  1. The incarnate powers help, sure, but they still don't overshadow your primary/secondary powers. It's not like anyone says that a level 25 getting sked to a level 38 team is useless because they won't have any powers over tier 7 in any of their sets.

    Besides, as I laid it out, more than half the league would actually have decent incarnate powers anyway.

  3. So apparently Later incarnate trials are failing because people are not bringing enough level shifted characters. If people aren't high enough, why not bump them up closer to the proper level during the content, like with sidekicking?

    My method would be this: If more than half the league are at +2 or +3, everyone under +2 gets +1 level.
  4. While I'm here, I should point out that I'm no longer seeing the behavior described in the OP. The DoT now seems to stop after the first failure to tick, just like every other DoT in the game.

    It's Shatter Armor plus Surveillance plus Venom Grenade, natch. Shatter Armor does -20% resist.
  7. My Bane does insane damage in melee, thanks to all his debuffs. Easily my strongest melee character, and I do have several Scrappers and Brutes at 50 as well.

    Also, I don't personally use this strategy, but you can make a half-decent pure ranged character with a Bane. I know people look at the damage numbers on the blasts and think they all suck except Poisonous Ray, but that's because they recharge so darn fast.

    Actually, I think as a VIP you're the only type of player who can get every powerset for free.

    See, you might think that because of the low damage and longish activations, but they also have very short recharges, especially the AoEs. If you build for it, you can really spam those suckers.
  12. My Mind dom doesn't even get a pet from his primary, so I only have an even lamer patron pet. Even it doesn't seem useless, so I don't know what your problems are.
  13. There's really only one issue I have with Tankers: a Shield Defense SCRAPPER can out-aggro a Tanker with Against All Odds, because it comes with a debuff on top of the taunt aura, and enemies hate debuffs almost as much as they hate being taunted.

    I also wish that Unyielding in Invul gave as much S/L resist as it does every other resist, but that's an Invul issue, not a Tanker exclusive issue.
  14. I'd make ET like Thunder Strike. Have it do its energy damage component in an AoE around the target. I'd also make Whirling Hands stronger.

  16. Hm, and you're sure that you didn't still have NoPhase on from a previous phasing, and he used Incandescence AFTER your phase kicked in?

  19. How exactly does the game determine if you're allowed to use the side entrance to the bunkers around the third reactor? As I understand it, you need a lot of stealth, but that's kind of vague. I can't use them on my VEAT with Cloaking Device, and I tried using them with Group Invisibility, Super Speed, and a Celerity proc on my Tanker, and still couldn't get in. Does it just check for certain stealth-granting powers, or something?

  22. I think something needs to be done about Infection, the Avatar's PBAoE -Defense/-Resistance power. I believe it does -33% to both defense and resistance, and can stack up to three times. It basically allows the Avatar to one-shot absolutely anybody, and makes melee virtually worthless. I'm convinced that trial success/failure at the last fight hinges largely on whether you have an Illusion controller to tank the Avatar with Phantoms who can't be killed, or if you have to make do with a player.

    Anyway, if they don't just get rid of it, they need to make it much, much more obvious than it is. Right now all you can do is watch your list of icons for it (it uses the Soul Drain icon, which is also a problem). It should put some red text under your status bar like Held or Confused does, and say how many stacks you have on you. (Protip: Run away at 1 stack.)
