We quitted ouroboros SA, or TF because we were not able to do the hunt parts many time... when an event is a pain in the... something is wrong.

I was expecting and hoping for so much more than this.

Ath the start of the month, we were hoping that the rather pathetic attacks on the city were just the start of the event, and it would escalate into something great as the month went on.

No such luck. After the first week of 'invasions' people stopped caring. Now, his attempts to take over the city are more of a minor nusence, an inconvienience at best.

Sadly, I have to agree. Nemesis may be my favorite NPC in this game, and I hoped that there was going to be some further elaboration on this event with a Phase Two that would indicate some higher plan, like maybe an event-based tip that sometimes would drop while fighting the invasions that gave you a mission to foil- one he was working completing on while his distractions were supposed to keep everyone busy. Or even having participation in an event make Nemesis Automatons of the given enemy group spawn in you missions for a while ala the Kheldian Khooties mechanic.

The old canned ham really phoned this one in, and I'm saddened by that.

Simple Qol solution on the devs part. If an invasion hits say Talos then Talos 2 is automatically spawned. Followed by no invasions in any "2" so TF/SF can go on without a hitch.

I'm hoping they're saving their efforts for (a) the summer event, and (b) they'll make up for stuff like this in another two years and have a freaking incredible, OMG-I-just-novaed-my-pants event for the tenth. Eight is just "one of those things."

... that said, I could really do with these going away after two weeks instead of being a full month thing.

I agree with Memphis Bill, two weeks would have been fine for this event. A full month makes it feel like it's just dragging on.

Y'know, what a bunch of crap. I was finally able to get a big enough group of people together on a low population server tonight to spawn Nemesis, we get him down to a sliver of health and he effin' despawns because the attack is over.

That is purely and simply BS. It's hard enough to get people together for these events to get the badge after the first week to 10 days, but then to have the freaking thing end before we can finish the objective off?

I've about had it with these "special events" and "limited time bagdes."

The biggest problem, IMO, is simply the amount of people necessary to spawn these big guys. If you're requiring 16+ people, yer gonna have a bad time. All of these big bads from invasions should be spawnable (and defeatable) with under 8 people present.

We spawned him with about 12 people, but it took nearly 3/4 of the invasion to gather that many heroes.

IMO, once he spawns he shouldn't despawn until A) he's defeated, or B) he's gone 60 seconds without taking any damage.

Had that happen on Guardian last Saturday, too. Had him down to quite literally a sliver of health (as in could barely see it, maybe 1-2%) then *vwip* everything vanished.

I fully agree with the later suggestion of "60 seconds of no damage before he despawns." The rest of his crew can go carry bags to the penthouse, for all I care.

I am just glad it is over at this point.

"Why is everyone worried that I am spending too much time in Dark Astoria, and the place is starting to make me darker? The truth is, what I have seen, what I know... these are the things that have made me reconsider my direction in life. I am still a hero... I just do things my own way now."

FYI, I logged in to see Issue 23 live and Nemesis invasions still occurring all over the place.

According to a Zwill post in another thread, the Rhapsodic badge will still be given out through tomorrow, so I'm guessing the invasions will end at the same time.

Main Hero: Chad Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1396 Badges
Main Villain: Evil Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1193 Badges

So I saw.

I spoke too soon I guess.

This event has dragged on too long and pops up too often. It's hard for lowbies in appropriate level zones (Kings Row, for example), interrupts a lot of basic functionality (training, going to contacts, hunting in a zone) and it's uninspired. The other invasions had some neat twists -- the Rikti taking down the war walls and the bombing phase, for example or the zombies popping out of the ground and the creepy atmosphere for that one. This one seems utterly phoned in.

If they never run it again, I won't complain.

Please if you do something like this again make a small TF/SF or missions. I could never get enough of group to spawn the GM or it would time out. So no badge for me. :-(
