Thread Title: PvP SG Ladder Entries
[ QUOTE ]
TGIA had told us that since a match was agreed upon in arena chat (somebody has it on screen shot, not sure who) and they failed to show up, that it would be counted as a forfeit for them.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd like to see that screen shot then.
In the ladder rules posted above you'll find
"The first round of an official match must begin within 15 minutes of the designated start time. If the match is not started within this time frame, it is an automatic forfeit of that match by the team that is not prepared. If another 15 minutes pass and the delaying team is still not ready, the prepared team takes the win."
Did they agree to a match, and a designated start time discussed?
man - so...
you guys took screenshots of arena chat and consult with the event organizer before hand to ensure it is not counted as a loss? Do you have a screen shot of the event listed where you all joined and waited the 15 minutes for them to join before it was declared a forfiet in your favor?? lol cuz it sounds like that is what you need -- oh wait your title says pvpec event organizer...hmmmm...
so this from Psy who said "you act like we knew we were going to lose" and "we didn't even spike or cage.."(yeah that one is not condescending to the new SG's ..we beat you 400 to nothing and hah we were only half trying.."
guess your run the score up to win strategy backfired and one team left before you got the chance to "not try" against them...so you desperatly took screen shots of arena chat just and called on your organizer buddy to give you the win..when the rules seem to state it was a loss for both...
wow...#1 at any cost...looks like the ladder is a joke before it even gets going LOL..
lol, h0j and Myk on /ac.

Yes, and I'm sure JaL will end up will end up winning the ladder on a technicality as well..
Seriously, grow up kid. No one cares what you have to say, take your BS drama elsewhere. kthx ^^

Arena Chat 1
and
Arena Chat 2

I fail to see in those screenies where ESK agrees to a match, and a time is set, unless you're referring to "kk" as a binding agreement, in which case I guess we should include "kk" in the glossary of the ladder rules.
For the record, I orginally said the comment about psy making his biggest post ever on vent and hoj stole it. I'm in a lounge cause my flight is late, I hope this ladder keeps up though.
Thanks vindizzle

okies then - lets examine something
the rule you are using to get your first place is this -
The first round of an official match must begin within 15 minutes of the designated start time. If the match is not started within this time frame, it is an automatic forfeit of that match by the team that is not prepared. If another 15 minutes pass and the delaying team is still not ready, the prepared team takes the win.
BUT...that is for the Ladder event after this -
The ladder will begin immediately following a tournament where every group will face one another to determine starting rank.
The tournament rules were pretty clear - two days to fight the SG's who signed up. Velocity, OS, FOL all managed to fight 6 groups - you failed to..in the time alotted. The tournament rules stated that it would be counted as a loss for each team.
Realizing this one of your members takes screen shots of an esoteric agreement to match, quotes a rule for the Ladder ..not the tournement and and happens to be in the pvpec?? and you are given the win when clearly that is not in the rules for the tournement.
So no you're not #1 on a technicality..your #1 on a mistake...and having a member who can talk to the person who decides the rules..does not seem to hurt...
and you can dismiss me but it sounds like Ajax, the other sg leaders aren't too happy with that lil fact either...
I mean Mr. Psypunk told Not Putzing "what's the big deal all you have to do is beat us.." not for nothing...they already did.
This is going to be a first, but I actually agree with Groebuck.
The world is coming to an end.
Will you nerds give it a rest? lol
Who the hell cares? FOL has two matches coming up against OS and JAL, that is the point of the ladder.
The ESK and JAL match was listed and agreed upon and many of you were online and commenting in the Arena chat channel at the time. This is not a situation where we had no contact with them and they had no contact with us. A match was agreed upon and listed...hence, an official match was conducted between ESK and JAL and it resulted in a win for JAL due to forfeiture.
There are no shenanigans going on here and "if" JAL had actually won the match with ESK by competition instead of forfeiture, the percentage of our "margin of victory" would've been even higher, thereby further cementing our place in the number one ranking! lol
"If" ESK had not agreed to a match and a match was not officially listed, then TGIA's rules would've applied. That is not the case.
Less bellyaching and more matches...all I read on these forums from a particular SG is bellyaching and excuses for losing like "boohoo, we're being spawn camped and that's why we lose", lol.
Sorry you didn't like the outcome of the tourney, my heart breaks for you. Now, dry it up, and we'll see FOL a week from Tuesday.
GG
lol calling someone a nerd on a video game forum.

You seem to, or else you wouldn't have manipulated the rules to get to #1. You can throw out all the ifs you want to, but the bottom line is you did not get the top seed by earning it according to the rules, your record is 4-1 at best (4-2 if you go by official rules). Try and justify it all you want, but you're still wrong.
You don't seem to get it though...its not the fact that you're the #1 seed at the start, its the fact that you say it doesn't matter but yet manipulated things in order to get the pole position. I don't think that any other SGs really care that you're at the top right now, its how you got there and the BS you're throwing around to justify it. That's what people are calling you on.

LOL - there you go manipulating the rules - funny how you changed the wording on your website too. Looks like the #2 AND #3 SG leaders think it sucks too.
If I were them and the rest of the ladder members I would withdraw just pvp with the other SG's and ignore JAL all together..then you can be #1 all you want..course with only 8 team members your internals will suck..but hey you want #1 that bad..enjoy it...I bet the rest of the groups who obey the rules and play fair and involve their whole sg would be happy to pvp with each other lol...
I think they should create their own ladder..just leave JAL out of it..that way they cannot manipulate the rules to win or stack the numbers...if the PVPEC is going to hand over top seats to teams with members who help make the rules..why even bother?

ok...a few things here.
1- We beat you, so we don't need to make any excuses about losing. If you ended being awarded the top spot for running up scores vs new groups doesn't take away that we beat you in the head to head.
2-The forfeiture clause is for matches AFTER the initial round robin was done. TGIA had explicitly stated that if you didnt fight a group during the 2 designated dates (Sunday and Wednesday) that both teams would be assigned a loss. The round robin was to be considered separate from the ladder, and rules were stated very clearly for each one.
3- Its not JAL, nor FoL that should had finished ranked first. OS was 5-1 same as us, and they had a bigger score differential than us, thus OS should had been awarded the top rank.
I'm sorry if going by the rules sounds like bellyaching to you, but it is what it is, and not matter how much you try to paint it as like you don't care, the fact of the matter is that you do care enough to go making glorious postings on the news section in your website frontpage.
I have a lot of respect for your group, and I have no doubt that JAL is one of the top groups in the game. As such, it is in YOUR best interest to win that top spot by your own merits, rather than fishing for a cheesy technicallity that doesn't even apply.
We'll still pursue the matches and earn our spot on the field.
See ya then.............that is, if you actually get to play on the lineup.

The only time I've ever seen a storm team do -worse- than the run and gun is when JAL plays Psy on his stormie.

Not to mention, our match with OS was 8-5...so, yeah, we're really running up the scoreboard.

are you suggesting that you could have run the score up on us if you wanted to?

should be some good fights in the next couple weeks.
BWAAAHHAhahahHahhahahah!!
You guys give us too much credit. I'm flattered you would think we would all go out of our way to start lol... hacking/cheating/exploiting/and my favorite getting higher placements in the ladder because we got da hook ups. lmao..
but honestly, since everyones getting all riled up about nothing.. like usual, I really don't care what place we're in.. considering we all have to fight each other in the actual ladder... Thanks for the laughs tho, its always funny to see what everyone is getting pissed at JaL for next.
