So is your question actually "What plans were Crey using that unknown pollutant for, and why?" Because what you asked was "What caused all the pollution in Crey's Folly?" which are two totally different questions.

The Back Alley Brawler Task Force and Lord Recluse Strike Force are some of the toughest tasks in the game.

Tell us about how that made it into the tip loading Screen and the process that ended up with Ms Liberty giving us the TF instead of BAB? What options did you consider and what was the deciding factor?

Positron has said for the most part that anything beyond I24's established canon is mostly speculative. Basically, lots of stuff was not 'set in stone' until they actually started to work on it. So even if somehow the game does make a return the answers for stuff that could have happened in the future aren't necessarily canon, just what the devs -right now- think they would have done.

Oh I can answer that one. In the I23 beta people pretty much universally agreed that it was more appropriate that Ms. Lib take over the task force instead of Brawler and it happened the devs agreed. Nothing really more than that. They just never got around to changing that tip.

I haven't had time to read through the entire thread ('Stuck on jury duty the last two days. Yuck. XP), so these may have already come up... But-

I really want to know what the Battalion would have looked like.

... And Grey Kestrel wants to know what you were plannning to do with her boss, Scirocco. She's a little... concerned... about him.

Were Penny Preston and her brother Jimmy Preston ever going to have a epic story arc or appear later ingame?

Jimmy's power "a mutant gene that may well activate as he grows older." Hasn't matured but Penny's had. If his power was similar or complimented hers it would seem these two could be pushing Incarnate levels.
Just saying...

I do have a couple of questions-

Who or what was DJ Zero? Was he an Incarnate? What about his friends that symbolized the seasons (ie Baby New Year). Wouldn't mind hearing about how he came to be...

And while I haven't finished either signature arc (and I need to hurry and do that!)- I have to ask...was Penelope going to be the next Sister Psyche?

Freakshows- There were a few that had reformed, but kept their 'upgrades'. Were they still on the drug or were there other ways they could stop the pain from the 'upgrades'?

Were there any plans to give signature characters new costumes (or costume pieces)?

No, my question was, "What is polluting Crey's Folly?" which probably would've revealed those things. I phrased it poorly, and I apologize.

Did the Rikti create the Lost in attempt to turn Primal humans into Rikti? If so what happened that the lost never changed over? There was a Primal soldier in a Story Arc in the War Zone ones that had become a Rikti completely. Or did the Lost do it to themselves?
The Lost are humans who are in the process being turned into Rikti to be used as soldiers by the Restructurist faction of the Rikti. That's why we can never seem to completely defeat the Rikti on Primal Earth, in spite of them being cut off from their homeworld.

I apologize if any of these questions have already been asked.

1) What were your plans with the future of Praetoria? Were the heroes/villains going to take the fight to Hamidon and did you ever plan to have a Praetoria that was free of both Tyrant AND Hamidon? Or were you planning on continuing to integrate Praetorian groups into Primal Earth like you started to do with the two arcs that were to come out in i24?

2) Did you have any plans for continuing the Resistance/Loyalist storylines?

3) What were your plans for future SSA's? What concepts did you want to explore?

4) Were you planning on making any more Incarnate zones?

5) The clone that potentially survived in the Villain clone arc - any chances that they'd ever turn up again? And speaking of that, did you have any plans to continue to use the Doppleganger tech in the future, perhaps in another task force or trial?

6) What were your future plans for Katie from Praetoria? She DID survive, right? (You can lie to me if the answer is no.)

7) As far as the Praetorian Penny Yin goes, she went kinda nuts in the arcs in i24 - was this going to be something that would last awhile/what were you plans with that?

8) Was Tyrant ever going to show up again, powered or otherwise? I know he was on trial, but...were we ever going to see any bits of the trial and/or deal with the fallout from it? Were any villain groups going to try and interfere - or, for that matter, any hero ones?

9) Any future plans for the Shining Stars?

10) Were we ever going to get a chance to slap around Prometheus in Ouroboros? Pretty please?

11) Were there any plans to eventually make a Praetorian zone that would cover levels 40-50? When you were originally designing Going Rogue, was it intended to be 1-20 only, or was it originally designed to be higher level content and later reworked - and if it wasn't, why didn't you plan on making it last until level 50 instead of 20?

12) Was War Witch's revival going to be touched upon in any upcoming arcs or task forces?

13) Speaking of task forces - were there any plans for creating new ones, and if so, what would they have been? Or what would you have LIKED to have created? And as far as revamping the older ones go, which ones would have been next?

14) Were there any plans for expanding on the Council/5th Column war?

15) Is Sister Psyche truly dead DEAD or was there any loophole with her powers for her coming back in some way or form?

16) Were there any plans for Ms. Liberty to one day step up and become a member of the Phalanx in honor of her fallen grandfather? Expanding on this, were there any future plans in place for future roster changes and member shakeups?

17) How about Back Alley Brawler? Was his character going to get featured more? Any arcs planned for him? Or a taskforce? What would his reaction be to Marauder suddenly running around with the heroes?

18) Did you plan on expanding on the New Praetorians supergroup in future issues? Likewise for the villain-equivalent?

Hess was an Arachnos spy within the Council. Arachnos stole the plans for the giant robot that (***SPOLIER***) is under the volcano in Striga. (***END SPOILER***)

You can see the plans were used to make an army of giant robots and Recluse used them to assault a future Atlas Park in Recluse's Victory. There are many of them just on the other side of the "energy fields" that mark the zone.

I only got a short question actualy, but with a big story around it :P
In all my years, i remember 1 specific mission, believe it was in PI and the map was full of ghosts. You had to find a note, that note was basicly the most memorable text i've seen in CoH.

The text:

My simple question, was this mission just 'randomly' made or had it a bigger story?
(i know its just a simple mission, but i never will forget the first time reading it).

A number of these may or may not already be on the list, but I have to post them to feel confident that I might get an answer:

  1. The Dark Watcher: What happened to him when he disappeared? Was he trapped, lost? What dimension was he trapped in? What kind of horrible things happened to him that made him so hostile to Statesman when they first saw each other again? (Comics) Also, what exactly are his powers? The main one appears to be teleportation but the Web of Arachnos novel implied possibly Illusion, is that true?
  2. Hero 1: He was always one of my favorite characters, and his return as Honoree was incredibly exciting to me. Was there a plan in the works, as was hinted at in the game, to bring him back to a de-Riktified (or less Riktified) state? If so, had it been considered how that was going to be done and/or what role Hero 1 would then play? Was he going to be our new Statesman?
  3. Dream Doctor/Ouroboros: Does Dream Doctor know that Silos is Nemesis? Who/what was/is Jocas? What atrocity did Silos/Nemesis commit in the future that changed him into a seemingly benign being? What is Ramiel's significance, and what loyalties or disloyalties does he hold (he seemed to be on almost even footing with Silos)?
  4. The Rikti: How did they beat the Battalion? With Rikti incarnates? Were there plans to bring the Rikti Traditionalists in as allies for Primal Earth in our own fight against the Battalion?
  5. The Battalion: What's with that anyway? One entity, an alien race, robots? Any idea of what they would look like or how they would be more menacing to players than standard enemies (i.e. an even higher Battalion softcap or unresistable damage ala Hami)?
  6. The Shivans: What was going on with them? I thought they were kind of a hive mind up until they started talking recently, so I guess they are individuals? Great Mother/Dark Father? Some connection to the Battalion?
  7. The Well: Who was it? It was strongly indicated by Prometheus that the Well of the Furies was an actual being (if not person). Was it someone we met, or a mythical figure we've heard of?
  8. Rularuu: What were the plans for Rularuu/the Shadow Shard? It was previously stated that Rularuu had consumed a multitude of dimsensions, but more recently was hinted that Dream Doctor and Rularuu were closely tied. Did they share some sort of common origins?

Do we think the Rikti even have Incarnates?

They didn't seem to get along with the idea of gods. I almost wonder if they would have turned their nose up on any but the most indirect connections with something like The Well.

I don't recall, but I believe it's been said a couple of times at this point. I'm fair certain that Dream Doctor says it, and possibly Prometheus and/or Ramiel.

He's supposedly a future Nemesis or alternate Nemesis, though, from the one pulling the strings in modern times.

Myself, I think he is the one and only.

U'kon G'rai, H'roh D'tohz or w/e, rikti had plenty of incarnates, even the Honoree. Wells don't necessarily have to be worshipped as a god, they are merely god-like beings that can be a font of power to any one species

Mender Silos himself also reveals to you that he used to be Lord Nemesis and says that the actions of his past self caused the end of the world, and so he comes from a future where life is very short and very dark, wishing to remedy his past mistakes. (or make sure he can't be stopped later, depending on whether or not you believe his story)

I totally missed that. That's... kinda lame. But it doesn't really change what I said much. She grows older instead of growing up. You still have to throw the wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey ball and say, "Okay, she was 18 when I saw her an hour ago in Faultline. Now she's 24, in the Freedom Phalanx and organizing a Task Force." Either way, you just have to go with it.

First and foremost: The end of the story. Please, can you give us a synopsis of what followed in the story, from i25 to the end?

Also:

- Exactly who or what is Dream Doctor? (perhaps the Well of Furies?)

-Is everything really a Nemesis plot? Did Silos/Nemesis engineer every single relevant event in order to empower us with means to face Batallion? (pick a fight with the Rikti to grab a hold of their technology, then play the Well of Furies into making Cole champion, which it would later compensate by starting an incarnate outbreak in Primal Earth, etc etc etc). Could he by chance also be responsible for Kheldian presence on Earth via Twilight Son? Also, why didn't Nemesis ever achieve incarnate status?

More questions to come!
