Well my event will be Nov. 2nd-4th and I've managed to collect over 50 promised gift artz from 30+
amazing artists to give as prizes so sound off if you are still around and up for some winning of teh free artz!

Otherwise I may have to host most of it on DA.

Well going on the population on Defiant during the day time and yes I know people are at work /school in the past I have never been the sole player logged on,and if there are any hidden I have not even seen those people moving around the maps.It would appear that 95% of the population have already left the game for pastures new.Checking Virtue earlier today 73 people showing on search that was about 12.30 gmt in the past there have been over 200 at around the same time.I will leave you to draw your own conclusions to these population numbers but as a thought if someone came along and managed to buy the IP from NCSoft how many would even come back now.

I've not been in this section of the forums all that much, but I am here and definitely interested in this. It's great to see this wonderful aspect of this game's community continue and have a big hurrah.
I'd be very sad if there wasn't such a hurrah for all of the talent and interest in making our characters come alive outside of the game.

I think most would come back if it's the same game. Never know the new rights owners may have other ideas and may change some stuff around but I think new players may come, if word actually gets out this time, at a rate that would replace those that wont return and grow than before. I think this time the old players would try harder to ensure success, even if it's just out of spite for NCSoft.

And that may one fear of NCSOft and a reason they are not too keen on selling.

Do anyone have any hard numbers of those offers anyways or just more speculation. Not even sure if anything truely reasonable was offered or not. NCSoft might have ran out of options at the negotiating stage depending on what teh offers were. Remember, as it seems to be held to be truth, that this was the most populated game that is to be shut down and that would add value to the IP. I guess to get some sort of figure that what the IP should have actually be sold at, have to look at what many other game's IP was sold at, tha twas smaller, had less people in the end, and was another game in an over filled genre. COX, as believed by many, is considered to be the only one of it's type, populated, large game so the value should be top notch. Maybe all the offers were actually low ball offers that no one, NCSoft or any buisness would accept.

Or maybe NCSoft was asking for too much. Without actual facts being released, actual facts, not speculations of one particular side, then who knows who is actually being unreasonable. It might have been the proposed buyers that were being unreasonable in thinking that NCSoft should and or would just take what ever chump change is in the back pocket.

Maybe NCSoft have plans in the future maybe not. Maybe they dont know yet.

I'm popping in and out of forums. I really haven't had the heart to go in game lately- most of my SG mates have migrated to CO, and an old friend gave me a WoW subscription for my birthday this year...and yes, very upset at NCsoft for their actions.

I'm also doing NaNoWriMo this year, mostly to make myself write more-
