I'm happy that you are going to spend time with your family and then pursure new options open to you as they come.
I think with your qualifications you will have little trouble landing into a new position.
I do admit though, with you no longer officially posting, the boards are now one irrevacable step closer to shutting down.

Totally agree with the idea of taking a break to spend time with family before job-hunting in earnest. After the system-shock you had a couple of weeks ago, the time is well-deserved. Thanks for sticking with this motley crew as long as you did to help ease our fears as best you could.
