The F/X for a Storm Defender's Snow Storm have been alterted to an almost unplayable state. Eight of us from my SG started new heroes last night with one of us playing a Storm Defender. His snowstorm essentially created "white-out" conditions on the targeted group. Meaning that we couldn't see either the other enemy mobs our our fellow teammates -- the screen was almost totally white. This is not an issue specific to my machine. Every member of my group had the exact same complaint. In case this makes any difference, we were playing on the Infinity server.
I know the snowstorm F/X were improved in a previous issue. There was no need to improve them any further. Please reset the snowstorm F/X to their Issue 7 state.
What I find unfortunate is that these issues were known for 3+ weeks from the test server, and yet they were not fixed before pushing it to live. Why have a test server is you're not actually going to use it correctly to test and fix before release?

Still not a quaranteed fix. I tried last night without selecting the prestige sprint or temp weapon and I still got a respecfailed message

When I claim my Preorder Sprint Power reward, the button doesn't get removed from the badge window. I can keep clicking on it and seeing the "Veteran Reward Claimed!" text pop up over and over again.

That is deliberate. Apparently the prestige sprints can disapear during a respec so they left the button allowing you to reclaim them.

Yeah, this has been happening on my controller now for months. I thought my graphics were going wiggy..
Went to pick a new Title for one of my toons, noticed the new veteran titles...well picked my new one, hit ok, nothing happened. The option to pick a title disapeared. /bug'd it but guess i'll have to wait for 20 levels since i can change all i want supposidly at 50.

Here's a real kicker of a glitch. Was doing Frostfire and the mission had no ice or fire effects during the whole mission on the wals or floors. But the whole team was still slipping and sliding on.....bare carpeted floors.

The Thug MM Tier 1 and Tier 2 upgrades are still not working..
if you use the Tier 2 upgrade then the Tier 1 .. the upgrades work but the graphics will not display correctyly. it also seems that you can double stack a tier 2 upgrade.. because it will display upgrade 1, upgrade 1 for the pet powers.
I suspect its a glitch with the upgrades not being applied and not a graphics issue. but I'll let the devs sort that out.

Actually, the 2nd upgrade isnt showing up for me AT ALL no matter which order I do it. This absolutely kills my thugs MM, becuase I can not tell which upgrade has been given. When I have to resummon quickly in a fight, it's very easy to get things out of order. Plus, it makes my trenchcoat 50% less cool!
I hope this gets fixed soon becuase it's the one character I have that is close to lvl 50. Right now, it's unplayable.

The equip and upgrade keep over writing each other as far as the thug graphics. It's like the check to see if one has been applied is not there and the combined graphics never get turned on. Also, the bruiser does not have his combined graphics either.
The lack of enforcer trenchcoats alone make thugs 66% less cool. My arsonist with no dynamite takes away another 16.6%. The bruiser with no chains or dew rag? Please help!! Aside from the cool/intimidation factor the different graphics are needed to tell which pet needs which upgrade. It is a playability issue!

Anyway, until this is fixed, you'll have to rely on the icons next to the pet window.
In case those reading are new to MMs...
First, go to options and enable the pet window. Then, on the team window, click on the word 'pet' to open the pet window. Click on the arrow on the right side to display icons.
If the icons are too small to see, you can enlarge them and the whole pet window with the following command, but first, undock the pet window from the chat window by clicking the blue radio button on the top of the pet window. Then type...
/windowscale pet 1.2
This will increase the pet window and icon graphics by 20%. (1.15 = 15% increase, 1.07 = 7%, and so on...)
With the pet window undocked, you can move it anywhere. You can put the inspiration tray right next to the pet window for easy drag and drop giving of inspirations. Or near the power tray so you can see in one view which pet needs an upgrade, click the pet and then the power in the tray.

Onimuchi Warrior chest armor piece shows up as on my toon in the costume selection screen in icon, but once I click next and am back in the game world, the chest armor piece disappears. This happens when I try to select each of the different samurai chest armor pieces. I /bugged it but figured I'd mention it here. Was the same for other "samurai" in Icon in SC at the time.

sounds like your in a SG. make sure you have "hide SG icon" selected.. then the chest armor shows up..

I proudly went to pick the 30 month veteran reward badge "Committed" for my character and discovered that it's listed in the badge window as "Commited."
I would find that disheartening, but poor spelling and grammar in CoX is nothing new. Did they ever fix all the it's/its mistakes?

However, in Faultline, something is seriously odd with the bloom effect or world detail or something. Anything in the distance is super cloudy and super soft, almost cartoon like (and it's not all that distant either). Other zones, such as in CoV, have a very nice distance effect going on - but Faultline is bizarre. The Faultline zone is like traveling in a bubble of clarity, while everything outside of it is horrendously soft and blurry - it kind of looks like a menacing dream sequence.

Sounds like depth of field. I have DoF and bloom effects turned off. I might try turning water effects down from "High" to see if that does anything with FSAA, too.

I had HUGE amounts of lag from wings, not mine, but others around me. This was in Police Band missions and safeguard missions. I had already set my graphics to low, and I was using -useTexEnvCombine switch on my updater (it's the only way I get reasonable frame rate on my laptop in Grandville). The Safeguard maps where laggy but extremely laggy around winged players.
Suggestion to the Dev's, include wing animation in the option to see/reduce player FX.
Thanks to ventrillo, our group discovered last night that whenever someone changed into a trenchcoat costume those in the immediate area would lockup. This occurred when on the same team or not.
Testing to see if lockup issues occur when zoning by someone with a trenchcoat on causes the same issues would be a recommendation to the Devs.
Costume: Female, Fat Stripe 2, color not working correctly.

Are we supposed to have a bunch of the same number of Vet Reward badges visible to everyone? One for the actual months played, one for a free costume, one for a respec, for example. Myself and everyone I looked at had the same thing. 2 and 3 of the same Vet badge icons. Seems odd. I would expect to see only one badge for each of the months. No reason for me to know someone else has a respec or free costume left...
Well, this has been an issue for a while, but it's definitely still in I8:
When using Mind Control's Levitate within indoor maps, mobs will sometimes go through the ceiling's geometry. This happened to me several times last night. The problem can be compounded when using TK on the mob (as it will sometimes push the mob into different rooms while still in the ceiling). I've contacted a GM before on a timed mission that I nearly failed, because this bug will sometimes make the mob get stuck in an area that is impossible to target and, therefore, undefeatable (unless you have access to a targeted AoE power...which still doesn't always work). Of course, the lower the ceiling, the more likely this is to happen. Behemoth Overlords and Warhulks in low-ceiling maps are the ideal criteria for replicating this bug.
The "using chat handle" message pops up randomly every now and then.
Looping sound bug still there.
Wings don't animate when using Super Jump. (bug or misfeature?)
On the bright... er, dark side, the graphic tweak for Shadow Fall looks sweet, especially when flying/jumping.

In my experience, it is the claiming of the perma-temp powers (Ghost Slaying Axe, Sands of Mu, etc.) that cause the RespecFailed error, and not the Prestige Sprints. I have tested this several times in various manners on the Test server. I can respec fine if I claim just the Prestige Sprints. But if I claim the Axe or the Sands, I fail miserably.

Must second that. I claimed just the sprints on one kheld and not the 12 month power and respec fine, but on my second kheld with both sprints and the 12 month power respec failed. I'm not slotting the sprints either.
here is an issue not listed:
The teleportation links to faultline if they where already placed on teleport terminals will send the recipient to the old faultline not the new one.
Right now the game will make you exit the old map after a short period....sometimes instantly and sometimes after a few minutes....but you will still have been teleported to the old faultline map.
(personally i hope that this map is kept and used later like maybe for some time travel fun...as i always felt secret areas and places for people to hang out is always alot of fun.)
MANY invisible map graphics. Caves in the Hallows suffer ALOT. Shadow Shard areas have this issue. Frostfire is another good example.
if something is laid out as an extra or layered graphic in a map, it's almost always invis. (Ice patches, big bums in the floor from Hallows caves, grating in Shadow Shard, ect...)
Frame rates yesterday pre I8 were around 30.
Same settings today (and turned down some things) is around 15 max 8 average.
Some odd costume coloration with respect to SG mode and normal mode when selecting colors. I got invited to an SG, tried to set up my colors, and the whole costume from shoulders to boots was black on black no matter what I picked.
Safeguard missions are the bomb though....
Faultline missions are kinda hinky when it comes to the level range. I do the first 2 contacts starting at level 15, and am only 17 when I get to the third, which won't give you mishs till 20. That seems a little spread out to me. Never remember having this issue in the Hallows, or Croatoa or Striga. Maybe 1 level difference but never 3.
Some odd lag in clicking a power and it going off, or a power looking recharged and it not being done yet (by like 10 or so seconds). It's like at a hami raid lag wise, only not so bad.
Base kick you out bug back.
If you try to enter your base and you have a loading screen when the base would be kicking you out (see above bug) you hard crash to the desktop.
I'll add more as I find em. I'm bugging these in game too.
One thing to add here, and that's to make sure everyone is using the most recent video drivers. I updated my nVidia ones last night (they came out with a new set recently) before playing with the new patch and haven't seen any problems yet.
My level 28 Warshade is having a graphics glitch while in Nova form. After 5 minutes or so on the same map, my warshade's nova form suddenly looks very human. Other people on team with me confirmed that they too saw the human graphic flying around with nova attacks (the cone attack even produces a rifle to fire).
Two separate players I missioned with had this problem on Tues. They entered a map and would move around, but could not interact with anything, similar to some lag instances. The thing is, the character could type in chat and hold a conversation with the rest of the team while this "lag" occurred. Both players had to restart the game in order to fix the bug.

That's server side lag. Lot more players on then usual. Lots of bugs to flush out. Animations and graphics still need streamlining.
Compared to I6 and I7, we're doing very well... no large spread disconnects or server crashes.

Everytime I use the Veteran Award Base Teleport to go to my base I am quickly (within a few seconds) teleported back out of my base to where I teleported from. Other methods of getting to my base work.
