  1. Look two posts up. I wont even take up space having it quoted, even though it deserves to be said twice. Khaira, I love you. 5 stars for you!
  2. THIS GUIDE INCREASED MY POST COUNT!

    THANKYOU GO HUNT KILL SKULS!
  3. Sure I'm all for hosting binds... send me the zip to
    soliloquy@alltel.net

You'll be able to find it at cacophany.net once its posted. Hope this is of use to the community!
  4. Hah, TY! I was a little low on the total number of ratings... one day it'll be a true rating of my usefulness on these boards... which hopefully is more than just 1 star

Anyways, I use that program to preview different emblems and its got a few maps and such. Hopefully its gold to someone colorblind... But I wouldn't know. Maybe I could get the opinion of someone whos colorblind (i just spent about three minutes trying to phrase that sentence)? Just curious. Anyways, TY VERY MUCH FOR THE RATING! oh. did I say that already?
  5. HAHA Damien. Fixed that typo right about... now. As for your post Grotus, thankyou... updating the code right now. I thought about having spacebar while r is pushed down activating superjump and jump- get there even faster. In practice I found it a little impractical, taking you even longer to get there as you wait to come down. But its as according to what the masses want, what'dya think? Other than that, happy keybinding, going around the forums and putting posts in appropiate places about this, hopefully get alot more in on this fun!
  6. A Mime's Guide to Playing without a Mouse and Super Jump Keybinds
    By Sorrow the Mime (protector)

Why would you want to play without a mouse?
Better, more precise control. Twitch reflex gaming instead of moving the mousecursor all the way to an icon. Easier use of inspirations. Faster chat timing, you've already got your hands on the keyboard. There are plenty of reasons.

Downfalls: Your sacrificing M for map and all those other I bring up window keys. If your adept at keybinds you can easily bind those to shift+keys later on but I won't bother with that.

    ------------
    The Binds
First off, note, you don't have to manually configure any of these. I have a link to a zip file at the bottom of this that will when unzipped to c:/coh/ will need you only to type /bind_load_file c:/coh/main.txt and walla its configured.

Second, we're gonna replace your standard movement keys. Theyre all gonna shift 1 down, since you don't need X for down since we're using superjump not fly. If you have superjump and fly... well... I hope your good at keybinds

Explanation of what everything will do: Warning, this is complex, its much better if you just get use to doing this.

Q is simple. Its a toggle enemy, just like tab. I just don't like having to reach all the way across.

W is complex. It's what I call "Quick travel mode." Hold it down, and superjump cuts on, you start running, you start jumping. Press space with W held down and you stop jumping, like if you want to run across a rooftop. Let go of space and you start jumping again. Anytime your just running, Sprint is on. Let go of W, and it all cuts off, and Combat Jumping cuts on.

E is target enemy nearest. A simple command that has been unbinded for unknown reasons, and is good to have around.

R is "I wanna get to my target, NOW!" Follow mode is activated, sprint is cut on, let go to stop following and sprinting. One downfall of this is unfortunately, I can't get jump to work while R is held down. Something to do with /follow I believe. Maybe a bind expert will help me out.

T is reset. Sometimes, you just need to clear all bind states. It also cuts on combat jumping, and off superjump and sprint.

Shift+W is "Long Travel Mode." It's similar to just W but you don't have to hold anything down. This is useful for typing. You start running and jumping, press down spacebar to stop jumping, press it again to start jumping, press forward or back or shift+w again to exit out of this mode. Very useful for when you want to jump, and chat at the same time.

Shift+S cuts on superjump or combat jumping. Sometimes we just need that finer bit of control hand control gives us.

A+D are Turn left and right, respectively
    S+X are forward and backward.
Z+C is strafe left and right.

And thats it for movement and binds, hopefully something useful. Near the bottom of the page is the contents of the keybinds, so you can edit or check them on your own.

    ----------------------------
    To play without a keyboard.
Load the bind file, directions at bottom. Then go into options, controls, and change...

power executes slots 1=10 into h-; (on the keyboard, its a straight line) and n-/

    inspirations slots 1-5 into y-p.

    Alt_powertray slots 1-10 to shift+h-shift+; and shift+n-shift+/

    Now you've got keyboardless playing!
Simply let the first three fingers of your left hand rest on a-d, using the binds that are just above when neccesary, and the four fingers of your right hand rest on h-L, activating powers slot one- 4 with just a press of a button corresponding to the tray or reach one over with your pinkey to ; to hit power five, and shift one row down to get powers 6-10. Press shift and the corresponding button, and you get alt-tray powers! I recomend pressing the right alt button once to stickey up the alt power tray for quick reference. This keyboard setup does have a slight learning curve, but is fun, faster, and keeps you busy. It's also imho more intuitive once you get use to it.

How to download and load the movement binds (the powerexecutes and inspiration slots I'm making you do by going to options, controls, and manually entering them. It takes less than a minute. Plus, people may just want the movement binds and use the mouse, since the movement binds only take the leftmost side of the keyboard)

    click this the binds

    Save to c:/coh/binds.zip

    Extract to c:/coh/

    go in game

press enter and type "/bind_load_file c:/coh/main.txt"
