Seeing those Floating Rularuu eyes was kinda scary..I was askurd.

Id rather play it as a stand alone game with end user multiplayer option than not play it at all...

Im thinking of possible options NCSOFT and us players have. If you think the only option is NCSOFT sells the rights to another company to maintain it as an MMO..what happens when the company they sell it to cancels it? We do this all over again?

If they come out with a stand alone game it will be around just about forever. I mean I dont know about you but if I buy a game I want to be able to put it away and play it later. Hell. I still have a PS1 game I play. And a couple Sega Saturn games I will probably get out once the game goes offline.

I figure Ive spent over $1000 on this game. As of December 1 what will I have to show for that?

Way back the day when trip mine was awesome..like late 2005. In the northwest part of Brickstown there is a warehouse with Freakshow that I would grind for xp. There is a fence near the street with a tree by the fence. I was on my fire/device blaster. I told my friend to watch this. I put 5 trip mines in the tree. Pulled a Freak tank from the otherside and jumped the fence. He jumped on the fence and then jumped in the tree. BOOM. Havent laughed that hard in a long time. Might have to try that again before close.

Im thinking NCSOFT would be the ones to release it. Not sure how Steam generates revenue but I wonder if this would be attractive to both.

What are the chances of COH going to a stand alone format sold by say STEAM...and given limited multiplayer access?

There is one thing people who want boycott and death to NCSOFT need to start thinking about. If they go out and do what they feel in their heart and rebell...all the "level heads will prevail" people will blame them for anything bad that happens. So really its a lose lose.

I don't think anyone that is talking on these forums know what is going on with NCSOFT and City of Heroes (red names dont seem to be saying much). So thinking of a plan of attack and saying someone else has bad ideas is crazy and just puts us against each other.

The closing of COH is going to hurt MMO's in general. Not just NCSOFT's titles.

As for me I have no interest in getting involved in another MMO. $15 /month comes out to $180/year. That's a lot of used xbox games. And when I buy those games they are my property. I can turn around and sell the games and buy others. Where my coh toons and the billions I have made are the property of NCSOFT.

The fraud statement in this article is interesting. I wonder if there will be a class action lawsuit in the future.

I think NCSoft is putting funding into GW2 that was meant for COH. I think thats why they did it so abruptly. If they waited and went out in a nice way it wouldn't benefit their cash cow.

I was getting ready to respec all my toons. I was licking my chops at the thought of playing my fire/device blaster. Maybe I'll transfer him to beta and respec but it isnt the same.

I was getting excited reading that. Then I got mad. So many changes. So much work. As a player Im upset. But if I was a dev...this must be devastating.

I just bought the Nature powerset on the Paragon market. You should be able to buy if you have the points. I also got a couple costume pieces.
