Joss Whedon to direct/write the Avengers sequel
I hope he gets big piles of money, it's about time.

Or the hawt guys if your preferences lean in that direction.
At least Whedon has experience with superpowered teenagers if it comes to that.

I mean the man made them a BILLION dollars for being a kickass director that knew how to put together a great superhero film. I belive that a sequal and a tv show is the least dis can do
Now we aren't ready quite yet to let the catgirls out of the bag.... (quote from ex libris)
He made them the money, he gets to do whatever the pancake he wants on a tv show. Noone's going to seriously question him when he makes the highest grossing film of all time with only his second or third feature.

That's not to say I expect the next Avengers pojects from him to totally suck. I'm just saying if he wanted to shoehorn a "@#$@!#$!@!$@% can't-act-can't-figure-out-emotion-emoish @#$@#$@# kid/teenager/twenty something" into whatever he does next then I'm sure it's going to happen. In fact I fully expect to see some kind of Buffy/Fray/River/Echo clone in some form or fashion.

My point is that he didn't just suddenly make a billion-dollar movie out of the blue on his first movie job - his whole decades-long career has been leading him towards this achievement.

I'm calling it - the Marvel-based TV series will be... Runaways.

Oh lord! We need a guest star by Hugh Jackman just so we can see Bruiser toss him through a couple walls.
Hell, I'd pay money to go to a theater and see a 5 minute short of that!
I have this awesome idea that Joss could lift from a comic book and turn into a series.

I was hoping Joss would do a Black Widow solo movie...
I really should do something about this signature.

Cos I think that's been done already
Lets be honest, Joss Whedon is rarely anything other than exceptional! Even the worst episodes of Buffy and Angel far surpass the vast majority of TV out there!
I'm stoked and can't wait to see what he comes up with
We built this city on Rock and Roll!
Eh, we'll see where this goes. He earned a lot of credit with me with the first Avengers movie, but that didn't really give him enough time to slip into his bad habits. He tends to do phenomonal early on, then start slipping the longer it goes.
BUT! At this point he's earned a few slips. So no real worries I suppose.

Is it bad that I've never considered Linda Carter as WW all that attractive? She's kind of mannish.

Even if you weren't a Linda Carter fan you at least recognized who she was supposed to be.
A man can dream, right?

Too bad Megan has already pretty much nixed the idea and said something to the effect that she didn't identify with the character at all.
That's because she's a sex robot.
It wouldn't be a *good* movie, don't get the wrong idea, but I'd still watch it. Muted, preferably.

I am so surprised.
Also creating a Marvel-based series for ABC...
It's a trap Joss!
