PuffyShirt was a poster here on the forums way back in the beginning. He was definitely around for the last month of beta, and I'm not sure if he stuck around for the actual release.
He was, in all sense of the word, a complete and utter troll. THE perfect example of one, actually. He was competent enough to write and express himself properly, so you couldn't just write him off as some dumb kid. He did nothing but complain (and I mean COMPLAIN... not a single thing he ever said could be construed as positive in any way), he was straight out offensive to anyone who disagreed, he would actively try to derail threads, etc etc. You get the point.
His tenure on the boards ended when someone made a post that had a title similar to "PuffyShirt should be banned from the forums." Everyone and their mother commented on this, and he spent the whole time arguing and insulting. Finally he just went away.
When someone calls you "the next PuffyShirt" it sure as hell isn't meant as a compliment. It basically labels you as a moderately intelligent troll who whines incessently and contributes nothing whatsoever to the community.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: I am not expressing a personal opinion of you. That is how most everyone feels about PuffyShirt. If Brawl called you "the next PuffyShirt" I assume, however, that is how he thinks of you (albeit I'm sure he wasn't entirely serious).

Hey, I didn't say I agreed with it, but when I first started hanging around here, many eons ago, there were quite a few posts disparaging Spacekitten. I certainly have nothing against her, gave her 4 stars for something or other back then. Shrugs. Maybe my pills are finally starting to be overpowered and the insanity is peeking through. 
Btw, the only bad word I've ever said about you, LiquidX, was when you changed from that, er, Liquid-y looking avatar. It had an X on it too, and I'm sure it was some character that I'm supposed to recognize, but I don't. If that's the jerkiest thing you ever do, well, you're okay in my book. If you'd actually done more than skimmed the post you'd have noticed Stellus appraised me of the fact that they had two teams working the two games back on like..page one, which pretty much nullified my original statement that CoV could possibly put new content updates on the back burner.
I wasn't around during the fall last year, so I wasn't aware of this and was operating on last known good information when I surmised such.
Anyways. Appreciate the response Statesman. I suppose knowing for sure that content updates won't suffer this year is as good as we can get really. So I appreciate the Statement©.

Are you refering to THIS one?
I'm not into anime, but I love the idea of anime-inspired costumes.
I figure the people in the CoH universe have fictional heroes, as well. Some are inspired by classic superheroes, some from comics, or movies, or... Japanese cartoons. Why wouldn't people make anime-inspired costumes?
It's not like their eyes are the size of softballs or anything- it's just a costume.

BTW, could you wait until April 28th - y'know the launch date of CoH - to continue talking about CoH being out a whole year. Every time you state that CoH has been out a whole year, it makes it difficult to consider anything you write after that, because it's not truth, it's exaggeration. Par for the course for you, but I really do try to take you seriously. You don't come off ignorant, just willfully negative in the face of anything positive. OH! Maybe you're a school teacher and you only work nine months a year. So a nine months really is a fiscal year for you. Is that it? Cuz a lot of us don't get the summer off. Your confusion of what is reality makes for entertaining but head-scratching posts.
Also, I realize some people have been asking about new costume options for some time, but "clamoring" for a whole year? Can we get some made up statistics at least? Y'know, for giggles. I know you haven't because you took several months off to have fun with the new fantasy MMO's out there.

Oh and to make sure you see that I don't just skim posts. I am surmising that the actual release date for Issue 4 will coincide somewhere around the actual Anniversary.
So, I am internally assuming that it will be April before we get this latest new addition, which effectively and accurately makes it 1 year of waiting for new costumes before we get any at all.
I can see the point you're trying to make, but I'm not in so much exaggerating as I'm operating on the assumption Issue 4 will not release til April.

Gotta wonder if he changed avatars and names to avoid getting a bad rep for this thread.
All in all I think complaining about I4 this early on is definitely jumping the gun a bit and I honestly cannot read the first few posts without seeing them as anything but complaining.
Chill already, you people get entirely too worked up about things. Anime inspired clothes = more cotume options = good. Hell if they said they would have a barbie themed costume issue I'd probably squeel like a little girl because I'd be sure there would be stuff I'd want and I hate barbie dolls.
Yes everyone wants trenchcoats, guess what, if they didn't give us anime inspired costumes we still would not likely get trenchcoats. Don't get all down on the good stuff till you have actually seen what it has to offer. Hell at this point they could change their minds and make this issue all about demons and devils costume options which I largely consider to be the most tasteless and idiotic looking costumes in the game (with occasional impressive exception) and I would still be a happy camper.
Go have some pie, kill Skuls and if it really makes you happy go jerk hack to your hearts content, I'm sure this issue will not cause everything to GO TO THE AMERICANS.

Other than the people that took the thread as an opportunity to make personal cracks at me, we had some fairly good discussions and even Statesman came out to say that a January 2006 speculation for Issue 5 was very pessimistic indeed.
So irregardless of people whining about whiners whining, I fufill my function as devils advocate very well.

You seem to do a lot of assuming. Your whole reason for complaining is based solely on your assumption that only anime inspired elements will be added. I can understand your reservations if the thought of anime inspired fashion only makes you think of Pokemon, Love Hina, and DBZ, but there are some really fine designs out there too. Why not just wait until the issue is released and actually seeing what it has to offer rather than just making assumptions.
