I vote for C

but it would be awesome to get a Blinky Lights Chest Panel option IN ADDITION.

I am so diggin "C"

If its broke, don't fix it... I like the chaos!

Again D. All of the above.
Why not all three? Mix and match.

I like C because it looks tough and armoured, and A because it looks like a soft fabric suit.

I like the typical retro-space look for C (for which I voted) -- specifically the rings around the boots and gloves. But I want them to GLOW! I love all the glowing pieces CoH has incorporated into costumes as of late, and regardless of the winning set, I think the costume should glow. It's SPACE! C'mon.

I gotta go with A here. The little darth vader style chestplate is awesome, and B looks a little too close to the stealth pattern, even with the glowy lines.

Glow lines also aren't that retro. Blinky light chestplates are.

i had to vote for suit a....the chest box rules and is a classic...suit b is by far the better suit...but the glow lines belong on suit c....but suit c looks like the crey tech set...just sayin...

Went with A. "Glowy" just doesn't really scream out "retro sci-fi suit," and A can also be used for a "non retro" base astronaut type suit. C worries me with pre-tinting.

Can the rings/ridges/etc. be a shoulder detail?

Also, I've got to say I'd like to know (unless I've missed this answer already) if these are unisex, and/or have an idea what the female version will look like. If we get "Male gets suit, female gets Jane Jetson's dress," I'll be ticked - though the art team has seemed to indicate they'll try to avoid that in the future.

Wanted: Origin centric story arcs.
If you've only played an AT once (one set combo) and "hate" it - don't give up. Roll a different combo. It may just be those sets not clicking for you.

Tron is sorta-retro, sure. It is not, however, retro as in "space/sci fi" as described for the pack. It's more sorta-cyberpunk. For this sort of "retro?" Look at the stuff from the 50s. The suits might be *metallic* but not so much "glowie."

... if they're not just wearing suits or uniforms.

Look at Space: 1999:

This is the sort of stuff I'm keeping in mind when picking these bits.

Even though I voted for C why not just make them all. You have concept for A though C so just make sci fi parts 1 through 3. Why limit us with one set and just do them all. I can't speak for everyone else but i don't mind paying for each look. The more the better. Stop limiting my imagination. I love to mix match sets. So you win with money even if you push out all 3 looks... =)

I agree. I like shoulders and boots from A but rest of suit in C.
Thanks

Have to say, the glowy bits lines from Nort would be awesome. But that can be done with the pattern.

C has the AWESOME corrugated crinkly joints. Danger Rill Wobinson.

but A has, what i think is the best overall look.
And if it wins, I look forward to all the Samurai Sith lords running around paragon for a while :-)

The chest panel on A is what had me vote that way. If you put that panel into chest emblems or options, then definately B.

You can't spell Slaughter without laughter

All your gonna do is just farm behemoths anyways.

My thoughts on November 30.

I vote A, I love the chest console for internal suit adjustments, that is the coolest. It will go so well with other suit and robot themed toon designs, especially for those which might have the "Think Tank" head, this will allow for a more sythetic homeostasis feel to it.

Then there is the alien life form bonded with the Kheldian, the host body might not be adept to life on Earth.

I went with B soley because of that little "glow" note. Glowing pieces=awesome . I think the pattern from C fits "retro space" better though, and I see easy potential to make that glow as well. If not the channels/lines of the suit then the rings. The rings glowing would be something I'd bet would turn out super popular, and I know "rings" is what the playersummit co-designers really wanted to see. A is much more versatile, being able to work as exterminator/ghostbuster or whatever, but with an unexplored theme like retro sci-fi I think highly detailed/limiting factors that contribute well to the theme are ok, so I'd rather see B or C than the genericness of A.

Edit: Oh. And B's texture really reminds me of "Stealth" or Vanguard or something. Making C glow really would be perfect imo

C for the gloves and boots. Gotta have those for my Beam Rifle character Space Ace Jace.
Now port those gloves and boots over to the B body suit and we have ourselves a winner ...
I know, I know - you have limitations, but you can't show us options and expect us NOT to lust after them all.
Sometimes, maybe, the wizard SHOULD stay behind the curtain after all.

They should all be available

From the looks of it theres not too much difference in them besides minor details. All Sets should have about 3 options to them, just like the samurai set did.

I went with C as it is like nothing that we currently have.

Thank you all for putting the decision in our hands.

I liked C because it finally finishes off the saturn ring style shoulder option they've had for years but no other pieces to match it. The boots and gloves look like they would be a nice compliment.

Posted

Chest detail from A, Rest from C, but I also like the idea of having the lines glow...

Posted

B.
all three would be nice, but since there seems to be a 'minimize new content' bent going... XD

I wish we could have C, with the glow option, and without the rings... but I voted for my best choice! Thanks so much for putting this up for a vote to the player base. Creating unique characters is why I play!!!

I'm voting for all of these before i read the thread. Voting for my definite preference and then seeing how my likes gel with the rest of the voters. 2 out of 3 so far

I like all of these suits tbh, but A pipped it because of the rings and the groovy chest piece.
