Skipping Concentrated Strike?
why would you want to skip the ability to insta rech build up? lol
CS for stalkers insta rech build up with a crit, which is guarenteed from hide
my kin melee stalker currently has some major dps by doing BU+CS->BU+AS
if i get some higher rech then i could do a CS after the AS since i have the chance to hide stalker ATO in AS

CS insta recharges build up (or power siphon for scrappers) on a crit
stalkers have the advantage of having a 100% chance to crit from hidden status so its very easy to plan out when you will get BU back
this also makes placate on kin melee stalker MUCH more useful than for other stalker powersets
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

I enjoy my CS-free build, but am doing a rebuild soon and am considering slotting it back in.
It is good as an opener, but I didn't like it in the attack chain, plus I put together this build before the mods to CS, so it wasn't as good back then...
Yes. The 'wave your hands in the air like you don't care' animation made my spirit ninja's soul hurt. He got along fine.
I've never skipped it, and I wouldn't think of doing so, either. Concentrated Strike already has really high DPAT, and the buildup recharge ability is always a plus.
What I do is take advantage of concentrated strike's recharging ability. Build up, at a 90 second recharge, is always going to take longer than Concentrated Strike (20 second recharge), requiring 450% recharge rate in Build up and not in concentrated strike to break even. Rather, what would be a better move is to only 1-slot Build Up with a recharge (or to-hit boosters), and instead rely on the ATO proc and/or Placate and CS to continually recharge Build Up. This frees up a few slots for whatever you might need.

That was part of my reason. My Kin Scrapper has an explanation for the animation, but it makes no sense for my Stalker. Darn you. Now I'm thinking about just taking the DPS hit.

Amusingly enough, Scrappers are the ones who don't actually need Concentrated Strike.

i had a claw/dark stalker who was fun to play, but i ended up deleting him cause eviscerate was not a cone like with brute and scrapper and that annoyed my greatly so i rerolled as a brute that was claw/invuln lol

I still wish they'd give Eviscerate back some splash damage, and/or some splash KD a la the new Propel to give it a taste of what Ripper does.
Any Kinetic Melees every done this? With Assassin's Strike being such a strong attack now, it seems like with a very high recharge build, that Concentrated Strike isn't necessary.
