  1. Went to pick a new Title for one of my toons, noticed the new veteran titles...well picked my new one, hit ok, nothing happened. The option to pick a title disapeared. /bug'd it but guess i'll have to wait for 20 levels since i can change all i want supposidly at 50.

    [/ QUOTE ] However this is my thoughts exactly. Out of all my toons, only my MM and possibly one of my defenders would be meat by a single teleporter or a teleporter's team.

    I would agree with you, if a brute, tank, what ever did get TP foe'd by a team of hero/villians he/she got a good chance that he'll get dropped if he dosent pick flight over fight.

    What It does concern me, that it'll put MM's back into the 2 shot category by solo teleporters and gaurenteed kill by teleporting teams , even if the MM wants to flee as soon as the tp foe animation goes off.

    So yes, it should go across the board, however it does give disadvantage to a MM. He comes across the teleport without his primary powerset.

    Wanna TP FOE my scrapper, tank or sometimes even my storm defender. Sure ive walked out of quite a few of those unharmed, and sometimes even the victor.

    This will be just one thing I dislike about BG. Its proving to be rarely to somewhat usefull in PvE already, as guessed. I was just hoping it would be least a benefit for PvP without a huge gaping hole in the protection it provided.

    I guess in retrospect, I could even be happy if TP FOE against a MM in BG mode, had a random chance of TP'ing one of the defending pets INSTEAD of the MM. After all, perhaps he got in the way of the teleporters aim.

    [/ QUOTE ] Im just hoping you've been playing for alot longer then your forum reg date, and or, perhaps you forgot to list your other many toons that would show that you possibly have usefull experience and helpful information other then snippy comments that just invite people to look at you funny.

    That would be like me saying "oh thats is why flurry is teh uber, my dear" and not realizing i just put my foot into my mouth.

    Alexis was alot nicer in her reply then I would of been, then again, the forums attitudes of late, have been putting me in moods lately. /sigh, really miss that first year after CoH beta when the forums were populated by helpfull, methodical, testing and serious, yet courteous postings.

    No wonder only the rep's of the dev's post here anymore.

    However, back to add to the topic, I agree with you Alexis, and on top of that. Since PFF was our only protection vs TP foe, it too has become "less than" optimal to use in a PvE or PvP setting due to the loss of pet control unless as a last ditch effort.

    So easiest way around MM's BG function in PvP, just keep the pets away and you'll still have a easy kill.
  5. Since Im sure this is a bug related to the bodygaurd, maybe maybe not. I already saw one post about this elsewheres.
    Seems to be working as intended. Pets take dmg for me, as long as they are in range.

    Seems to be a bug with my heal bots, not healing when I switch them to agressive, attack my target.
    So I tried again, got rid of all the bots, resummoned, found a big set of mobs, used attack my target, agressive as I do live server. When my bots got 3/4 health down, none of my protector bots were healing.

    Just read another thread about someones medic not healing, seems to be a thing across the board.
    Other then the bots being "jittery" IE not wanting to stand still, even without the presense of a mob.

    Did notice I cannot command my pets in PFF. No comment on this change in the patch.
    I do like being able to upgrade and go in missions now alot faster , a good fix for teamed missions, and great fix for dying so much in pvp.

    However im sure this is just a healing bug in the intial release. Good luck Devs, so far though, the other changes I really like.

    Though I can understand the change to PFF, Im just bummed because it was my favorite way to keep from being repetitively TP foe droned.

    Badge Questions

    Sorry in advance, dont know if this has already been asked.

    I know this would be a lot of work. Is it possible though that we can either get badges or some system of checking which AV's we have fought.

    Im working on my praetorians arc, however between my toons I have done antimatter, neuron , infernal, etc etc etc ad infinitum, and I cant honestly say if I have done people like mailase etc if at all.

    Sure I can just go do it again when someone gets it, however the rare ones id hate to pass up on because im doing bobcat for the 4th time.

    Anyway we can get badges or some sort of flags (perhaps in the souvineer (sp) area for the AV's in general?

    IE "you have collected the helmet of Antimater" You have collected Infernal Axe" etc.

  8. Same goes with the two factions fighting..say 3 coralax and 3 council...depending on how I feel at the moment, I'll AS one side of the faction, and tip the scales. They tend to keep fighting if you get out fast enough.
  9. same thing happend today:

    I AS a council Lt. Half a block away this fortuna (purple) decides she didnt like that and chases me all over the map. Tried to see if it was a time bug or area bug, but far as I know I left her on the other side of the map and she showed up a few minutes later. Then letting her chase me merrly around for 5 mins, she never gave up till I ran back and into a mission.

    In that mission, when I would AS someone, mobs would come out from the rooms down the hall and around the corner to attack me. It was like there was a boom mic attached to my sword..making it go "CLANG..HERE I AM!"

    Didnt happen all the time, so it wasnt like a all the time bug, very unpredictible.

    So then after leaving the mission, I imediatly pick up a paper mission "council in port oaks, so I head to the trainer, stop at the quatermaster. Friend in Mercy wants me to help, so I wander to the boat. Hop over to mercy island

    Half way across MI's map, Out of the blue, as im hidden, two council attack me. Could of been a ambush, but dont ya think they would of attacked 5 min's ago while in the zone where the mission is?

    Anyways, thats the jist of my odd aggro bug day in port oakes.

    Egad, once again I naturally home in on the "weakest" set

    always picking the weakest of the AT in each powerset, only to change later on and breath a sigh of relief...However...not this time!

    Smoke bombs? Gotta have that! Blinding powder is still in the hmmmm stage. Trying to fit in caltrops... etc etc etc

    However I noticed a few things from those screenshots and from being there...

    A) All the devs took stamina

    B) they all had a power pool called resistance..prolly due to
    global defense cut. They left those hero's back to patrol
    kings row where it's safer. Notice theres no fire or ice
    tanks in the freedom phalanx, too squishy

    B) They herded us and loved it, now they know how my tank
    used to feel knee deep in minions.

    C) I had a blast, even though by time I finally fought all the
    lag, got close enough to back street brawler to use the all
    powerfull "/em batsmash" emote on him, my cpu crashed
    for the 5th time. I called it a night.

  12. Ok here's the final version Im gonna go with for my Tank after I5, Ive also included the final version of what he'll look like at 50th. Using the free respec to get the first version, and my saved respec at 50 to get the final version.

    I wanted at this level to maximize the Build up/whirling hands/ET/TF/Fireblast/Whirling hands combo. As it is now, I can get off this attack routine before Build up disapates. It's very effective per group. However it's a bit end intensive.

    Why two recharge redux in whirling hands? well the dmg loss is made up for being able to get it off twice in a build up time limit. If i removed one redux and put a dmg, then I could only get it off once.

    Burning aura, either it's been such a long time ive actually put dmg enhancers or they've upped the dmg. With my usual of 1 acc and 2 endo's, I do 9pnts a tick. With 3 dmg enhancers I do 20pnts a tick, more if they're vunerable to fire.

    So ive noticed with BA doing it's dmg on the side, along with the boost that build up gives (around 37pnts a tick) and doing my Whirling fist routine, it's very very effective.

    Tough, got to have tough. Without tough Even level rikti boss was doing 74.5 pnts of lethal dmg, with tough he only did 26.4 pnts lethal dmg. A BIG difference. Im only going with 2 Slots of dmg res cause I ALWAYS ALWAYS keep my resistances ++ when ever possible, and usualy they get the upgrade before my dmg. After all, im a tank.

    Taunt..course, after all, im still a tank.

    One thing different from this build and my current one. I was a sole believer in Conserve energy, and plus I thought Lazer beam eyes was suiting for my "theme fun power".

    Well, I cant knock conserve energy..it's a wonderful power. However , after tasting Char, and seeing first hand what it does to sappers I was sold. Id need 3 slots of hold enhancers if i wanted to perma hold mobs, or even attempt to hold a boss, didnt find that nessecary. Good enough to get the drop on sappers, or other pesky mobs to put them on hold long enough to kill them out right before it wears off. I still might put in the 3rd slot and take one from fireblast who knows at this time.

    Fireblast really was better off at the get go then Lazerbeam eyes, it did more dmg and refreshed about the same. I even just had it with dmg enhancer at first without acc because it had a pretty good hit ratio. However I'll probably just go with the standard acc and dmg. I used this for a "filler" attack with my build up routine because it was more dmging then a one slotted boxing attack, and it looked cool =P I imagine once I get 50th, i'll use fireball in my whirling hands/build up routine instead.

    Even without weave, which should save me end, because im no longer burning, end goes faster. However with Consume, and the occasional chicklet , things can still move at a good pace. I imagine in a group with a empath or rad charecter, end will be very managable.

    Anyway, here's the builds, I think it's gonna be still fun with this guy, just a bit more to get used to. Any comments suggestions are welcome.

  14. Yes, if you have the V.I.P badge, the cars will no longer run you over in the streets, and the ped's will move around you

    (this is just a rumor, had it been an actual rumor I would of started my own thread )
