Rooting with Heal Aura and Fly

With my Emp defender, keep getting rooted when using heal aura and fly, not every time, but consistently happens, maybe half the time. This is really annoying on the Keyes trial, since I have trouble staying with the group I'm supposed to be healing.

Anybody got any ideas?

Same things happens when using Hover or just running on the ground. I can't make heads or tails of what's going on, but it's given me problems more than once on trials.

I suspect it might have been one of the updates where it's switching rooting on and off at random, as it USED to root when fired, but was changed not to.

Does it happen after using a power not from Empathy set, like an attack or pool power or Epic/ PPP power? I am thinking that if you are in pure Emp buff.heal mode then there is no reason but if you are mixing powers, then the game might have conflicting code that might make you be rooted.

Bug it.

I could be wrong but I believe it roots if you're not moving when you hit the button, but doesn't root if you are moving. One or the other is presumably a bug.

I've "bugged" it several times. In fact, I first started having this problem when issue 17 was on beta, bugged it then, bugged it when issue 17 was on test, and have bugged it on every issue since. The response is always the same post it on the forums. Here I am, since before the Keyes trial it was only annoying. Not sure if it is rooting when using hover, since I almost never use hover, my fly speed it hover is to slow. It will root when moving, stops me, heal aura goes off, resumes movement. It does not make any difference if I use some other power between uses of heal aura. Outside of mission, I've used heal aura 10 times in a row, it will root at least half of the time.

Not sure, either issue 7 or 8 there was a game patch for this, radiant aura from rad, warmth from thermal. Originally, warmth was supposed to root.

It roots whether you are using other powers or not. It roots whether you are currently moving when you fire the power or not. It just seems to be at random, maybe 30% of the time. I've bugged it an issue or two ago, but my guess is that we're just not making enough noise about it.

Funny enough, my Psychic Blast powers don't root me if I'm moving at the time that I fire them. No, I have not and will not be sending a bug report about those. ;D
