As someone who lives less than an hour's drive from where that was taken, I can say with reasonable certainty that that is a salmon, not a trout.
-
I spy someone that thinks one trial is way easier than the other, and wants to be able to earn all four slots from that one trial.
-
I still like the free floating AE building in the void outside Pocket D idea. Especially if they could make the visible building be at an odd angle or even upside down but have everyone be upright as normal inside it. Which would either be amazingly difficult or require cutting corners, I believe. But it'd still be cool.

Quote:As I understand it, when entering a trial it actually disbands your league entirely and puts you and anyone it might have pulled from the queue onto a new one. When exiting a trial it doesn't do this, which is probably why this issue happens only on entering. It tries to put you back in the same teams you were in before you launched the trial, but something gets messed up along the way somewhere and it ends up putting you in the wrong order resulting in some people being kicked. Or something.
It's worth noting that I have never seen it do any of this when _leaving_ a trial, only upon entering.
I'd say it's likely a bug in whatever merges the league the queue forms behind the scenes with your pre-formed one, but people report the same thing happening on closed leagues. So that's only part of the problem, at best. -
In my experience you can't recreate the exact colour, but you can get really close. If your primary is elec control then set that to original colours since it's the same, then play around with colours on the secondary until they mostly match up. If it's not, then go into creating a new character as far as colouring powers and do it there, and note down which colours you ended up with.

Personally, I take everything as it comes. If the team I'm on is RPing then I do too, and so on.

The man has a point. Most of the reason I still even play this game is because of the people I play it with. If not for them, I wouldn't still be here. Overly restricting free players' ability to communicate and form the social networks that arguably keep people playing longer is only going to give them one more reason to leave once the next big thing comes out.
Personally, I think we should at least let them have friends lists. The comparison on the Freedom overview page doesn't say anything about the friends list so they might already be doing so. I would suggest also allowing them to send tells to people on their friends list only. However, add the same confirmation on the other end that we currently have for global friends to the server friends list as well, so the RMTers can't just add the whole server to their friends list and commence spamming. -
Personally I liked the one I saw in another thread. Fleet Judgement - Throws an aircraft carrier at the enemy.

I would point out that the likes a challenge badge, as it currently stands, also requires that you destroy no terminals in the final fight. Thus letting him regen to full health several times over the course of the fight, which makes it harder when you take the ten minute time limit into account. Hell, it's probably WHY that time limit is so short compared to everything else in the trial.

Yes, this has been suggested. People have been asking for a solo path (One that doesn't take years, anyway) to get the rewards from the trials since the trials came out. Usually there's three or four new threads made on the topic per day, today must be a slow day.
More on topic, I'd point out that by the standards of the astral merit vendor, one astral merit = one reward merit. And as we know, 50 reward merits (plus 20 million inf) = 1 alignment merit. So, one alignment merit = 50 astral merits?
Yeah, I know they'd never do that. -
Personally I'm hoping the outright removal of Galaxy from the main game as an accessible zone is just 'we're going to do something with it, just don't have the time right now and making promises way in advance isn't our style' rather than 'it's gone, never to return'. Even though the only reason I ever go there is cause a smaller zone means less travel time when doing tips.

Quote:Actually they're not. MMs give the same resist buff (15%) with thermal shields as controllers and corruptors do. Or so says Mids, I haven't checked ingame. Which is odd, really. They have lower debuff numbers, but their buffs are the same.
And with MM's support value being the lowest, I wonder how /sonic performs.
See also: Forcefield, Dark, Pain and Storm. All sets with at least one buff power, all giving exactly even numbers of buff as controllers or corruptors with the same set. (Resistance and defense buffs, that is. Damage and tohit seem to be lower for MMs, and I didn't look at regen buffs.) -
More costume pieces are always a good idea, regardless of what they are. I'd even use some of these.

Quote:To be fair, the version of that one in the actual invulnerability powerset DOES have a no FX option. If/when we eventually get customisation for epic pools, you'll most likely get the same option there.
The fact my Plant/Emp/Primal has to be Rainbow Brite if she wants her resistance shield is really annoying. -
Personally I could see 'spiritual', rather than 'holy'. Really they're the same thing to some extent but the former doesn't imply religion and all the potential offense people could take at it should it not happen to fit their own.
Really, spiritual or holy anything is more of a power source, rather than a power itself. The question is, is that magic or natural origin?By the ingame descriptions I'd say probably magic.

I could be wrong but I believe there actually used to be popups on enhancements in stores. At least I remember them being there at some point. It got broken at some point and was never fixed.
-
I believe that was asked in the ustream where they were originally talking about it, and if I remember rightly the response was that they were upgrading the mission maps of Atlas, but didn't have time to also upgrade Recluse's Victory.

Quote:Actually, yes. There should be. The game should not outright tell me sorry, you're never going to get this no matter what. Now, that's not to say some things shouldn't be difficult (Master badges) or time consuming (PvP/purple IOs, tier 4 incaranate powers) to get. That's fine, I can deal with having to work for my shinies. But having things that I literally cannot get regardless of anything I do would suck. There should never be a guarantee, implied or not, that every reward should be obtainable by every player.
That said, the antimatter pulse in Keyes isn't a barrier to reward. It just isn't. The net effect of it is the trial takes longer because people have to run back from the hospital. It adds no actual difficulty, especially with the half hour time limit on those sections which may as well not even be there for all the lack of tension it creates. All it does is make the trial longer and more annoying.
Personally, I would like to see the pulse removed and replaced with a different mechanic which both actually has a chance of making the trial fail if you mess it up too badly, and can be overcome with teamwork. Note: Not with having higher numbers. With teamwork. As in, working together. I know that's an alien concept to some people. -
Quote:To be fair, they revamped that at one point specifically with the intention of making it not take hours to do. Alongside other goals.
Remember how long Hami Raids used to be?
Quote:Was it Fun? Hell yes. Things like Auto-hit pulses and un-typed damages are a cheap 'quick-fix' used in lieu of actual teamwork mechanics.
Random joke idea:
Make using a power cell on a terminal make you immune to the antimatter pulse for x seconds. Bet people would figure out how to check their temporary powers then, rather than making us wait around and/or go get more cells that we shouldn't have needed. -
Personally, I'd rather they just made the pulse damage not autohit and unresistable. Too many things are getting that lately. Sure, give it a massive accuracy bonus and maybe increase the damage to compensate, but I'm sick of things just arbitrarily murdering me no matter how much defense or resistance I have.
That and it'd make buffs a little more useful in the Keyes trial, right now you basically have to stack the league with people who can heal rather than people with buffs, which kind of flies in the face of everything before it in which you could bring just about any team makeup and be fine. And I liked that. I liked not having to tell people I can't invite them because the league has too many tankers already and I need something else. I liked being able to tell people to bring whatever character they feel like playing, rather than what the league needs. It was one of the best things about this game to me. -
As it works currently, if you do all the costume missions including the one in the VEAT arcs, and turn in halloween salvage, you end up with 6 costume slots. The sixth doesn't show on the UI since it's not designed to handle more than 5, and can't be edited for that reason. It will forever be a copy of whatever was in your second (Not first, second. The first non-uniform slot) at the time. You CAN use it though, by typing '/cc 5'.
Personally, I tend to make a costume I intend to never change and put it in that second slot before turning in the mission, then switch it back after turning it in. -
I could be wrong but I believe it roots if you're not moving when you hit the button, but doesn't root if you are moving. One or the other is presumably a bug.
-
I have I think two characters that I'd reroll into this in a heartbeat if it was made.

Dual blades has a few smaller dapper/knife type weapons, I believe.
