I generally take poison dart because it gives me a pull, and because it offers decent -regen, which works well against hard targets.

There was a short period, about 2 weeks right after the release of i19 if I remember properly, where it did stack. However, that was considered an exploit and was silently removed. It has not stacked since.

I have occasionally heard people refer to the concept of a tank mage (similar to Iron Man), High survivability with ranged attacks. And was wondering if the new Sorcery pool power is a good fit for that theme.
What I was looking at was KM as a secondary (Repulsing Torrent, and Focused Burst) with Energy Mastery (Laser Beam Eyes, and Energy Torrent). Mix in the two ranged attacks from the Sorcery Pool and you have a set of six ranged attacks.
Question, would this be a good fit for a character that has a similar feel for Iron Man, and how playable would this be? -

There are some bugs, but that's not one of them.
For example, try using an alpha recharge boost on a troller... Not complaining, it's still a great tool, just want it to be better. Would love it more if it were available on Android, but I'm not gonna push... -
What could be happening was there was a shift in mob perception levels a couple months ago. I can't remember when exactly, but I used to be able to run through caverns with Steamy Mist and that was sufficient to prevent aggro, then it was almost completely useless after a 'fix.'
So, it might not be a difference made to the power, but a difference to mob perception... -
I was actually just updating my Spines/Regen scrapper and taking a look at the build here, I like some things and dislike others, I am reworking my build and should have it up in a couple days to show you for extra input...

Only Stalker stealth suppresses auras.

The problem I see with a -res debuff is that, while it would be exceptionally valuable, it would increase the damage of other melee more than the damage of the tanker, leading to the possible loss of aggro control, which is what tankers are supposed to be.
I would suggest a twenty to thirty percent damage 45 degree arc splash through effect would be useful, although some people may hate tanks on dfb for it...
That being said, perhaps tankers just need tinkering. Higher innate aggro draw, a minor damage boost, and possibly a minor innate scalable buff when attacked of 0.2% def, 0.4% res, and 2% reg up to twenty targets in a 20ft radius. Give or take. It would round out defensive stacking a tad, help def sets, and if the aggro was scalable as well it would keep the focus on the tank. -

Get your Global Rech up there and grab the Soul PPP so you can run Shadow Meld + Moment of Glory + Shadow Meld for 45/s straight out of every 60/s (if you had to). 32.5% S/L (at least), Perma Dull Pain...
I think it would be put in better perspective if I said that my Regen can sit in Tyrant's Lightning Patch during the Magisterium. If you've run that, then I think the case is settled.
Vorpal Radial will offer you an extra 10s of defense every 90s. That being said, after 20s or so you should be survivable due to the -rech.

KD will give you better mileage, as it will work on most everything, the stun is too short to be meaningful. DT has a 75% chance of KD, and CK has 60% so they're not that unreliable, and you don't need a stack. And the stun for CS is 60% while the stun for TK is 10%. So they are less reliable. I would slot the proc into CK in order to change it from KB to KD, and to get the chance to proc. Furthermore, you can have a very nice high damage attack chain with those three DT>SK>CK>SK.

Here's a different approach, it takes a res focused approach to s/l with a def approach to e/n/ps and enough f/c to get you though, especially for ranged.
I have an empty spot in nado for the new kb->kd proc from the universal damage set. This will make nado one of the most damaging powers in the set with fantastic mitigation. For this reason I avoided your immobilizes as they will actually decrease your mitigation.
Spore burst is also a great move for keeping mob groups separated so that you don't end up with more than you can handle.

I tried to sort through it, but got too busy. I would suggest that there would have been a better way of doing this, that the idea is not a failure, just the lackluster execution. I would recommend that they should have posted two stickies in each of the AT forums. Build Exemplar thread (for buildbrags) and Build Help thread (for referencing build help threads).
The way it is, I understand why it went under, even though I tried to help it survive. -
I enjoy my CS-free build, but am doing a rebuild soon and am considering slotting it back in.
It is good as an opener, but I didn't like it in the attack chain, plus I put together this build before the mods to CS, so it wasn't as good back then... -
I took a different approach, went back to the drawing board, and took some of your ideas, and some of my own, and found places to add the recharge while also staying pretty close to softcap on E/N after I place the new universal damage set in DS.
The double aura plus AOE-centric attack chain GS>IS>SR>EotS (without break) should keep this toon as the center of mob attention, while not leaving me panting... Haven't run all the numbers, but thought I should share the monster y'all have helped create...

Point taken, looks like the new omni-damage set from the Summer Blockbuster might help this build out, if I can figure where to place it...
Edit: Rethinking the build overall, working on increasing E/N def while also increasing rech slightly. The irony is that if I can figure out a way to perma hasten, that would be sufficient recharge that I wouldn't need hasten... -

LSK, Your build seems a little weak to fire and ice, and I don't see the need for Rech to be so high.
C&E, I actually added DS into the build on the rebuild(fix), your build seems a little weak to fire and ice. I'll look at switching to an AoE approach.
DSorrow, interesting approach, looking at positional rather than typed defense, but I don't like the dependence on GS, again, I don't see the need for the high recharge.
I appreciate all of your efforts in encouraging and teaching me about tanking, I have never been a tank before, so have only worked on aggro accumulation via the punch-to-the-face method common among scrappers. I tried to incorporate the strengths of your different builds, while working off of my own, and thinking about the attack chain. I am currently looking at MB>GS>IS>EotS with DR thrown in when needed and available. I do have taunt in this build, but remember, this is more for solo than group so I have slotted appropriate to my playstyle. I have moved to sc on S/L/E/N with F/C almost there.
Again, I am new to almost all aspects of this toon, so feedback is appreciated.

Plus why did u not take Death Shroud? It is one of the things that u can have up to help you to keep aggro on you and it dose some damage to your enemy's. You didnt even take taunt to help you since you didnt take death shroud. Focus Accuracy which is a big end hog. Not to mention maneuvers which is another big end hog. I would of tooken CJ instead of maneuvers which is better on the end wise. DA is one of the few ATs for melee that has no KB protection, and most ppl use 8 to 12 KB protection since lot of the end game content has 8 or more KB, 7 is not helping u much there. It also looks like you r trying to go with positional, and typed def, pick one not both. Also you have hover on which will get u close to SC but I am not sure your going to be in hover mode all the time your fighting. Not to mention you are over slotted for res in dark embrace. Eye of the storm is one of the special attacks that works with staff mastery.
I actually did take CJ, and maneuvers. I shifted for another point of KB in this new build.
FA is just a mule to hold perception and S/L defense while unlocking PP. It should not have been turned on.
For defense I am going for typed, the positional is just an artifact of the other bonuses.
I'm used to fighting in hover, so that shouldn't be a problem.
As for EotS, I chose to focus on only using SS because I liked its effects better, and thought it was better to take one rather than both, especially since I am tight on power slots for this build.

I am working on a DA/Staff Tanker, and I am new to DA, Staff, and Tanking, so I am unsure whether this build will work the way I want it to.
I have put it together not to be a primary tanker for a group, but to be a resilient assist on damage that grabs enough aggro to support a group while still being able to work as a solo toon. Is there anything that I am missing, or any way to improve this toon in any way?
What strategies would you suggest in soloing or grouping with this toon?

For control, you forgot to mention the -end on Storm, which can be quite formidable in taking away enemies' ability to attack. Especially if you have any minor -end effect in your build.

I know, I was just being facetious... although my build is pretty badash... The build I have in this thread is equally as such...
