To the OP:
It amuses me that you are so dead-set against these "anime-inspired" costumes because to me the only reason is that YOU are not getting what YOU wanted.
You started this whole post by saying you want anime avatared posters to stop telling you that you may like it, because you know you won't. Then it quickly changed to basically saying it is unfair that we are getting these options and not the ones you want. Now you of course have the right to express your opinion on the matter, but my thoughts are that why would it be fair to give you what you wanted, and not the hordes of people who may enjoy these? Not every thing they put in the game will appeal to everyone out there, as can be seen daily on these boards. I don't use capes or auras all that often, but does that mean they should not have put them in until they put in something I wanted?

This statement you made says to me that since the beginning you wanted something else. To me it seems that you got tired of them immediately, so why would any new ones satisfy you for long? I can't wait to see thse new options, and I am buy no means a great fan of anime. But they will provide some options that are in great contrast to those we currently have in the game. I probably won't use most any of them, unless something jumps out at me, and I too would like to see other costume options. However, by no means should they not put them in because a lot of players won't like them, because I am sure just as many players will more than welcome them.
Do you have to like them? No Do you have to use them? No To you have to even just deal with it? No But don't think that just because YOU don't want them that they should abandon the concept and put in things you want. CoH is a large community and they are trying to cater to everyone. You will get what you want, it just might not be right now.

Out of a sense of irony I thought I would jerk-hack-hack-jerk this thread back onto track for no real good reason other than I seem to be falling behind on my 20 post a month pace 
It just occurred to me that being upset about upcoming and unseen issues in this game (or in any situation, really) is somewhat akin to complaining about March because you dont think you will like the weather and then demanding that there be more June. None of us here have any real idea what the weather will be like in March, or what the entirety of the next issue will be, so getting flustered about what may, or may not every really happen strikes me as a bit unnecessary.
Something to keep in mind though. Sense CoH will be expanding beyond the North American continent in the near future and CoH has a track record of wanting to make their customers happy, one would think that it would follow that CoH may very well wish to add some game elements for their upcoming customers who may have different experience in comix than most of us.

BTW, could you wait until April 28th - y'know the launch date of CoH - to continue talking about CoH being out a whole year. Every time you state that CoH has been out a whole year, it makes it difficult to consider anything you write after that, because it's not truth, it's exaggeration. Par for the course for you, but I really do try to take you seriously. You don't come off ignorant, just willfully negative in the face of anything positive. OH! Maybe you're a school teacher and you only work nine months a year. So a nine months really is a fiscal year for you. Is that it? Cuz a lot of us don't get the summer off. Your confusion of what is reality makes for entertaining but head-scratching posts.

By social and language convention, the statement "people have been doing X" implies that some significant fraction of people have been doing X. Not that one or two have been. The commonly accepted implication of the phrase is the X is somehow significant in that the number of people doing it is "large".
Taken in this context (and interpretation of language is the only context in which we can take a written phrase), the translation of the statment leads us to examine the importance of "X" - the number of people clamoring for new costume options (and the relative importance of that feature relative to others). And the posters here have made clear the opinion that this importance of costume options is a matter of hyperbole.

No, I agree with you. The female hair options in particular need work. Only a few of them look decent, and even they have some odd problems. For example on a couple of the long hair models the inside back of the hair (behind the neck for example) does not render when viewed from the front.
So yeah, I'm picky about the hair too. And I'm I guy.
