Vet Reward badges with a clickie button are not really badges, they are reward selection windows. They just happen to use the badge graphic in the window. Clicking some rewards causes the reward claim window to disappear (respecs, tokens, attack powers), while other don't (Sprint reward, base decorations).

Perhaps some of the confusion could be cleared up if the Devs gave us a specific "reward" graphic for the items we can't select as a badge title. Or simply no graphic at all.
It's called the Arena devs. Fix it.

Faultline missions are kinda hinky when it comes to the level range. I do the first 2 contacts starting at level 15, and am only 17 when I get to the third, which won't give you mishs till 20. That seems a little spread out to me. Never remember having this issue in the Hollows, or Croatoa or Striga. Maybe 1 level difference but never 3.

This could be to encourage you to continue to do missions outside of that zone as well. With Hollows there is no gap between contacts and so many players end up missing a lot of content (including badge missions needed for accolades, like Speluker). Could be they are trying to avoid making a similar mistake with Faultline. So go back to your Skyway and Steel Canyon contacts and see what they have for you.

As above, this is probably intended to get players to continue to do missions outside that zone. They should fix the Hollows so it does the same thing, or at least have one of the contacts remind you that there are other things going on in other zones at some point.

Yeah, I saw they disappear once you retrieve the item (respec, costume token, etc), I just found it strange to be able to see other people's remaining things.
I'm having problems with my teleport beacon to faultline from my SG base. It shows the old faultline load screen, sends me to the zone, then sends me to atlas in about one second. anyone else having this problem?

Went to pick a new Title for one of my toons, noticed the new veteran titles...well picked my new one, hit ok, nothing happened. The option to pick a title disapeared. /bug'd it but guess i'll have to wait for 20 levels since i can change all i want supposidly at 50.

Known Issues on the Live Servers
1. To unlock Veteran Rewards (respecs, powers and/or costume tokens) you must first click on the associated badge button. To find this button please go to the "Veteran Reward" tab on your badge menu and scroll through your rewards. This is by design.
2. If you are experiencing any issues with chat windows taking up the whole screen please use this workaround:
1) Click on Menu, then Options.
2) Select the Graphics and Audio tab and scroll to the section where it has the Screen/UI Resolution and 3D Resolution Scaling.
3) Change the 3D Resolution Scaling to match the Screen/UI Resolution.
4) Click "Save Changes" and this should resolve this issue.
3. Workaround for changing the inside color of Veteran Reward Trenchcoats:
For characters who have already unlocked a Cape:
- Equip a cape and set the colors you desire for your Trenchcoat
- Switch back to the Trenchcoat
For characters who have not unlocked a Cape:
- Select the Trenchcoat, use the "copy color to all" button, select the color you want for the inside of the tail. Select any other costume option then de-select the "copy color to all" button.
4. We are aware of and working to correct an issue that could have players experience global chat outages while in missions or in supergroup bases.
5. The phase alignment and mystical energies of Supergroup base teleporters to Faultline are currently not working correctly.
6. Players may experience respec issues while slotting energy flight, rest, or sprint. If you would like to slot any of these powers we highly suggest you hold on to your respec for the time being.
7. Power: Aim in hte Blaster Electric Blast set uses teh same animation as the Blaster Energy Blast version.
8. The Numina Task Force can not currently be completed. New sensors must be calibrated to properly gather information from the group of Vahzilok that now infest Frontline.

(Actually, all of #8 doesn't make sense to me, and I just did Numina last week. It seems #8 and #5 are not technical reasons, but cutesy in-game, in-character reasons. I guess the other numbered items are missing their out-of-character double parentheses.)

Some of mine also disapeared. I do not know how many yet, but on one I am now left only with the two masks. I will have to check my other toons tomorrow to see if any more was removed/lost. The only bummer is that I had not used any of it to get the 5th costume slot yet on any toons.

Another issue...
The "ornate 2" emblem is STILL not appearing on any base item such as banners, holograms, etc. This has been a known issue for months and the support team says they can do nothing about it, only the game designers. I had hoped that with all the new base goodies in I8, there would also be a fix for this bug. Unfortunately not.
I just jumped around this thread a bit but I didn't see either of the things I've noticed.
One isn't a bug, I'm sure. It simply sucks, but it may have led to one of my bugs. When I Logged in my first toon, I claimed everything except the Sand/Ax (still undecided there) It took 20+ minutes for the game to stop telling me I had cliamed an item. Even when I exited the toon back to the log in screen, I still got 5+ minutes of "Veteran Reward Claimed" and "Base Item Awarded" Doe it really HAVE to display that pop up thing for every one of the items in a bundle of 14? Now, maybe it's not quite this bad because....
I popped into my base to check out the new items and found that I had 5 to 20 of each one except the signature Hero/Villain Items. 20 Nem Rifles, 20 cases of CoT weapons, It looked to be about 20, I got kicked out of the base before I finished counting the first set, but I was close and on 17. Now, the amount of time I spent claiming stuff would make sense if it flashed the message for each of the 20 copies of th 14 things. I don't know if my logging out while it was still flashing them up was a factor or not.
Bug 2 (also happened in I7): The pet control buttons have been removed from every powertray on every MM toon I have. They weren't even replaced with the default ones. It's like they were just erased.
My first short story (detective fiction) came out in Jan-2012. Other stories and books to follow, I hope. Because of "real writing". COH was a big part of that happening.
While i was trying to do some missions with teams i had the game freeze and a window pop up syaing COH must close due to an error and tell us what you where doing when this happened. It happen twice to me in a matter of 10 minutes im not sure what may have cause them as one i was in the mission and the second i was entering one.
My Known Issues
1. Posted this in the bug section already but Dark Astoria is closed down. Nobody can enter to go to any of their missions in there.
You click on the hazard zone to enter, it goes into loading screen and freezes up. You have to go to your task manager, close down the game, and then you're free of the frozen screen.
However the zone isn't working. Tried again this early morning. Seems to be Virtue specific so far.
2. My Updater has this new problem where I can get into the game fine and it updates fine so I don't need to use the workaround.
Problem is, I can't access any other links on the updater page whether it be my account, news, server status, or any of the seven links at the top. Also any links they provide in the middle of the updater are broken as well.
Top links are broken now since Issue 8 was applied.
3.Costume bugs with the trenchcoat
(a)The interior color problem has been explained elsewhere so I'll skip this one for the time being.
(b)Anyone with Ice Armor looks really wrong wearing the trenchcoat. The tails stick out funny so unlike wings, your trenchcoat is like phantom zone and passes through your character. The phasing of a costume through one's character should not be happening but it is.
(c) Now this is funny in a way. Anyone with a full body aura looks ridiculous as the trenchcoat hangs off your character's back like a window shade. This includes the look of a curtain rod. So with a full body aura, the mantle or collar part of the trenchcoat disappears.
The last mission in Synapse TF the junk piles are all invisible now. 4 man team and no one could see them but they were clearly still there.
YEAH! I found a bug not yet posted about!
Khelds graphics-
yes I know about the form changing to human graphic glitch but this post isnt about that... 2 things;
1. don't know about peace bringers but on my warshade, when jumping with my left side next to a wall, while in mid air the graphics for a PPD riot shield apeared in my left hand and the PPD baton was in my right but dissapeared upon landing. I have a screeny of this and wasnt sure if it was the cause of the kheld graphic glitch. can't test this on my stone brute since you can't jump in granite form.
(on a side note any one else beside me think it would be a cool option to add in the graphics area to keep human form on durring form switching? for anything that graphicaly changes your look from a togle, specificaly the Khelds and stone armor)
2. also to do with khelds... some times my toon will dissapear all together but wierder still is that when he does the graphics that accompany it can only be described as a green halo animation from radiation heal with out the heal ring + the hospital teleport blue downward streaks.

on a sepporate note, the release notes for I8 said there were new plaques added to faultline, I used the new in game map download to locate them all but was not given any history badge and I have all other history badges and have visited every plaque from every other zone including PVP zones previously... bug or intentional? whats the point of added plaques if they don't award a history badge?

last bug is a pre I8 issue i have been living with for a long time. I was messing with my pets options for my mastermind (ff/bot) and accidently turned off the hide auto powers... now no matter what i do (currently hide auto powers is set to dissable) my pet auto powers and my tier 1 and 2 upgrades will not show at all, even on application. i petitioned it and basicaly was given the brush off (thanks for letting us know, can't help you any further)

Something is odd with the COT portals. The travel portals, not the summoning ones. When I go thru one, the camera jumps around 180 degrees as I walk thru, then it cuts to the other side of the portal where the camera jumps around again as I do a short "walk thru the door" animation as if I came out an elevator. I no longer just walk in one side and out the other.
If these now work like elevator doors with the animations, can we just get them to be clickable like the doors? Maybe this is caused by the combination of the played animation with the positioning when it triggers?
These portals were also completely black on the mission map. Could have been just one particular portal-connected hallway, though, I haven't run enough COT missions to see every portal variation.

Yeah this gave me a sad face. I was waiting for one of the custume tokens with vet rewards to create a new costume with a jacket and skull belt. So, I get to creating the outfit and find that they are missing. I bugged it and have not heard anything since. I gots to have teh skull belt, no villain is truly hardcore without it. Hopefully this is just a *ahem* minor oversite and will be corrected by next week.
I've never had a CTD with either CoH or CoV (not counting Beta's & TR of course) - with the release of this issue I've had 3 CTD's.
TWICE on the same GW Arc 3 mission (Rescue Doc somesuch) - where after being on the map for a good bit and taking down some PPD, I CTD. Everyone else on my team CTD's too. This was bugged and the bug report sent in.
ONCE on the Atlas SG map just as I tried to enter, this time only some part of the team CTD's. My second attempt to SG Atlas worked fine.
I've also noticed that on HUGE character body types the Onimoshi and one other chest type actually makes the upper arms (bi/tri cep area) go transparent - I'll have to retest this and take screenshots and send in the bug (John Silence/Victory/CoV).

This might not be I8 specific but the training room toon copy tool isn't working. Wait all this time for my respec and can't get on the damn test server with my toons.

Is more hard locks, stability, and disconnection issues known issues?
I have had game crash live more in the last 2 hours, than in the last 6 months b4 I8. Sure I can expect a little lag with all the new content, and more players flocking to the servers for them. 2 fatal errors in a span of 1-2 hours, is not normal, something is wrong! I only crashed once on test (mind you I did less stuff on test, since well, no XP).
I can't even play my game. Can't help team while verifying image for 5 mins, meanwhile the team is in the middle of a large nemi fight, and I, the only defender, get booted off, and asked "what was I doing at the time crash occurred?" ---- Oh I don't know --- trying to play. Sure I can give details, but that just means my team goes that much longer with no heals. Do I wanna help, sure. I have reported on every crash that I have ever seen b4 today. Have I got a responce on what caused it, or an update on the fix? Nope. Nada. Only if I use the ingame /bug, which will take almost 10 minutes to get back up.
Sorry for soapboxing, I'm really aggitated!
Not sure if its been mentioned before but when doing my Faultline missions from the first contact, the two AVs that I came across gave me level 4 Single Origins instead of level appriopiate ones.

From when I8 was on Test and we complained about that we were told the Devs would be looking into it.
Wings are by no means completed. They haven't even added the physics for the feathers yet.
