So, I'm working on a StJ/Nin Batgirl-type build, and I'm slotting "normally," I think, and when I check "View Totals" I see this:

So...apparently it was Hide giving that huge AoE defense bonus. Good to know. So, basically, I should build to softcap without Hide. Got it. Thanks, me!

I'd suggest going in to configuration -> effects and math -> suppression and checking the "attacked" box. That will make everything show in-combat values.

Just in case, its nearly the same with every stealth, not that huge but under stealth u got more def.
To avoid this "wrong" numbers u can go under:
Options >> Configuration >> Effects & Maths and there u check under Suppressions "Attacked"

Edit: to slow

There are some bugs, but that's not one of them.

For example, try using an alpha recharge boost on a troller... Not complaining, it's still a great tool, just want it to be better. Would love it more if it were available on Android, but I'm not gonna push...

Thanks to Garent and MasterofCeremony. The attackable check box was exactly what I needed. Not being able to see the effects of Hide in combat was annoying as heck.

The huge AOE defense bonus while hidden is to prevent you being knocked out of Hide by AOEs that are targeting someone else.
