This one actually scares me the most...it means that there are so many bugged missions, it would be more efficient to make a way to drop a mission than fix em (I hope not....ouch! Thatza lotta bugs!)

How about if whenever you choose to drop a misson, you are forced to give a small reason as to why. That way there will still be an explanation to the GMs as to if its due to a bug or difficulty so they can still hear about it and try to fix the problem.

I would like to ask, again, if you could use this same tech to give due credit for defeats in PvP. If you can track what damage came from where for the application of debt, then I can't see it being a huge leap to use the same tech to figure out which players contributed to a players defeat and give them a share of the reward. As it is now, certain ATs and Sets easily, but not always intentionally, kill steal while others labor hard to get an enemy into position to get defeated only to loose out at the last second.

I gotta make this quick as duty calls.

The only major issue I have is how choppy and laggy the game gets when I am on a mid to large team. Please make the game performance issues your #1 priority and put all other NON GAME BREAKING issues on the back burner until this is fixed.

Will we be able to drop... well, okay, let's be honest.

Will we be able to drop the "hunt 10 thorns in Perez" mission and the "go run talk to the Hollows guy/the PvP zone contact" missions?

Ie, is this for bugged missions only, or is a general QoL fix? I know that those missions in particular are really an enormous pain when I'm playing the early and mid-game hero side, and I'd much rather simply be rid of them.

Did I read somewhere that the trams were fixed? I tried the one in Atlas last night and its still not working like it used to. Hand doesn't come up for a bit, gotta double click to actually get in the train after choosing next stop, etc.

Otherwise, thanks again for the Top Issues update. It really helps.

Can you clarify what you mean here? I sometimes take a mission, then end up not doing it, and street sweeping for 3-4 levels instead because the story didnt interest me or I just forgot and now its green or grey. I want to be able to drop those and get whatever the next mission is, if its in my level range still, and if not, then I want the contact to give me the next contact.

Will we be able to do this? Can you give an example of what WONT work? I'm not sure what the PL angle is from a mission perspective, I'm hoping a "some ruin it for the rest" thing wont prevent me from just being able to drop any mission and get a different one or a different contact.

My PB had Light Form wear off then was killed by a Stalker. I got full debt. As you know when light form wears off you are left with almost no hit points. Apparently this is considered hps lost to a mob. Basically what it really means is that you can't use Light Form in a PvP zone unless you are next to the zone line or you rack up debt.

Actually, UnicyclePeon, there is an easy fix to the whole PL problem that we have had several threads about. Just have everyone in a team lower than the active mission level SK'd directly to it (just like a PvP zone SK). Then, adjust the XP rate accordingly. Problem solved (if the tech can handle it).

I'll agree with some of these sentiments about lag/FPS quality.

I know that I used to have my graphic settings at "High" or "very high"...but now...I'm at "medium" for most things and I've even turned off the frivolous stuff like the water effects, shadows, etc...

It's really kinda saddening...I'm not sure what happened but it stinks to lower my graphical settings down.

I know I can bump it up and usually am okay but if I team with a /thermal I have to turn down the graphics...just something with that powerset that makes my PC do lots of sound loops and just graphical lag spikes.

I agree also. This is already done with XP. If player A (not on same team as player B) does 30% dmg to a target, then he gets 30% XP. Plaer B who did the 70% dmg gets 70% of the xp.

Having this applied to how rep is distributed would greatly help.

I can't remember who said it but I thought that the current medium graphic settings is what used to be high. So you're really not downgraded on your graphic options, just the ceiling is now much highter.

Honestly, I would be fine if I was able to drop a mission because I faied it x# of times or something like that. Maybe once you reach #### worth of debt (sliding scale of course) from one mission, you are able to choose to delete or fail that mission.

In addition to that would be the ability to drop older missions, say if a mission now has nothing but greys and greens in it to you, you can drop.

It's not about convenience as much as it is about not wanting to reach 10K debt just because the Sea Witch (@ level 24) just won't drop dead at the sight of you like a good little girl.

I'm assuming that the "Drop-Mission" feature would just simply allow you to drop a mission and then get it again from the same contact (If you wish) or never again ask that contact for that blasted mission (If that's how you feel).

I don't think it is supposed to be a tool to advance past a certain mission, I think it is just for those that either have a bugged mission (And will need to retake the mission again and complete it unbugged) or to just simply drop a mission that the player has zero interest in ever doing.

Now... I am only assuming this and I could be wrong...


Oh... and I'm reluctant to add a request or question here, but I feel I must...
How about Shared Mission Completions for Hero Team Members?
I would certainly love to see that as a prime focus, although I understand that this may have already been a stated goal that is in the works (I truly hope so).
Anyway, I still am very new here, so offer me a little leeway...
Shared Missions and the fact that the Mission Music is tied to the Sound Effects Slider are two big issues for this new player...

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.

If the "drop mission" code doesn't allow me to skip these missions and ditch outleveled arcs in their entirety, it's all but useless to me.

And, note that I'm not asking to get a single point of XP for missions I drop in this manner. All I want is to (1) never do an "introductory" mission for a zone I've already street-swept two dozen times with my alts, and (2) never have to spend hours clearing out ancient arcs for every contact that I've ever done a single mission for.

(You think I'm exaggerating about that last point? Schadenfraulein on Virtue had to clear nineteen outleveled arcs before any of her current contacts would offer her one. At least six of those were from contacts for whom she had done only one mission previously.)

Any chance the missed patch note or bug that changed Mastermind Traps/Poison Gas Trap will ever be addressed?

Did you even click on any of those contacts after you cleared out the first two old arcs that you had?

You can be on a story arc without ever doing a single mission for a contact. If they ever *offer* you the story arc mission you are stuck with that arc and there's no Clue for you to know it. This may also be true if you click on them to get insps.

I've never had a problem with that many arcs though. Once I've outleveled the contact by a bit I've never gotten a new mission from them.

You know, I kinda wonder what kind of setup alot of you guys are running. I mean, the graphics in this game, especially on the COV side are pretty high-end. So if your trying to run this on an old celeron 1.0 ghz processor, and cheap integrated graphics, then you should expect lag.

I currently have a AMD Athlon 64 3500+ with 2 gigs of ram and a 7600GT graphics card and I have never had that much problems with lag. Sure, if I go into Atlas when it's really crowded, or in a Hami raid or something, I notice lag. But I am repeatedly seeing posts with people griping about lag on midsize to fullsize teams.

All I have to say, is before you blame the devs, take a look at your specs. It's more than likely because you are running on older computer.
