Stun or Knockdown

I am running a MA/Shield in DA. I am not noticing my stacking stuns from EC and CS really disabling enemies much. Are people seeing good use from knockdown? I am considering trying Crane Kick with the knockdown set from the Summer Blockbuster but I am unsure how many DA mobs are susceptible to knockdown.

Most of them are KD/KD at least KOV and BP. Headsplitter Disembowel and Shield Charge all cause KU/KD when I'm soloing.

Thing is Crane Kick is a chance of KB so it's not going to be consistent.

KD will give you better mileage, as it will work on most everything, the stun is too short to be meaningful. DT has a 75% chance of KD, and CK has 60% so they're not that unreliable, and you don't need a stack. And the stun for CS is 60% while the stun for TK is 10%. So they are less reliable. I would slot the proc into CK in order to change it from KB to KD, and to get the chance to proc. Furthermore, you can have a very nice high damage attack chain with those three DT>SK>CK>SK.

DA enemies are so vulnerable to knock. Ravagers are like giant teddy bears, it takes them like six seconds to get up and they don't have any protection whatsoever. The rest of 'em aren't quite that ineffectual but it is a really solid way to deal with problem enemies. That Keres looking scary? Not once she's ragdolled. Conqueror about to MoG? Not once she's ragdolled.

That said, it is important to note that crane kick isn't exactly a power that you control x8 spawns with. In terms of shutting down specific enemies when used intelligently and at the correct moment, though, it's easily superior to cobra strike in DA since you don't also have oppressive gloom.

In martial arts, I don't think it's going to make worlds of difference, but on a larger scale, say in an AOE that will always KB or always stun, I'd go with knockdown over KD.

But, in some cases, both have problems where they can be counter-productive. KD turns into KB if you out-level your opponent, and stun, if the duration is very long will cause the enemies to wander out of melee range, so I guess those bear keeping in mind.
