Looks really good, holding out on judgement for actual seat time in it.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

The trial actually looked great, I liked how Cole justified his actions in a way like "look at what you made me do". We win, but Praetoria now looks like something out of the Fallout series.

I also got the feeling that he was possibly feeling betrayed by the people he was trying to "protect", along with an "if I can't have it, then no one can" attitude to his world.

I'm not sure how else anyone expected the Praetorian War or the final battle with Cole to play out. I mean, did they think it'd be settled in the Peaceful Negotiation Trial? Pretty much from Day 1, I figured the final confrontation would HAVE to leave Nova Praetoria in ruins. It's a major superhero throwdown. Those tend to be all about massive property damage.

So, yeah... unless, y'know, they did a really inconclusive end with an unending, unwinnable, stalemated Praetorian War on top of the Rikti War, the Battallion War, the war with Mot, etc.

Or we could time-lock everything, never advance. Guess that makes for RP.... somehow. Don't see that breaking my RP, personally.

Are they? The population of Nova Praetoria will certainly be a little less after Mr. Savior of Praetoria thew his Incarnate tantrum - but I didn't see any mention of Imperial City or Neutropolis being wiped out, or First Ward, or other places even further away from Praetoria City.

Yeah because there aren't any survivors in First Ward, all Praetorians are just dead dead dead.

Statesman is dead, yet we will still have storied Like MJ that feature him. People can still RP a Preatorian, for them that even just hasn't happened yet. The beauty of RP is just about anything can be explained away.

The 1-20 story as written has all participants abandoning both Cole and 'being a Praetorian.' Anyone wanting to substitute their own reality for 'RP purposes' was building a sand castle.

Not every server's RP is on a character by character basis. Union is a community, not a god-modding epeen RP contest, for example. Story is a little important.

Yeah, I think if nothing else, AT LEAST First Ward will be safe.

I expect Imperial City (where most people actually live) will be partially damaged, but it'll survive.

Super powers. They can probably rebuild Nova Praetoria in a few days. Hopefully with all the chaos, the populace were evacuated too.
