Renewed Focus on Costumes -- YOU'RE DOING IT RIGHT!

Of all the developments I hoped to see with 'Freeem^H^H^H^H^H^H^H 'Freedom', this is the one I that was really pinning my hopes on. This is the one that's keeping me playing.

Thank you for renewing your focus on costumes, Paragon, and making them more widely available. This is the most important thing you can do to keep people playing the game.

Good job. Keep it up.

Don't neglect the pony.

The Celestial Armor set looks AMAZING. I'm pretty sure I'll be tier 9 VIP by the time Freedom launches, so BOOYAH!

This is good news all around, yes. To be honest, I was starting to run out of costumes I could make. I haven't made a new character in quite a while, since at this point I've already used pretty much all the costume bits I like many times over. With all the new stuff coming with Freedom, I find myself once again overwhelmed in a way not too dissimilar from back in 2004 when CoH launched, and again in 2005 when CoV launched. So many new costume bits, so many new opportunities... And I don't even know what to do with them all!

This will be great!

If I'm somehow not in the right tier for the armour by the time of launch, I'm damn well buying in until I am. I NEED those pieces

Yeah, I can see myself doing the same as well. Probably why they did it, when you stop to think about it.

Whelp, given CityOf is one of my only vices, and paying for it means they have more money to develop stuff with...I see no down side

Pretty much this.

If you consider how much a man who smokes tobacco spends on the evil weed, we're not paying terribly a lot for a vice that's far less unhealthy.

As long as I don't need to be 50 to wear it, I'll be happy.

Hmmm...but the massive taxes on tobacco go to fund health care programs...so by smoking, you are actually healing people...so Paragon is going to have to donate quite a bit of their phat evil profits to charity in order to be as philanthropic as smokers...

If by "widely accessible" you mean that this 3 year subscriber won't have them for over another year... Okay.

Hehe, yeah, they look wonderful. Which is, indeed, why I am bummed about my conversion into the new Rewards program meaning I'll be a year away.

Blah blah blah... whinge... moan... grumble... It's okay, there are worse things for me to focus on!!

I dunno, their prices seem reasonable.

Here's a semi-attempt at giving you a silver-lining:

If the set was added to the current Vet Rewards programme - you'd be about 5 years away.

Takes some of the sting out... I hope!

Haha, nah... I appreciate the attempt, but I really do not believe they'd add a costume set (never mind three plus weapons plus new energy wings) in as a post 7 year vet reward.
It probably would have been a booster or something.

Blah blah blah, no more whinging from me about it, but I figured I'd at least respond!

Honestly, a little part of me wishes that they'd bump more vets into or close to the Tier 9 status with the conversion.
I just don't see them doing that, because then the longer vets would have less to show for their time.
Ah well.

Positive Disclaimer:
I do love how the vet rewards will reach a point (Tier 9, and I think that takes about three years under the new system) where any and every new reward can be chosen, so nothing will exactly be beyond reach from that point on.

(Also, sorry for the slight hijack! But bugger to you and your falsely claimed "widely available" costume pieces, I say!!) :P
