Jackie Chan was in Cannonball Run II actually. As was the guy who played Jaws in the Bond Films (They were partners).

And Bill Muny wasn't the olny B5er to experience Sci-Fi before then. Bruce Boxleitner (of course) and Peter Jurasik were both in the Original Tron, even though they never shared screen time together in that film.

Thank you for the time...
Jackie Chan was in Cannonball Run 1 and 2 actually. Yes, Captain Sheridan was indeed TRON, in fact in some episodes after Sheridan took over I'd swear that some of the background control consoles occasionally had a "tron" look to them. Also there was an episode where at the end either Franklin or Garibaldi said to him that the important thing was that they made it and Sheridan said "so far". Nice TRONism there.

As to Bill Mumy seeing him escape any typecasting from Lost in Space is a good thing given what a camp fest it devolved into as of Season 2.

Nathan Fillion in Dracula 2000. So young.

Speaking of the X-Files....

I was sorta half way watching Johnny English Reborn. Having missed the opening credits, i kept asking myself "who's the hawt milf playing Pegasus [the head of MI-7]?" The fake English accent kept throwing me, I kept thinking I must have seen her on Doctor Who or something.

But then she got "that look" that Scully was famous for (about a minute thirty in)...Damn, that's Scully!

She is much hawter now than she was 20 years ago.

And he was the villain in The Rocketeer. I was like 15 or so when that came out and I remember my mind being blown at seeing James Bond playing a bad guy.

Here's a good one... Neil Flynn. You probably know him best as "Janitor" on Scrubs. But did you know he was also...

A transit cop in The Fugitive (the 1993 movie, not the old TV series)?

Lindsay Lohan's father in Mean Girls?

A G-Man in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Cyrstal Skull?

Fake English accent? She grew up in England and moved back there to live a few years ago. She is one of the few actresses who can manage a flawless English and American accent because she spent so much time in each country.

I guess long ago my brain froze in the idea of Mark Hamill "being" Luke Skywalker and it will just not ever accept him as anything so completely different as the Joker.
It's a shame that people within the industry felt that way too
Despite that he was apparently killing it in the greatly successful play, they refused to cast him in Amadeus, because he was "Luke Skywalker".
As much as I loved Tom Hulce's performance in that (I hear it was greatly similar to Hammill's portrayal)... I always wonder what might have happened had Hamill not been stymied like that back then. Ford may not have been the only one to break into large success... eh, who knows!

For the record, I was never surprised about him being Joker mainly because 1) I knew he was always such a big fan of comics and sci-fi and 2) I know he has serious acting chops (even what he gets teased about within Star Wars contains some really great chops from him for exactly what that project called for... which is such a huge thing).

Haha... sorry... that aspect of Hammill has to spew out of me every now and then!! (I completely understand being surprised and don't take what you said or thought as odd or bad in any way!)

To add one to the list...

While I knew about it before I watched the first episode, the fact that Hugh Laurie, one of the funniest and silly-faced British comedians that I've loved watching for years on Fry and Laurie and Jeeves and Wooster and the many Blackadders...

(he's one of those rare few that can make me laugh hysterically just be pulling certain faces and/or the way he acts)

Became enormously popular in America as an extremely gruff, American doctor!!

Not surprised at all by his skills, but I just always find it hilarious and BWAH-worthy!!

Not being a fan of Westerns, I've never seen Silverado, so the only way I'd have know Linda Hunt was in it would have been by checking her wikipedia/IMDB pages.

I'm sure you Know Brian Blessed is in The Pirates! But did you know he was in it twice? On the application form for Pirate of the year their is a "Roaring" category. The boxes are labelled something like "Loud", "Very Loud" and "Brian Blessed".

I really should do something about this signature.

Where as I know him mostly as Chief Pope on The Closer, and the guy from the Farmer's Insurance commercials.

While on the topic of Legend of Korra, Mako is voiced by Bud Bundy.

I actually remember J.K. Simmons (actor in question) first as shrink Dr. Emil Skoda from the Law and Order franchise. Looked up his listing on IMDB. Damn... He portrayed that Character for nearly the entire L&O Series run (except mainly when he was involved w/The Closer). He's also the voice of the Cadamus General in JL/JLU. Wow...

Thank you for the time...

Speaking of Avatar voices...

Katara was voiced by Mae Whitman, who played Ann Veal on Arrested Development, and Evil-Ex Roxy Richter in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Those were her most well-known rolls, but did you know she also played President Bill Pullman's daughter in Independence Day?

Hugh Laurie also played one of Cruella Devilles' lackeys in 101 Dalmations.

on the indie tip, Hal Hartley's excellently deadpan 1994 offering The Amateur featured a number of notables in small parts that triggered double takes during a recent re-watch.

Tim Blake Nelson (best known for Oh Brother, Where Art Thou), Parker Posy (90's indie 'it girl') & Michael Imperioli (Sopranos).

Always weird to watch a movie you know and love years later and spot people you didn't recognize at the time.

Funny, I always remember him as the white supremacist Schillinger on Oz. Now he's everywhere! Good for him.

He was also Juno's dad in Juno.
