In a long string of farewells...

My time has finally come.

This will be my final official communication as a member of Paragon Studios and a representative of NCsoft. I've made the decision to spend some time focusing on family and the job hunt, mostly family . While I love what I do, it often times results in long hours (especially in the weeks leading up to the announcement) and I feel like it's important that I spend some additional time with the wife and kiddos before I jump into my next great adventure.

I've got all of the squishy, touchy, feely stuff out of the way on the other thread, but I just want to reiterate how much being a part of this Community has meant to me. You guys and gals are amazing, inside and out. Much like the team here at Paragon, I have, and hope to someday again, walk through fire with all of you.

This isn't goodbye. I'm staying in gaming. I love building amazing online Communities around games and don't see myself doing anything aside from this. The social experience is why I play online games, and this is where my passion lies.

Good luck with the employment thing, enjoy your family time, and thank you for your time and effort as head community bod.

I think you did sterling work, dealing with the motley assortment of lunatics this community is composed of, and somehow managed to retain some sense of humour through it.

The streams (twitch/ustream) gave the playerbase that watched them more insight into the workings of the studio, and were usually pretty damn entertaining to watch, too.

So all in all, thank you and good luck.

A great man (even if he is fictional) to me left my sphere of seeing them regularly just as you are, and a simple phrase summed up where he was going and how I felt about him.

I know wherever you go, you'll bring great positivity and your usual quirky approach (and hats, let's not forget the hats) to entertaining and informing another player community, and perhaps one day it'll be another City of Heroes forum in another form.

Zwil, I said it before, but I'm going to take the chance to say it again - thank you. Seriously, earnestly, and not just because of all that's happened, I really do think you have been amazing as the community guy for City of Heroes. And given what has happened, I have a hard time imagining anyone helping us through it better than you have.

Given your stated love of what you do, it's perhaps not surprising you're good at it, but wherever you go next, I think they would be fools not to hire you. I hope you save these forum messages from players like me to show future prospective employers what this community thought of your work. I pray you find another shop that can give you anything like the camaraderie it sounds like you had at Paragon Studios.

And if this community does carry on in any cohesive form, please stop by. And if you get a chance to say "hi" before the curtain call, I for one would be well pleased.
