You can give the answer any way you want to. Months of extra enjoyment? Amount more fun? Amount less bugs?

The patch notes indicate a lot of new content - DA for incarnates, new low level story arcs, and the Bloody Bay sf. I know that Hollow is only a few days of content, but I played it over and over again - so it was worth for more than that. Are these going to be play it once and done or big boost to what people actually play?

Stalker AT gets reborn - that could be a lot of time for players if they now essentially have a new AT to play.

Dark powersets for controllers and dominators.

---

I will probably never see the inside of DA again as I don't like high level content. But I play in the teens a lot. New content there while generally unneeded is great for me. I know I will create a dark character either dom or controller (probably dom), and I may even try stalker again as the concept was cool but it just wasn't enough fun.

I would say with a bit of new content for me and 2 new characters to try it will probably tide me over for 2 months.

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

crap! I did forget about the eight and a half barrels of monkeys!

Has anyone seen them? Has anyone been feeding them?!?!

... Did anyone remember to poke some airholes in those barrels?

umm...

... how about I throw in thirty seven gophers and a hairdryer and we just forget about the monkeys.

It does pretty well for Stalkers, honestly. The changes to their Assassin's attack are useful, and having a higher HP cap is always nice.

Dark Astoria may be very slow, very frustrating and rather poor as a "solo Incarnate path"... but it's an interesting-looking zone and the story arcs are entertaining.

So... there are a couple of things for the "Win" column.

i don't know, the barrels of monkeys were an effective cautionary tale.

By expanding player options and game content each issue improves the game, but it's hard to evaluate how much better when the new issue has just launched and the fresh crop of bugs is waiting to be addressed.

Offhand i'd say it's interrobang better at this point.

.
Of course it has been on test server where a lot of players have tried it out. So it is not an unknown change

And situations like THIS is why I switched to measuring "Fun" in the metric of "Fun Size" candy bars years ago. Not only for the increased precision, but the storage and upkeep improvements.

Ah, but how things will settle out among the larger playerbase has yet to be seen, and there are bugs from the beta that still need to be fixed. How well received the rate of progression for the new DA is viewed by the larger playerbase is another unknown. The new sets and content are nice of course, but since i like to team what really interests me is how other players will respond...

A lot better. The only thing I can find to complain about is the colour of the ring around Assassin's Strike when three stacks of Assassin's Focus are active because it looks a lot like the Street Justice and Dual Blades combos. And I'm looking as hard as I can.

What.

Oh wait. This isn't an "or what?" thread?

dugfromthearth is slipping.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

This Issue packs more than I expected. I mainly read up on DA and the new sets so the new arcs in Steel came outta left field!

Makes me happy, I was just planning on starting and running a new toon 'old school' going to Hollows at level 5 and then I wasn't sure what arc's to run from 14 to 20, now I've got brand new ones!

That said...

BRING ON STAFF FIGHTING!!

Well, it seems I'm going to start having to be a lot more picky of what arcs to play during the level twenty range for certain characters now. Are they a character more likely to take on evil clones of themselves, go after magical secrets and artifacts, or visit alternate worlds?

Now if only the level 30 range had this much selection....

About 20% cooler.

I don't know. Issue 4 broke my favourite hair option, and it still hasn't been fixed!

I13 would like a word with you.

Also, really loving the content so far. I22 made the game quite a bit better.

Issue 13 introduced Day Jobs, Merit Rewards, Level Pacts, and Multiple Builds, which are pretty frikken awesome IMO. It also restructured supergroup base pricing (and got rid of the use of base salvage) and added some invention sets.

Since the vast majority of the game doesn't PVP, that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.
