the problem with dr on that i see is uh... what team would beat 1 emp 4 blaster? the damage of blaster spikes with DR on is insane. to the point where there is no real viable way to stay alive. 3 sonic blasters throwing just one chain of shriek/scream/shout is roughly 3k damage.

so if you thought dr off was no skill... try playing vs that.

Yes, and one of those is Mind/ for TK. The stalker sets don't really matter because they're only there for AS. This is because somehow people decided ladder rules were going to be DR off, and the only way to kill squishies with capped resists is AS (currently the only unresisted attack in the game, which is probably a bug, and will be "fixed").

Unfortunately that's the only lineup (with possible slight variations, such as subbing a Rad for the Therm) that really works - gg on making PvP more viable for more sets, devs. GG.

the only reason that is the only team used is because everyone is copying renegades. there are other better teams out there but people are slow and cant seem to get past the whole i have to use what everyone else does because it works for them thing.

even easy breezy doesnt run stalkers. they do a damage lineup which has been working alright. to say that only stalker lineup works is just because you dont have the mental capacity to come up with a better lineup.

It does not take a smarty pants to look at builds with out PvP IOs and see that they can not top a force bolt mag KB and that you need unresisted damage vs damage res caped people. Presto Force bolt+AS=win. Sigh. Id say with none of us being on test before the event other than prod and me for like 15 min chillen with spec it was already clear that a KB+Stalker team would be the team to counter. And that team is countered well with PvP IOs toping mid 50s mag KB protection.

It just very limiting that the only source for unresisted damage is stalkers. Maybe LoL Containment. Operating under the assumption that your opponents are not as smart or as good as you is the first step in loosing.

haha its not so much ego as it is frustration. it annoys me to see poeple claiming the stalker team is the only viable strat when i know full well that its not. people just instead of trying to come up with ways to beat it, just try to use it themselves.

your storm team should consider getting epics with res shields btw.





look, here's a quick example just off the top of my head for your particular SGs storm team. try turtling up with pets and freezing rain. stalkers will not be able to AS you because they will always get interrupted. you are going to have a rough time getting a kill, but maybe try tp foe.

and that took what.. 2 seconds? and u now have a team that wont get AS'd

im not really trying to say that this new pvp is better than the old one, but rather that its not that much worse. the biggest factor that is preventing it from being as good is competition. nobody cares enough anymore to actually put forth the effort that was once put out before, which is why now people just slack off copy teams dont practice often... and wonder why it seems dull.

it was always 3 dmg, 2 sonic, 1 kin, 2 emp lineups for jump teams, and then whatever variation of storm team u wished to run.




was there really any other team u saw on test? even now we have 2 viable teams, and would be more if people werent so reliant on using whats already been done and actually going out and trying new things
