start with all your drama, crap, and accusations. Would you just prefer JAL leave the game and have one less group to fight? Everyone seems intent on chasing people off that have success and work hard. I'm sure you'd rather there be even fewer people in the competitive PvP world. Hasn't that happened enough already?
Put us on the bottom rung if it's that big of a deal... we just want to fight matches and do the best we can.

do-over?
funny you seem hell bent on laughing this off as drama and you don't really care where you were ranked...yet during the wait for the match you took it upon yourself to contact the event organizer, a channel not open to everyone..to get a ruiling that it was a forfeit and you would get the win - using ladder rules - you like to post quotes - here -
The ladder will begin immediately following a tournament where every group will face one another to determine starting rank.
- the tournament rules were different - it was stated if you do not fight a team you both will suffer the loss
The winner of an official challenge will be the team that can win two out of three matches. If a team wins the first two matches, a third match is not required.
- again - it was not an official match - since it was one fight 10 mins - not best two out of three - no matter the outcome- you failed to fight all sgs in the time alloted..Perhaps if you did not scrimage against velocity for an hour at the start on wednesday you would have had time.
The first round of an official match must begin within 15 minutes of the designated start time. If the match is not started within this time frame, it is an automatic forfeit of that match by the team that is not prepared. If another 15 minutes pass and the delaying team is still not ready, the prepared team takes the win.
How can this be used to give you the win when it was not a first round of an offical match but a tournament with different rules.
No one is discounting your hard work..or what ever..but it seems you worked very hard behind the scenes to get #1..when everyone was telling you the rules as they knew it..that you would take a loss you took it upon yourself to contact the event coordinator at that time to use the ladder rules to get it determined a win...did you announce in the arena chat that the rules were different? Did you tell everyone? nope.
here is the problem - everyone was playing by the rules but you guys. No one is accusing you of spawn camping or using the targeting hack..plain and simple..you in the alloted time you didn fight the same number of sgs that all FOL, OS, Velocity et all did...you used some of the time to practice for your match with FOL and it cost you a loss...which you promptly got turned into a win for you using rules outside the tournament...
and now you wanna cry poor us...
I bet most of the sgs do want you to just leave...less crying, less drama...lol.
I still say the rest should just leave the ladder and ignore JAL...
kk?
How about we give TGIA some time to actually come in and give a ruling. Don't ignore a group when we already have so few.

From TGIA - check earlier in the thread -
We will then meet up again on Wednesday August 1st at 9 PM EST going til midnight once again. It is expected that SG Captains will simply ask for matches over arena chat. Make sure you face every SG in the ladder on these two nights. If you do not face a group it will be counted as a loss for both groups.
Yes, if a team simply fails to show up you both take a hit. If this is the case it is more than likely going to hit everyone the same way and effectively cancel it out.
One question, If a team fails to show up on either of these nights and you are unable to face them does your team still take the loss as well as the team that wasn't able to show up?
Sunday and Wednesday were chosen as they are usually the most populated nights.
check the thread - read the rules

You keep insisting about forfeits rules that do NOT apply to the round robin, as previously stated by TGIA himself.

Yup.
I think a particularly important part of that rules clarification is the "it's more than likely going to hit everyone" part, which seems to imply that while it'll probably hit everyone, it might not, and them's the breaks.
HAHAHAHA...come back hours and hours later and the same people are still bellyaching, lol.
ESK did show up and our match did commence. They forfeited.
Now you can argue apples and I can argue oranges all [censored] day, but the fact of the matter is, it's over so stop crying about it.
You say we didn't have a match with ESK, I say we did and they forfeited. Guess what? It's over, continuing to cry about it and to throw a tantrum does nothing.
As far as the personal attacks against me, I've played against Velocity, FOL, OS, etc. and guess what? We won every match, so um, yeah....
QQ
Dude I'm not trying to be a [censored], but the rules clearly state if the match doesn't happen it counts as a loss. I'm not for that, as I wish we could of forfeited some of our matches also, but that's how it was. I don't see what the big deal is of just taking your spot at #2 or #3 and getting back to #1 through the natural way of the ladder.

won every match? funny.........JAL has never beaten FoL in anything that counted. I'm glad to see see you count a few practice rounds vs our B squad as wins.
Its all good. We'll be meeting anyway.
BTW...I'm still waiting to hear TGIA's ruling in this.
Drama aside, what happened to the requests to see the math laid out properly, or a ruling on whether "kk" in arena chat means a deadlock acceptance of a match?
