Sorry not a Megan Fox fan. If she were cast as WW it would kill any interest I had in seeing it.

I understand that a lot of people consider Morgan Fox to be sexy but I've never heard anyone describe Lynda Carter as "mannish". Just about the only thing that might be "mannish" about Lynda is her height - the rest of her various curves and jiggles say anything else but mannish.

As far as a "serious" version of Wonder Woman goes I'd almost rather see Lynda Carter suit up again (even the older 2012 version of her) in a new movie than Morgan Fox. That's just how vapid and annoying I consider Morgan Fox to be. She couldn't even keep herself from mouthing off and holding on to her cushy Transformers gig.

I suppose I could accept Morgan Fox being cast in an underground porn version of Wonder Woman. That's likely the only kind of movie she'll be able to make from now on anyway. *shrugs*

Judging by her performance in TDKR, Anna Hathaway might make a pretty decent WW.

What do you have against the pron industry that you would wish Morgan Fox on them.

The outfit is unflattering; it emphasizes her shoulders. If you take the outfit out of the equation though, and just concentrate on her silhouette? Dayumn.

That's a woman.

The only thing that ever bothered me about the outfiit were the shorts. Very diaperish to me.

Yeah, I think the problem is that the whole thing is just too short. The waistline is too high, or the bust line is too low, or both. FWIW, the fashion rule, as I understand it, is that a very short-skirted dress should have sleeves (or a very low-cut dress should have a long skirt).

So whether you wanna say that the outfit emphasizes Carter's shoulders or elongates the shorts, I think those complaints are basically about the same thing.

If you look at the pic of Megan Fox, you see that the line of the belt on her outfit is lower than her belly button. (Incidentally, the lower edge of the belt traces a more classically reminiscent, cuirass-like line below the abdomen.) Carter is a more attractive woman than Fox, though; if you put Carter in the same outfit (sans the updated headband, which I think is unflattering to Fox), then zowie.

Thank you for someone actually remembering her name.

Megan (not Morgan) Fox.

Also, Anne (not Anna) Hathaway.

Linda Carter, to me, is mannish in the face. She looks like a man. In the face. To me. Diana is supposed to be ravishingly beautiful and have a solid, muscular form as a battle-hardened Amazon; Linda Carter is much too jiggly for that.

Coincidentally, the first person I thought of when I read the description I wrote was Aussie hurdler Michelle Jenneke (her of the Internet-famous warmup dance video), and VOILA!

Oh get over it. You act like everyone was spelling the name wrong thru the whole thread which isn't true.

Personally I think Lothic spelled the [pancakes] name wrong on purpose which is why I ran with it in my joking response to her post.

I'm a journalist. Misspellings (and especially incorrect names) are like you punching a baby in the face.

Get over *yourself* and spell it right.

Obviously not on the Guardian.

I really should do something about this signature.

Truth be told it actually was sort of a typo on my part. But perhaps my subconscious has so little respect for MEGAN Fox as an actress that my conscious brain didn't bother to inform me that I was making that mistake.

In a shocking twist, Whedon will kill HIMSELF off approximately two thirds of the way through the film. The remaining third will consist of the characters aimlessly shambling around, unable to function without direction...

... and Whedon's fans will go on and on about how brilliant it is! The main problem will be, as Daffy Duck pointed out when he pulled a similar stunt, "What can you do for an encore?"

Ugh, don't joke. This is one of my major problems with Whedon, his weird Grim Reaper obsession. Course if he killed one of the main cast there'd be a good chance they'd either come back immediately, or in the next movie. But god forbid you be a likeable second string character.

That's because he was kept under control - this wasn't one of his vanity projects where he has license to indulge his trademark "coolness" for a season before cancellation - it was a carefully planned operation that was the climax of several years of work from other directors and writers who had established the universe, situations and characters that the movie would use.

This. She may look nice in the suit but she would be poison to the movie as a whole.

Even if you weren't a Linda Carter fan you at least recognized who she was supposed to be.
The Cathy Lee Crosby Wonder Woman has been classified under Chapter 13, Section 8, Paragraph 11 of the Geek Code book. You'll find it listed in the index under W.W.N.S.O.T.

It's okay, everyone has differing opinions on things. By the way would you like me to refer you to my eye doctor?
