Rock, rock on Hamster.
So what is the deal with this? Is it live yet? Is there any contacts associated with it to get missions from? I'm in game and haven't seen a single sign of anything to do with this? Some information would be much appreciated.

So is there a badge for this, or should I go ahead sit yet another lagfest out?
Edit: Answered my own question. Defeating Nemesis himself (a Giant Monster class version) awards the "A Nemesis Plot" badge. It's a non-global badge. Ugh.

Help keep Paragon City alive with the unofficial City of Heroes Tabletop Role Playing Game!
Kyia Hunter snapped awake to the sound of blaring sirens echoing through the halls. As she instinctively reached for her helmet on the table next to the bed, her balance was lost as she tumbled from the cot and was left sprawling onto the floor with a thud.
"I'm getting to old for this." She groaned.
Blindly reaching one hand up to reclaim her prize, she pulled herself upright and donned the Reingard helmet and familiar sense of virtigo filled her being as the physics-dampening field took effect. Freed from gravity's embrace, she gently kicked off the bed, sending it skidding backwards several feet as she propelled forward. "Honestly," She continued as she impacted and added another dent to the reinforced locker containing her outfit, "After putting down the Rikti and the Praetorians, who could possibly be left that would be stupid enough to invade a city full of Incarnates?"
As she pulled herself upright and fitted her bodysuit, a voice from her police radio cried out; "It's Nemesis!"
Kyia rolled her eyes as she toyfully smacked her own forehead. If done to anyone other than herself, the act would have dislocated their neck. "Seriously," she muttered in disbelief, "Don't tell me he actually went and built an orbital steam palace in THIS continuity as well!"
Kyia's unnatural existence in this altered timeline had provided her considerable foresight as she continuously waged many of the same battles that she had already experienced almost two decades ago in her own past. But in the face of the Praetorian war, her predictions had flown right out the window. The diminished presence of her archnemesis Slayzarius in this continuity had dramatically altered how humanity was to deal with the Battalion, and in her timeline Nemesis had his turn in stepping up to the plate with the misguided justification to conquer the Earth in order to protect it. Was history beginning to reassert itself?
Voices barely containing their panic continued to shout over the radio as she armed herself.
"Calm down, it's Nemesis for Christ's sake! He hasn't pulled of a successful heist in at least 3 years!"
The steely clamps of her terrestrial boots fitted themselves to the contour of her calfs, and at last she was able to stand normally.
"Something's wrong - his troops aren't dropping like they normally do. Did they finally invest in body armor?"
Kyia fitted a buster gauntlet onto her right hand and gave it a squeeze. The impactor mounted on the front punched forward with a violent burst of pressure.
"They just keep coming!"
"Hold the perimeter at Blyde Square! We're sending you three Hardsuits for support!"
Those beleagured officers would be getting much more backup than that, Kyia silently promised - the Sylph Knight was on her way!
"Another group just busted into Drenched Donuts! All units, disengage and head to Faultline!"
Kyia sighed, dejectedly.

Do Fake Nemesis or Warhulks spawn from this event?
Just got hit by a ton of minions and LTs but no bosses in sight...

I found a badge:
A Nemesis Plot
You've tangled with Nemesis himself (at least, you think so...) during the Nemesis Plot event.

Need more info. Is the badge account wide or is it per-character (yuck for a limited time event)? How long will the event run for? How often do the invasions happen?
I'm stuck at work, but it sounds fun! Just promise you'll let us know when you're coming to Virtue as part of a live, hosted event. Bantering with Nemesis sounds like an epic CoH experience.

Okay so I just did this ...
Is that seriously *IT*?
I mean ... great writeup for the announcement, but is this entire event seriously just "take zombie invasion, substitute nemesis mobs for zombie mobs, give badge"?
Because ... where's the story?
Please, CoH Staff ... tell me that this is not it. Please tell me that there's more to come for this event, and that writeup you did with Nemesis in the sub wasn't wasted on ... that.
Because that's sad.
I am very disappointed.

Is that...all?
It's a bland, boring, standard invasion event?
It's not even as interesting as the Rikti invasions!
I REALLY hope there's more than this. Because I'm severely underwhelmed and disappointed. Brilliantly descriptive write-up, and then...One GM, one badge, a standard invasion with NO stages, nothing interesting?
I know you guys can do better than this.

It's on the *first page*. Yes, there's more than just the rikti/zombie bits; those are just what's run automatically.
Nice.
Enjoy your day please.
Without knowing if you meant to or not I read this in the tune of that one song can't even think what it is called but a looney toon (I think) sang it and the only part I remember is the really fast part where it says animal or mineral, someone please help me out here with that song, but I did really read your "poem" in that tune so +10 interweb points for you.

In other words, they had a fairly large, well-written build up to the event...and thus far, it's not living up to what's written. This is...not a Nemesis plot. I want to see something devious, clever, sneaky, and unexpected. This is none of those things.

I sincerely hope that their "live elements" are more than a couple of devs spawning random Nemesis-related monsters in a couple of zones, like they have been previously.

And yes, it is a Nemesis plot. What we've so far is *exactly* what we saw written down as the opening of his plot- swarming the city on multiple fronts to wear defenses down.
They're going to innundate us with these raids until we stop responding (or less people do), thus "wearing down defenses..."
Then... they'll hit us with one more... during the Central Time Zone dinner hour...
And then the subs (note the plural) will rise up out of the water.
Aand then... said subs will transform into giant Fake Nemesi...
Aaand then...
The REAL Nemesis will appear...
By then the lag will be soooooo bad that entire zones will crash and lock all those Incarnate characters and the players will be forced to grab their second stringers....
But by then it will be too late. Nemesis wins due server melt and the ForumRage spawns no less than five new threads about how various players were robbed of their badges/XP/event experience....
And someone will cry DOOM while lolpvp gets mentioned and a baser hangs their head to cry at the futility of wanting base luv.
Oh, and there shall be a "I crashed because my male warshade has no sash...."
Did I miss anything?
