Ice Sword Circle: Decreased this powerÂ’s damage scale from 1.55 to 1.19, increased its recharge from 20 seconds to 22 seconds, increased its endurance cost from 18.5 to 20.2 and increased its radius from 10 feet to 15 feet.

[/ QUOTE ]This is the only one that will actually affect me at the moment, since my other doms have been gathering dust for quite a while.

Not exactly thrilled to see it cost even more end...but the radius increase definitely makes me happy.

Whether you put 2 or 10 or 20 billion into one auction house slot, you can only get 2 billion out.
Oh, I know. The inf isn't actually *usable* after you put it in there. But the point of having that much inf isn't spending it.

I know of at least two people who have double-digit billions on multiple toons (I'm not one, unfortunately).
Even higher than that. If you make two duplicate 2 billion bids for an item, they'll stack. Do this 10 times, to have a stack of ten 2 billion inf bids. Do this for 20 of your auction slots, then fill the last one with a 2 billion inf bid. Then, add in the 2 billion you have on hand, and you get the grand total of 404 billion.

And when someone reaches the 66 month badge, this will go up to 424 billion.
  4. It's not a matter of having the models for them...it's a matter of having them look good. If you pay attention to the temp jetpacks, they only look good if your toon is regular sized. Create a new toon, and set all sliders to minimum, to make the smallest toon possible. Then, use a jetpack. You'll notice that it's not connected to the toon, but rather hovers off their back. Now, do the same with a Huge toon, and you'll notice the jetpack is embedded in their back.

The reason NPCs can have it is because they're all one size. With all the different sizes we can be, the reason we don't have them right now is because there's no attach point back there to put them on. It's a limitation that's being worked on...but Jay's only one person. Now that he has an assistant, it may come soon, hopefully...but there's no way of telling.
  5. Ally-only.

Just as a general note, anything that's a targeted buff is ally-only, since you can't target yourself.

I don't think I have a single toon that slots like that. The entire point of ED was to *avoid* cookie cutter slotting, and it did a very good job at it.

Build your scrapper for damage, or build him for /regen +recharge, again lots of variety.

Yeah, I agree! You can only run any TF in the game, or go to Ouro and go back to any arc you missed (or one you didn't miss, but really liked), or take part in Mothership raids, or take part in Hami raids, or take part in Rikti/Zombie invasions, or fight GMs, or write AE arcs, or run AE challenge arcs, or something else that I'm sure I've forgotten...

    There's NOTHING to do!
  8. "Never" is not something the devs throw around casually. Even Power Customization was a "we might do it, but not now, because it'll take a *lot* of work". I can think of very few things that have been a "never"...and not one of them has been implemented.

My memory could be off, though.

You guys are talking about making 150 million in 150 hours as if it's nothing
Yes, it *is* nothing. If you're doing nothing but running missions at level 50, you should be far exceeding this just by vendoring everything you get as drops, unless you're on a toon that's bad/slow at soloing, like an Ice/FF Controller. If you actually sell your drops at Wentworth's, you can exceed this rate by a huge margin.

Even the most hardcore player in the WORLD (who most likely doesn't play this game...haha) would not be able to set out all those toons based on your "average influence earned" in the lifetime of this game.
The average* player doesn't even attempt to "purple out" *one* build. I doubt there's more than a handful people out there that would even think about doing the same to both builds. The vast, vast majority of people that even use dual builds only use it on some of their toons...and if they use it at all, they use a much cheaper build on their lesser-used build.

Even good level 50 builds can be done for quite cheap. I recently did a soft-cap build for my boyfriend's Claws/SR that ended up costing me less than 100 million. (I wasn't paying attention to the exact amount). And for the return that gives, that's a great price. I have a couple really expensive builds, but most of them are pretty cheap. And there are a lot of people in this game that just use SOs, or basic IOs.

So, considering that the 2 billion inf uber-purple build is *anything* but required, and if you *do* want it, it can easily be gotten without farming...no, the game does not encourage farming. Except to the lazy.

    * and no, I'm not talking about the mythical "casual" player. I'm just saying that most people don't bother with purples on most of their toons...at least as far as I can tell.

If you're talking about Issue 15, though, I guess I didn't hear about any of those problems.
  11. Well, it is possible, but it'll cost you $10.

However, if you go to a Tailor (located in Cap Au Diable, SouthWest corner), you can save her costume, and use that to recreate her on Virtue.

There are plenty of people on Virtue willing to team, especially if you join the global channels VU2009 or Virtue LFG Alpha, so you can get back to level 11 in no time.

And if you need help getting set up, or need someone to team with, you can shoot me a tell at @firebuhnee .
  12. Well, you did happen to select one of the smaller servers, which is part of the problem. Guardian does have a playerbase, but depending on what time you play, the population can be very low, and it takes more work to find people to play with.

If you're looking for an RP group, and a large server, Virtue may be your best bet. It's the "Unofficial RP Server". Not everyone RPs, but you'll find the highest percentage of people that do. And it's also reasonably active at most times of the day, even really early in the morning, US time.

But to also answer your question, the reason you might not see a lot of people is that this is an instanced game, meaning most of the time, people are in missions. You may want to make use of the /search function to find people and/or teams.

Funny, I just logged on and was able to form a team in about 5 minutes, on Justice. I was on a team on Pinnacle early this morning. It's really not that difficult, if you put a little effort into it.

Seriously though lol, I hope in 6-12 months AE has lost it's shine and the heroes and villains are back on the streets where they belong, Instead of all huddled under one sweaty roof racing to 50 spamming "AE Boss Farm LFM" over and over and over again . . .
This is an instanced game. Even before AE, heroes were not "on the street". 95% of the game is spent in instanced missions. Just because you don't see people running around doesn't mean they're all in AE...they're just doing missions indoors, like they have been for 5 years.

I would, as long as the person knows what they're doing. All three of those can be *immensely* powerful in the right hands.

And what's more, I would do it without even a first "healer".

Blasters are the Wizards of other MMO's and in other MMO's I dont see too many getting into melee as a desired effect. All be it, at low levels it sometimes comes in handy and perhaps getting 1 melee attack might be good for IO sets or whatever but 4-5 attacks? They are very useful if ya intend to get all your debt badges by lvl 30.
Even Wizards have Touch Attacks. The melee attacks aren't for everyone, no...but Blapping is a legitimate style of play, and an incredibly fun one, to boot. Sure, you might die a bit more often...but hey, you go down in a blaze of glory.

On topic...as much as I love my Mercs/Poison MM, I would like to see both Serum and Poison Gas Trap looked at. But that's only a couple powers. There's really no entire powerset that I think needs revamped. A couple powers here and there...but that's it.
  15. They changed the colors recently specifically to help with colorblindness. If you are still unable to tell the difference between the colors, you may want to let the devs know.
  16. Hit enter to open the chat box, then press up. This will go back to the last line you typed. It stores something around 10 lines, so you can keep going up, if you want to repeat something you said 5 lines ago, or something.
  17. It also very much comes in handy to keep Pre-Leveling Pact duos in sync.

    Noob Help

You can also find Lost in Perez Park. I find that to be the easiest place, myself...though it depends on your level, as they can come in large groups.

    And welcome to the game!

    Help :)

When you log in, the server with the highest population will be at the bottom, and it gets less and less populous from there. The exception to this is the server at top. It will always be the last server you played on. This will give you a good indication of what servers have the most people at the time you play, since if you play at odd hours (US Time), such as being in a different country, a different server might be better for you.

For example, I *think* Justice has a good number of Australians that play late-night US time, if you're on night shift, or in Australia (or thereabouts).
  20. In the NCSoft Account Management section, go to Billing Summary. At the top, to the right, should be a box with "Add Card" (at least I'm guessing it says that, if you don't have a card on record. My screen says "Change Card") That should do what you're looking for.
  21. a) These probably rate as *very* low-priority bugs. Adding to that, the first one is completely non-reproducible. I haven't seen that happen in years. The second one only happens with a couple of missions. Something that doesn't happen every single time is very tough to nail down as to the cause. See the Chat Bug, and how long it took. And that was a more serious/annoying problem.

    b) BaBs has said via twitter that they've fixed quite a number of old (Legacy is the word he used) bugs this issue...so these might be among them.

    c) If you're complaining about lack of QoL...where have you been? This game is about the best I've ever seen or heard of about giving players what they want, QoL-wise. The number of QoL add-ons in I15 was amazing...and I16 will be no different.

    Updater slow!!!

Hey...I answered the question! I just answered the snark first.

Edit: If the OP is even bothering to check back with this, which I doubt, I've been told by a friend that the problem might be with Stream. They're well-known for problems like this.
  25. *shrug* It wasn't working for a moment there, but now it's working just as fast as it always has. Which is, at least in my experiences, *much* faster than the old forums.
