  1. Yeah, you're right. It just makes a major story arc for villains a PITA and well... villains have enough content.
  2. It's been broken for YEARS. It's one of the better story arcs one gets around that level. It's one of the first times a new player might encounter a signature villain.

How long could it possibly take to redirect the marker?
  3. eh, I had to get it off my chest
  4. FIX THE MISSION MAP MARKERS IN THE SEER MARINO ARC.

FIX THEM!!!!!! MAKE THEM POINT TO THE CORRECT MISSION DOOR!!!

WHAT ARE THEY HARD CODED INTO THE GAME ENGINE BY UNICORNS OR SOMETHING?

    IT'S BEEN BROKEN FOR YEARS!!!

FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT!!!!

    Thanks
  5. From the article:

With two separate builds, will you have to outfit both builds separately with Enhancements? Won’t this end up increasing your costs?

Yes & Yes. This feature has been heavily requested by our player base and we’re excited to be the first MMO to make this feature available. That said if you are worried about your Inf. being drained by this, the system, like many others we have added, is completely optional. If you have never found yourself asking for a different, situational build then you don’t need to worry about this feature at all.

Buying and crafting IO's is already a tedious time sink. You may as well roll and level another character.

As long as "Fixing" PvP does not involve wholesale NERFAGE of PvE, as it has to date, I'm all for it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I know! PVE is so much more difficult now since all those crazy nerfs! It's like, almost impossible!
  7. I'll definately pick up the costumes, but I won't buy the jet pack because it's temporary. (I'd gladly pay 9.99 or even 14.99 for a permanent jet pack.) Otherwise, great work as usual.

Yeah, this is really quite difficult for them. Reskinned player Night Widows and Bane Spiders. Like we're not sick of dark evil shadowy eight legged mean spiders with webs of eight legged evil and shadowy dark evilness led by a demi-god named Lord Recluse.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah man. What's up wit dat? They just right clicked a couple of things and BAM Issue 12. It was just that easy. Game developing is easy.

If I were you man, I'd totally quit.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why? I don't have to play an archetype I think is boring, unoriginal and distasteful.

Just colour me confused about why, WHY they'd make this arachnos. They should've realised by now that tying our characters into Arachnos is just ... freakin' ... boring.

As for Kheldians, I've seen them RP'd as angels, as energy blasters, as essentially anything. They're not rehashed versions of Longbow though. They're a unique Archetype with a unique storyline.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well no, you don't have to play it. But I wouldn't just toss it off as an "easy" thing to put together. Personally, I'm just happy it's not a squid or a lobster.

Ok I'm projecting forward a bit here because I've played so many of these games and I feel like I know where this is going which I admit is not fair of me. What I am seeing is that this is just the first. It's a test to see how many people will pay $10 for very little. Not only that, but to judge the reactions of the players. At the way it's looking now the test might work well for them. What would that mean? What I see is that the next time there's a new set of costume options to add they don't put it in for free. Instead they charge $10 for it. Instead of adding new emotes the charge $10 for it. This is what I feel would be wrong.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Again, why is that wrong?

They make something new, something not required to play the game. They price it. They offer it for sale. Where's the "wrong" in that? You can play the game exactly as before without paying for the doo-dad they offer.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Because part of our monthly fee was already supposed to pay for that. Now, they're reducing the resources for those of us who just pay the monthly fee to produce for their "premium" customers, who are willing to pay through the nose for extras that before NC $oft we were already paying for, and receiving, with no additional price, or hassle.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Come on man. It's 9.99. Whoppity dew.

Even if you have minimum wage working skills, it's just not a lot of money.

And if it IS a lot of money to you, then 14.99 a month must have you eating government cheese.

In fact, I don't know of a single game where anything other than a very minor addition/upgrade to the game is given away, except CoH.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    WoW.

Only one paid expansion, LOTS of content added since release, just like CoX.

And unlike CoX, they don't build for Alliance only.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes but an important difference is, WoW blows.
  15. I bought it.

I would not have purchased it if I didn't like the costumes, but they are so very excellent that I just had to buy it.

Give Jay a raise, he does great work. Well done. Sold.
  16. [ QUOTE ]

And yours is a stance I can not agree with. The reason MMOs charge $15 a month is two-fold. The first reason is to maintain the servers. The second is to hire a development team to program free upgrades. If this is $10 package thing becomes standard then we are missing out on upgrades which should have been free in the first place.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Many MMO's charge for things that CoX does not, and vice versa. It's a business. They like to make money.
  17. Oh nice. Maybe they could fix the trenchcoats then
  18. <QR>

Do the tuxedo tails have the horrible butt cape trench coat physics going on? Or do they actually look ok?
  19. [ QUOTE ]

I'm really sorry to keep beating the same old drum but yeah... some of this stuff has been broke for years. Isn't it time it was just fixed already? Shouldn't at least some of this old stuff get fixed before you spend manhours creating more bugs to add to the game?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm pretty sure that the costume artists aren't involved in fixing gameplay bugs.
  20. [ QUOTE ]

AND YES I BOUGHT HORSE ARMOUR, get off my case already.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I bought the horse armor too. I mean come on, it was like... $1.50
  21. [ QUOTE ]

This makes no sense. The wedding pack is fluff, which is why it isn't worth money.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This entire game is fluff. It's entertainment.
  22. I'll buy this for 9.99 because I like to support a game that gives plenty of free content back to me.

I'll also add now that I would gladly pay 25 bucks for an option to roll new characters starting at level 25. On two accounts even.
