i just got this off the titans page...Today a 31 page pitch package aimed at persuading Disney Interactive to acquire City of Heroes arrived for both the CEO of Disney Productions and the CEO of Disney Interactive via Express Mail.

Ammon, Rae, Quinch and I--Internet Marketing Specialist, UK Journalist, Senior IT Tech and writer--put together a 31 page pitch package aimed specifically at Disney, to attempt to persuade the Mouse that picking up City of Heroes is in their best interest as well as ours. We had the advice and oversight of two senior members of the former Paragon Studios team--mostly to tell us what we could and could not say. Should there be an answer, it should be directed to Brian Clayton, the Paragon Studios manager, since we specified that we four had no power to do anything, and he is the man with all the answers.

    Now it's your turn.

We have to impress the 900 lb gorilla--The Mouse himself--that buying the City is going to be good for them. We have to show them that we are loyal, passionate, dedicated, and mature. And we have money to spend. Remember, these are executives who are not impressed if genuine movie stars approach them with a pitch for something less than amazing.

We have to show the Mouse that in the right hands, City of Heroes can become the crown jewel among their electronic games.

so am i really to believe this is done by people who "love" the game? disney? seriously? surely there has to be someone else to go to...we all know exactly how disney will screw the game up...pirates of the carribean was loaded with spyware...i personally had a trojan pop up from the installer...and that is on the light side of what can be expected from them...this is a really bad idea...find someone else...
  2. so will sentinel+ save your base info as well? plan b is a rather nice base...and although i could make a new base, (in the event that the game will actually remain playable in the unforeseen future), it would be nice if our bases were preserved as well.

screenies are a great way to remember what a costume looks like...unfortunately they won't have any information on how many, or what badges you have, what member you are an sg of, ect. which would be pretty handy information to have in the event the game is actually allowed to continue...

For example: The Triage set provides +4% to Regeneration when two enhancements from the set are slotted in the same power. So a character can slot five Triage sets and get +4% from each, totaling +20% to their Regeneration. However if they slot a sixth Triage set, the bonus will not be applied...
lemme see if i'm understanding what you are saying...a bonus will stack five times...but if the same bonus is attempted to be stacked a sixth time...you will lose them all? is that what you are saying?

but i downloaded the lastest drivers for my nvidia9500gt card from nvidia and everytime i uninstall my old drivers and reboot windows7 downloads and installs the same old driver from Windowsupdate. i clicked the option to skip downloading from windowsupdate but it still does it anyway and installs the same driver i uninstalled.
any help here and i would be thankful.

i just read your post...what i've been doing when installing new nvidia drivers is to run it as a clean install, then let the software restart my system...yes, you will have to go through the angst of resetting your video settings...but when i do it that way, i end up with the latest drivers installed, a better knowledge of the latest bells and whistles the software provides, and CoH giving me the go-ahead to play. on a side-note, if you are needing the latest drivers for your 9500 and you are running win7x64, you can get them here...http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/44967...oh and before i forget...your image is too cool.
  6. on a side note...you can right click a plot then click info and have a window to compare capacities from the plot you have to the one you are thinking about buying...the depressing thing is that for the largest plot...you can still only have two control items...which is a bummer because the supercomputer and it's arcane equivalent just look cool...and you would think that for a larger plot you could have more storage and what not...how do we let them know?
  7. i had two transporter rooms at one time...i now have one room...six transporters with four beacons for five of them...and two beacons for number six...i did it that way just to fill out the room...they work fine "D
  8. what kat said...current room is also handy when suddenly an item you were trying to place, or adjust simply dissappears...click current room and scroll all the way to the end of the list...then hover from room to room until you find the annoying li'll sucker...then sell...which is the easiest course of action...or go through the angst of dragging said item back to the room you want it in...
  9. i have the echo of dark astoria..then promptly went to dark astoria...collected every exploration badge on the map...an no beacon appeared...the long and short of it is...well, i really have no idea...but the images show up on the pocket d beacon now...so i guess that's a plus...sort of...

  11. i'm just getting into base building and i would like to know how i go about getting the hacked teleporters...i've checked pwik...but no luck...help?
  12. pistol a is a cleaner look...perhaps a little more detail could be slick...but for a ray pistol...clean goes a long way....perhaps a little something more complimentary to ray rifle c...just sayin...they look a little more official as ray weapons...the rest of the ray pistols look like something you find in a toy store....that short pistol looks like a water gun...but they have a buck rogers kinda flare...not sure if i like it....in some applications yeah..if you are going for a more retro look...but on the whole...i only liked a...
  13. pack a definitely...pack b? just didn't like it as well...pack c is straight up lame....sorry, just callin' em as i see em....is there any chance you guys could pull off a jetpack that looks like the bond pack from "from russia with Love?" something like that would be the best idea for a jet-pack ever...in my opinion of course
  14. i had to vote for suit a....the chest box rules and is a classic...suit b is by far the better suit...but the glow lines belong on suit c....but suit c looks like the crey tech set...just sayin...
  15. the bubble helmet is a cool idea...if it could be customizable like the jar helmet in the Halloween costume set...that would be the best idea...

Any tips on that? Can it be petitioned? Or is it lost forever (along with one of my table slots for that room, since with enhancements in it, it can't be sold)?
when that happens to me...and it has...i click current room...if you just added the item...scroll to the end of the list and click it and the item will highlight...if you were moving something around that already existed...then you will have to click items till you find it...you can move into an artificial wall while in edit mode and find the offensive object...grab it...scroll out with your mouse wheel to get a visual of the base, and if it will move...drag it to the floor and let go...if you get the alert telling you it wont unstack..drag the item to the nearest convenient room that will accept it and let it go there...then click on it after it spawns in that room and drag it back for another try...

    Modern Beds?

is something going to be done about the examination tables for the base medbays? the tech beds look stained, and what in the wide world of sports are the restraints about? that just ain't right...and the arcane bed...ok that's just gross...and again...those restraints...why can't we have examination beds like they do in the hospitals? now those look decent...by the way...i love the way you guys have made beds...i hope you don't mind if i "borrow" that ;D

i would keep it...the echo of galaxy city is handy for getting the exploration badges...but there is another nifty thing...take the tram out of galaxy and arrive in ouroboros...not sure if it works for a character under level 25...but while you are in 'boros...fly up and become a keeper of the secret...just a thought...

I have a "Autonomous Expert System" in my existing control room "Communication Center". I'm trying to move it to the new control room "Secure Comm Center" which is completely empty.

The ceiling, walls and floor height are all maxed out and are wide open so there is nothing in the new control room to obstruct.

But it won't let me move it, it just keeps saying "Item will be placed at closest valid location."

What could I be doing wrong, any ideas?
when i get that i check to see if there is anything like a banner or a light or something that could be conflicting with a potential doorway....if something is in the way of a door, or where a door should go...the room wont place...
  21. ok...i've just started building a base...i've read about hacked telepads...now i want one...or at least four...but that's not the point...what does it take to get one? basic work table...check...prestige for days...check...enough power and control? who knows...all i do know is that it is not listed as a crafting option on the basic work table....so what does it take to get it?

To place an item on top of a desk, place it on the ground near the desk. Use shift+click+drag to move it up the vertical height of the desk, and then use ctrl+click+drag to move it on to the desk. Hope this helps!
that helps greatly...thank you very much...
  23. where do i find it...how can i get it...no, ftp://ftp.coh.com/ does not work...is there a download site...do i have to convert the .oog...where do i find a converter...help?
  24. is anyone using the logitech dual controller? it's gotten frustrating trying to map it so it works with some kind of fluidity...and trimming is tedious...perhaps someone has some tips...or when i get it all figured out, i'll provide tips...
