Something funny I noticed..well I think its funny
More info on digital hair!
This is a quote directly from a friend who does 3D modeling for a living. He even played this game for a short time, but doesn't plan to ever come back. Copy and pasted from an instant message for accuracy. Please remember that he does this stuff for a living.
Him> What I should have mentioned, is 3d hair is incredibly easy to make, and hard to style. It depends what form you make work with.
Me> What do you mean exactly?
Him> There's two forms of 3d hair. One which is a prop, an object that's posable and easy to work with but which is comprised of one big object which looks like a hairdo. Or you can make every strand individually and style it that way. The latter is better, it can give impressive results. Like be animated to blow in the wind. But it's hard to style.
Well! There you have it folks! Now we know a little more about what goes on behind the scenes. If anyone has any 3D modeling questions I would be happy to pass them on.
Edit: Apparently both techniques are still "not easy", but the first way is slightly easier to style.

Anime inspired can me literaly anything. From historic samurai armor to incredibly awesome special ops uniforms and whatnot. We might even get some more plain cloths for heros currently not on the job.
Even if you don't like the costumes... Body sliders alone will be worth it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I was going to ask about this anime / manga stuff. For those of us that aren't into that stuff and are completely unfamiliar with it, we have no idea what these costume options could entail. I know nothing about anime except that Sailor Moon seems to be a popular title in the genre. I'm excited that we're getting more costume choices, but beyond that what lies ahead is a mystery to me.

well its like western comics....what costumes would you get from there? the first answer it SPANDEX of course! but we all know not all heros use it there are many heros who don't
there are many diffrent things that could be in it
the first taht come to mind are animal parts, the school girl/boy outfits (a suit for boys and a shirt and short skirt for girls) and power ranger like parts(rangeing from "spandex" to high tech armor), and more gundam like parts too: they still don't have the right sholder part(that little box like bit with the handle on top)
then maybe long(realy long) hair for boys, futureistic "spy" clothes (*HINT* watch Ghost in the Shell) with bukles and leather strapes and things, and some kicka$$ scares wouldin't be to far off eather(across one eye/cheak/down the back/all over) and some more robot parts maybe some robot leg/s
and then lastly there nomal clothes from Asia, a kimono [censored],pants, the little sandal things, ect, and samuri armor(there are many types of armor) and ninja parts too(as if we need more!)
i myself am hoping for some blades that come off your elbows...couse that would rock and not a trench coat but an open jacket would be nice(to show off a shirt inside or cool scares)

People disagree with me and somehow take it personally when I debate their viewpoints with my own.

And almost everyone that responds in support of the idea has an avatar from an anime series.
"Oh just have some faith, you might like it." "Oh you just haven't seen good anime."
Blah blah blah. I mean really, I've been hearing this style of argument since I was like....4 and I didn't like asparagus and my grandmother assured me that I'd like it if I just tried it.
So I guess what I'm saying here is its great that some people are getting what they want. But the whole "Just try it, you'll like it" argument isn't very fair. Its 25 years later and I still don't like asparagus yanno.
Its not very considerate to tell people that they're "lucky to be getting anything at all." when your greatest wish has been granted.
Its sort of like gloating. Really.

Then your response to someone with an anime avatar:
[ QUOTE ]
You don't care that someone else might be dissapointed because you are not. I on the other hand, are more considerate of people around me, so I do care that some people might be dissapointed.
[/ QUOTE ]
Do you realize that you start out by accusing those who disagree with you of being selfish, self-centered and callous?
Starting at the point that you do, do you see why some people may have taken your post personally?

Could we possibly stop making the post about ME?
Thank you. There is a topic to the post. Either let it die or discuss the topic.
I don't use the CoH forums, or any other forum for that matter, for all the qualified psychiatrists and psychologists that participate in them. Don't analyze me...analyze the topic of the post. Thats all you have to do.

But that's what the original post was about. YOUR feelings on the subject, what YOU think about it. Even the topic points out that YOU think something is funny. And demonstrating a complete disregard for what other people think about it.

No, its about the topic.
I'm not going to get roped into arguments and long processes of attempting to defend myself against people that don't care what I have to say about my intentions, they just want to see me react.
The subject is the Issue 4 anime debate. Run with it, or let the post die....I really don't care one way or another.
I can't wait for the mission.
The Skulls are everywhere, HeroName.
Ask About Available Missions
Kill Skuls!
--OR--
A Skull called Marrowsnap has etc etc etc.
And when you accept the mission, the top of the screen will say:
Kill Skuls
Defeat 10 Skulls
And then it will only be a matter of time before we have to stop the freakshow from jerk hacking the war walls.
