I'm popping in and out of forums. I really haven't had the heart to go in game lately- most of my SG mates have migrated to CO, and an old friend gave me a WoW subscription for my birthday this year...and yes, very upset at NCsoft for their actions.

I'm also doing NaNoWriMo this year, mostly to make myself write more-

But, still got my lurking license...

Zwill, I for one, appreciate all you've done during this time. It can't have been easy being left behind to close the store, as it were.

I bought my VIP again August 24th (I have been going on and off due to a move to FL). Does this mean I would get a partial subscription since I was subscribed as of the first? (If it doesn't, make sure that NCsoft uses the proceeds from my subscription to buy you lunch...)

Also...does this mean that the negotiations to save CoH has ended, or do those go on (hopefully)?

Again, thank you, Zwill. I know there are things you can't do, but I do appreciate all you have done to try to make this a little easier on us players. *hugs*

I do have a couple of questions-

Who or what was DJ Zero? Was he an Incarnate? What about his friends that symbolized the seasons (ie Baby New Year). Wouldn't mind hearing about how he came to be...

And while I haven't finished either signature arc (and I need to hurry and do that!)- I have to ask...was Penelope going to be the next Sister Psyche?

Freakshows- There were a few that had reformed, but kept their 'upgrades'. Were they still on the drug or were there other ways they could stop the pain from the 'upgrades'?

Were there any plans to give signature characters new costumes (or costume pieces)?

Even if CoH is saved, it's not going to be the same.

Let me introduce myself. Originally, I called myself DemonCaller on the forums, because I was running a toon called DemonCaller Oryo. She was supposed to be my main, this brash, wild, hard working and hard partying heroine.

Then several things happened. An argument with another player, several others insisting I play someone else and play with THEM instead of with the cool group I was forever trying to get into. I kinda gave up when 1) I realized I had no money to really collect art with- to this day, I am still saving up DA points and relying on Kirbans. and 2) my husband started an SG. and 3) I got tired of defending myself and my actions to some people- and trying to patch things up with someone who had apparently decided I was the sort of person that tortured kittens and boiled baby bunnies (Not true and yes, I saw that movie). This after he had me defriend him, and his closest friend. (Yes, I should not have mentioned it. For years, I lived in fear of this person- I was given to believe he had legal means to make life hell for me.)

But a few of the Art people continued to be my friends; Caemgen, for some odd reason has stuck with me- I never gave him or Vexxxa any reason to, but they did anyway.

And I left the art group in the end because...I had too much to deal with with the SG AND with RL. This past year alone, my husband has become sick, sick enough to stay in the hospital. And before that, I had to deal with my own self- I discovered that my bouncing mood- and my out of whack hormones contributed to that- was due to bipolar disorder. I am now on medication to control that...and I think with a clearer head before I rp in the D now. We also had to move due to the building we lived in being sold- and evicted because the new landlord wanted to jack up the prices, apparently.

To you guys, I apologize for staying away. I do think of you often, and try to touch base on DA as much as I can. I'll always be grateful to you for accepting me, bouncing moods and all. Hopefully, we will meet again, someday. Some place. I just wish I could make it right with that one person who defriended me, but I have a feeling even if I have the chance, he will NEVER, EVER allow me to do it.

Amerikat, if you are still reading this, may I have your permission to use you in a commission? It will be lighthearted- as two characters- mine and someone else's wrap up their storyline to ride into the sunset, and for that, I want Amerikat- and anyone else who wants to be included in it

My characters will still be around in one form or another, after the credits roll on CoH and the servers shut down.

Some will be recycled into other medium- Mellissandria, for instance, will just finally fix her timeship and go off into new adventures with her husband (In game, she married 'Father' Roy O'Bannen. Yes, we already talked about it, myself and Roy's player) Another character, I'm going to keep writing about, see if I can make a coherent story about her..

Others will be quietly retired- Eg: Rhiannon Archer (or Sailor Bast) will end her story, with luck, riding on the back of Reborn Healer's motorcycle in her wedding dress, casting off her veil as they ride into the sunset...and still others will quietly fade into the background or morph into other characters in other stories or MMOs.

While I want to believe that CoH will survive, something tells me that it may not. However, it might return at some point in that grey area where 'abandonware' MMOs go to live as a private server. Perhaps some of my toons will turn up there...or somewhere else.

In the world in my characters live, there will be no apocalypse; because of what happened when Tyrant was finally confronted, the future was changed. Lord Recluse, on seeing what happened to Tyrant, quietly turned his claws towards the cause of peace instead of domination. The Rikti have seen the errors of their ways, and work with the humans to rebuild the worlds. Because the future is changed, the 'coming storm' never comes to be, and the Well goes quiet....but when the call goes out for heroes, they will still be there to answer it. Especially those like Oryo and the Mystik Paladin, who are basically career superheroes. Even peace has to be defended, and those purse snatchers never do seem to learn...

But that's just me.

DA is a work of art, Doctor-

One of the most fun memories of this game is the humongous game of hide and seek that occured in the RWZ. At the time, I was on my Megatokyo inspired magical girl, and had the worst time trying to find you..I think I must have been the last one or next to last one to find you....

Fun times.

I'm hoping that you guys can find new jobs quickly, whether it be through a last minute miracle, or at another company. At any rate, hang in there, and keep thinking of the good times. Eight years is apparently a dang good run in MMO- dom... My hat's off to you guys.

I had to do that with a character that was meant to be a sidekick only. During her storyline, she had been forced into leadership, and into running the group during a time when there was no clear leader..

She wound up going through so many changes that I decided the kindest thing to do was to kill her off in RP...well, not exactly. She became a Kami, which is sort of a goddess/spirit, maybe due to her name of Kami Megami.

In the end, I couldn't delete her. Thought of sending her to Exalted, sent her to Union instead. At least she stands a chance of starting over (and I can keep her costume files in case she is ever needed on Virtue again.)

Re: Mystik Paladin-

Just to let y'all know, Alex is the first artist to get Arithon/Paladin right! And yes, I squeed like a fangirl when I saw it...

Ok..I tried to resist, but I can't...

I have a character, Arithon Kerson (known as Mystik Paladin) who doesn't get that much love ...He's a former rock star who inherited his grandfather's vast fortune and estate, and also a magic pendant that is the source of his powers (usually shows up as his brooch/cape clasp) An bit of an idealist, he is a man trying to make a difference in a chaotic world.

The girl called Sailor Bast gives Amerikatt one last hug and scritch.

Best glitch ever!

I loved just wandering about, watching and listening to the rp,and sometimes interacting.

I also took screenies with a friend somewhere near the end, and got the Galaxy City badges on Mystik Paladin, my broadsword/dark scrapper. I'll put up the screenies later, and put them also in my DA acccount.

Dunno if I will be there (running 2 SGs these days!) but Katie Hannon's TF would have lots of scrimmages And a badge or four.

Just a thought.

I wish I had known about the rockstar one..I could have brought Mystik Paladin, but oh well.
