Sick Puppies - Either /Poison or /Pain
An animal trainer working for a circus that gets cursed (the whole circus) when someone cheats an old gypsy woman out of her prize. His animals begin to wither and die, and he makes a pact with a demon for the power to save them. The side effect of that becoming that both he and his animals become more and more savage and twisted as he uses the power.

I'm going to finally remake my namesake - Wyldhunt, who is currently an En/Elec Brute, and has sat unplayed since just after the Energy Transfer nerf. I don't care how Beast Mastery stacks up again the other MM primaries - the Master of the Wild Hunt concept as a BM/DM MM will be very, very fun for me.
Current primary characters, all on Guardian:

I made The Blind Druid a few months ago. Actually, was going to originally make him a plant controller but I already have 2 of those so I decided to go the Beast/Storm or Beast/Dark route. The concept is that he uses the animals as his eyes.
Stoker Grey, BM/Dark - a vampire whose plane crashed in the dark heart of Africa and who became a primitive after many years.

I'm holding back the character name until I get it created, but it's the same as the "real name" of one of my current rogues. The primal version (bs/sr stalker) is a steampunk airship pirate, because she grew up assuming that Nemesis would have won by now, and planned accordingly. There is no globe-spanning dirigible fleet for her to rob, but she makes do.
So I figure her Praetorian counterpart would have expected Hamidon to have won by now, so she spent her life preparing to having to survive off of simple tech and what can be found in nature. The cities are still there, and even being rebuilt, but she makes do.
I'd go beasts/arrows if oil slick arrow wasn't cripplingly bugged, and I'd go beasts/poison if I could stand being constantly mezzed, but instead I'm going beasts/traps. (Besides, web grenade is almost essential when fighting flying foes using beast mastery. Stupid Longbow Eagles.)
I snagged the name Cruelty with Animals for thermal/traps/poison and will probably end up going thermal from the advice others gave in that thread. Can't think of any more serious themes to go with, but using beasts to spread disease via /poison and blowing them up via /traps is almost as mean as setting them on fire all the time.
Perhaps it could become a group thing and someone could actually have a dire wolf on fire, infected, and running into a group to be detonated all at once. There should be a badge for that. hehe.

Not sure about name, but I'm thinking Sonic as a secondary with some music/sound based reason s/he controls them.
Just a basic thought for the moment.
After mulling over the choices (there arent that many) I decided to go for the Ring master and circus animals route.
The little twist I made was making him evil. The animals follow him and obey his orders out of fear rather than an empathy with him. For a good pairing with Beasts, im having Pain, which goes well with the concept.
I would have liked the option for having the MM hold some sort of tool, such as a shamans / druids staff, riding crop or whip with which to tame and command the animals, but it seems thats not happening

I made Padrona which is Italian for Hunter (if Google Translate is correct). She is a Beast/Trick Arrow. After spending an hour+ on the costume my wife looks at it and says she looks like the chick from Hunger Games...damn

Princess Johanna, the all-singing all-dancing stereotypical fairy tale heroine. She started as an Emp/Beam/Psy defender, but it was recommended to me switching her to BM/Sonic to pick up her furry friends. I went with BM/Pain as I thought it reflected her singing prowess better, now all I need is a bright power color option to make her truly sparkly.

I wanted to make a real Bear looking character because the set doesn't have a Bear boss pet. However, going through all the options, it's hard to make a good looking Bear.
In the end, I went with a White Tiger look, so I'll have 4 Wolves and 2 Lions and 1 Tiger.
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

I made a Beast/Sonic named Calls of the Wild. The pets are named Growl, Snarl, Pant, Purr, Roar, and Howl.
So just curious....what names/themes are you going with? I parked a couple in anticipation of Beast Mastery release, although I was disappointed to learn its not happening tomorrow. Oh well, the names will keep until it does release, hopefully soon.
Beast/Dark seemed like a good combo. I'd loved to have tried Beasts/TA for a Shaman sort of theme but after my last Demon/TA debacle, I won't touch that again until it does more than just litter the ground with worthless sticks (well, pre-OSA/EMP at any rate). Beast/Dark seemed like a good Congo theme to me so I've come up with a few names that fit that. If it weren't for the Lions, I'd have come up with a supernatural theme. As it was, I grabbed a Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood name as a potential runner up. Might release it however.
Any other ideas for powers/themes/names?
