So beast mastery next week?

We can only hope we get Beast Mastery or Staff Fighting next week. But my hopes have been getting crushed in and out of game lately so I am not putting a lot of faith into it.

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
The beta forums can't stop going on about how awful Beast mastery is balance wise. So I hope it's Staff fighting.
I'm hoping for Staff Fighting also.
I wish it was staff, but it won't be. Confirmed we ain't getting it this month.
Now Beast Mastery, "Next Week" can mean anything to devs.

They are not releasing staff at this time but will soon™.
If BM is going to be released next week then they had better hurry up and make some serious fixes and get them up on test. I mean they would not release a set without the changes needed would they, stares at Dark control umbral beast in MM Bodyguard mode, and the powers soul absorption and fade.
Well Dark was free so releasing it unfinished while not ideal is forgivable to help meet the I22 release date right? I wonder what excuses the fanbois will use to justify BM being released unfinished and for pay.

However if it is released on sale it could be argued to buy it on sale and wait till they fix it to use it (pretend you have pre-ordered).
I wouldn't mind them letting us pre-order powersets like those so they know how desired (or not) these are.

I guess I'll plink away at some stuff here and there, but that is the only thing I am really looking forward to.

so it looks like neither staff or beast mastery will not make it to the double xp event, wow, thats a bad call on the devs to do something like that in my opinion, i can just see the artical for next week "hope you all got your characters to lvl 50 with the double xp event, what a great way to celebrate this then by making you do it all over again with our new powerset!" come on devs, come on.

They could wait to release it when it is fixed (the best scenario) so we are removed from the equation.
They can release it broken (like any number of other game things). I realise there is a difference between things on the Paragon Market to buy vs things included in our subscription but for some people they may be subscribing for that item so they are effectively giving PS money for broken things also.
Since releasing broken stuff is sadly normal for the online gaming industry, we purchasers are left with the choice to buy it broken or not buy it.
In our defense since we expect that they will eventually fix it, buying it broken on sale makes more sense than waiting to buy it fixed and not on sale unless we can reasonably expect that the message sent of not buying broken stuff will put a stop to the industry norm of selling broken stuff.
I don't see much hope that the industry will change and they have conditioned most of us to buy broken stuff and wait for them to fix it.
And once they sell it to us we do have a stronger case to demand that they fix it. (he says with only a small amount of hope)

As for Staff, if BM ends up being next week (and War Witch's post certainly makes it sound like the case), I doubt it. They've never released two powersets to the market in the same month before.

Then again I am pretty old school and back in the day many things were different from how the younger generations have been conditioned to accept as ok/normal. Oh well I'll get over it LOL!

Because of Day Jobs, it is actually my preference to roll a hero then park them at the various Day Job locations needed to get some Helpful Temporary Powers before I launch their careers. Since I have a bunch of heroes I play already as my mood strikes me, I really enjoy waiting and thus having a little extra help (along with the perma Vet Powers like the Nemesis Staff) as they fumble about in their low level glory.
Having Tear Gas and a Nem Staff for Melancton Back In The Day would have made the Caves of Atta a MUCH happier experience.
So I will likely park my Beast Mastery MM while I play other heroes anyway. Getting a sale price would be great. I would rather be getting it free, since I do not care for Dark Mastery, but them's the breaks.

Mind you Rogue Isles of Demons, Widows and Soldiers of Archnos was pretty cool (as long as you weren't in melee with the tide of howling demon flesh)

Actually it makes perfect sense from their perspective. 2XP is a good draw for drawing people back to the game; so is the release of a new powerset. From that perspective, putting both out at once is redundant; it makes more sense to do one, then the other.
