For the record, I orginally said the comment about psy making his biggest post ever on vent and hoj stole it. I'm in a lounge cause my flight is late, I hope this ladder keeps up though.

I'm not sure exactly who you are, but we don't need drama or someone supporting fol and dissing all other SGs. FoL will continue pvping and we do not need a mascot, Thanks.

If we do get a new forum section (which would be great)
It would be cool if it was split into 4 threads for: Challenges, Results, Rankings and general discussion.
Also, I was wondering how one of the rules is working. Say one SG was open and ready to fight but another was not, or maybe due to scheduling differences or whatever the reason, two SGs were not able to fight. Does this count as loss? I don't care too much about the initial ranking but, like someone in fol said on vent, we could theorhetically create a new SG, fight no one but ourselves and everyone would take a loss.
Also, Since the preliminary time is over, I assume SGs can issue challenges freely and not be limited to only two days of possible fighting? Thanks, sorry if I came off rude, just want to clarify somethings that have me confused.
Oh and also, great matches last night, I was Mykonos? (obviously). -
I just think you're going to see the top 5 settle down in a little bit. And once it becomes what I think it will, it won't change. Still excited about pvp of course though.

the only thing about the ladder that kinda worries me is that, I wish there was a separation of classes.
Like lightweight (defenders, corrs, blasters, ect)
Middleweight (trollers, doms, MMs, ect.)
Heavyweight (stalkers, brutes, tanks, scrappers)
I think it would be more fair for say the great rad/psi duelist. He can beat almost anything and his skill can overcome things that have a slight advantage, but against an EM stalker, he is toast. idk maybe something could be done to make it a conference or league separation. -
pwned
maybe you just answered your question.
fight someone. -

No one is gonna beat that ice tank.

I beat him with my dominator. Of course once he knew my strategy he beat me back but it can be done!
[/ QUOTE ] yeah and I heard Divine beat the ice tank and so did ajax on his ice/cold. It's very beat-able -
I just hope vengeance gets nerfed soon or organized pvp will take a huge toll of interest.

If you're not joking I'll be so
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope, not joking, but, yes, being pedantic. The point of economies being a form of PvP is mostly academic and not the idea of PvP most people, or even I, think of when they see the acronym. I was essentially just attemtping to show that there are systems beyond what most people consider and that there is plenty of room for improvement and change.
As for the "Quatloo/Quatlu" thing -- I'd forgotten all about the quote until someone else here on the forums used the term last week. Apparently, I made the same misspelling they did!
[/ QUOTE ] I hope the most important thing you design in this game is what color the buildings are. -

Player Auction houses are a great example of PvP content
[/ QUOTE ] plz explain
[/ QUOTE ]
yeah I don't see how that's pvp either.
[/ QUOTE ]
The whole sentence he said, "Player Auction houses are a great example of PvP content that is typically embraced by PvE players." PvP = Player vs Player competition. So, I think he means that players will be directly competing against each other in the consignment houses. Just like if they added an implementation of 2 player pong. It would technically be PvP, but not exactly what everyone expects as PvP. It's a somewhat pedantic point.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I specifically went for an example that most people wouldn't think of as PvP. "Pedantic" is, I suppose, deserved.
As for how it is PvP, say you are selling "Progenitor Goo Mk XII" for 800 Quatlu's and I have one I want to sell. I am going to price my item based off not only what the 'market' says it should go for, but also based off of what others are selling for AT THIS MOMENT. So, if I think you're selling too low, I could buy yours, then try to sell both at a higher price. Or, if I think you're selling too high, I can undercut you, reducing your chance of selling. Either way, my actions will effect you, and your actions will effect me. Thus, "PvP."
