Retro Sci Fi Costume Set: Space Suits! - Vote for what we make!
I'd like the Blinkenlightzen box Chest Detail to be an independently selectable option, no matter which set wins. That way, you can add it if you want to use it, or not. It'd work fine on A, B, or C.

C, to me FEELS more of a retro sci-fi vibe. The rings on the boots and gloves are astounding and something we've needed. But I feel, in order for this to be a complete set, some options from A and B need to be included.
From A, that chest detail, it could be used across the board with a myriad of other parts currently in game, not to mention for a mere bare chest model. The simplistic pattern I like as well, and hope that if it has been conceptualized by the character modelling crew that it be utilized for something else. I like it, it needs to be in game, just not here.
From B, having the shoulder options and the glow as an optional detail are paramount. I think it lends towards a more modern sci-fi with that glow. Also, not everyone will like the tapered shoulders, and the accordion pieces do fir that better.
C I found no faults in and I feel best accomplishes what this pack is supposed to be, so it won my vote. But know that one costume alone does not a set make, it's all about the options.

Now, I'm going to be honest and say up front that I voted for C. However,...I feel, in order for this to be a complete set, some options from A and B need to be included.

Therefore, the trick is in picking the ONE set that best captures the chosen theme, and fortunately, you guys will be helping us do that on this one. We're putting the "wisdom of the crowd" to the test, and I'm really interested to see which options you all choose.

So now you guys know how we feel. The reality of game development is that it takes a LOT of time for a 3D artist to model all this stuff out, texture it, add all the modern bells-and-whistles that players expect, and finally, get everything into the system. So while it's easy for me to concept a billion ideas, it's never possible to make ALL of them in 3D.

EDIT: I don't mean we should be voting on a piece by piece basis, that leaves too much room for it not to look like a cohesive set, but it'd be nice for the "Suit" (Chest layer and Pants) to be separate from the Gloves/Boots.
Honestly, the fact that these are presented wholesale, as a single choice for the entire set, as opposed to more of a piecemeal approach leaves too much room for exactly what's been happening in this thread -- "I like the boots from C and the Chest from A and the Pants from RXQYZ."

Definitely better to vote broadly; it'll make it easier for us to offer this unprecedented level of choice again in the future.

Ahh this costume set, my body isn't ready... On the broad side I definitely vote C.

Voted A though it seems like it's the least popular. That chest detail is the very definition of retro. And I want to see it with blinkies.
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
I'm sure you realize that it's a logistical challenge to even allow voting at all.

The fact of the matter is that all three sets of Gloves/Boots (Note that I group Gloves/Boots together, since they share very specific looks) work about equally well with any of the "suits" so having them assigned to only one of the specific options is itself pretty limiting.
I voted B, because that's the set that I like the most pieces from, but honestly my favorite pieces are the Gloves and Boots from C, where I opted not to vote for C because I actually dislike the "Suit" portion.
EDIT: Again, I'm not trying to sound negative, I'll be perfectly happy with B. I'd just always be a bit sad about not getting my favorite parts.
I went for C as most retro, even though I like the idea of glowy piping. that isnt really Buck/Lost.. the others seemed more 60/70 programs to me...wait..I mean reruns yeah

I voted for C because I liked the boots and gloves the best.
B looked a lot like the Stealth set we already have (sans "glowie bits"), so could achieve that same look with what we have, then also have a shiny new suit that isn't like anything else at all.
************************************************** ***************
Can I put a "vote" in for blinky, glowing buttons that never seemed to have any purpose at all, but were are on all the spacesuit costumes of that era?
A is fairly plain, much like tights options we already have. B is likewise very similar to existing options. They're perfectly fine, but we can already make costumes like them with our existing options.

Out of curiosity, are you announcing this in the Gmotd? Because you really should. To get more than the forum going populace.

Most of the time I never see GMOTD updates. Every once in a while, a couple days late, I'll occasionally have one pop up if I'm alting. But never EVER on first logon.
I voted for B cause I'm partial to glowie stuff...plus I was looking for boots exactly like that the other day...simple streamlined and glowie. BUT I like C's overall style more.
Even if C wins, please consider something like the boots in B. we need a non clunky, boot that has the glowie stuff in a straight line. IDF is very much like that except for the boots...too big and clunky. Celestial is too round to go with the rest i would love a smaller tech looking boot with the glowie to go with the rest if IDF. Please add something in that style to the game if you can!
Two points:
1) It seems like alot of people may be voting for B just because it's labelled as glowing, which is kind of silly because of the three of them it looks the least "retro sci-fi".
2) Please, please, PLEASE, for the love of all that is holy, if you absolutely MUST do something with a glow to it, ADD AN OPTION FOR NON-GLOWING VERSION. If B wins and you absolutely cannot make a second body suit from this poll, then include one that doesn't glow so those of us who don't want to look like a christmas tree can do so. On the other hand, I'd really like to see C make it, but if it does I'd like the basic one presented as well as an option that has the rings glow so that we have the option if we'd like.
This baked in glow in alot of new stuff is really starting to get irritating when you aren't offering us a non-glowing version of anything without choosing black as the color for the glowing portion. It really limits our color choices for these pieces. The Imperial Defense gloves could be a million times more versatile if we had a non-glow version so we could mix and match them with different colors and include them in costumes with non-glowing parts. Same goes for any and everything that has glowy bits. Please keep this in mind going forward: Glowing parts are nice and shiny and pretty and good, but if you make a piece with it, you really should give us a non-glowing one. Also, labelling one of these options as glowing has, it seems, pretty much tipped the scales irreparably in favor of that piece over the others despite the fact that it really doesn't look as "retro" as the other two.
I went B, because that shoulder ribbing is so emblematic of the period. Even with the stock-standard silver spacesuits (holy alliteration, Batman!), there were always touches like that along with the boots and gloves. I'm always thinking how you can mix and match and there's a lot to mix and match with here.

Torn between B and C, but voted C. If C wins, I'd be awesome to get ring-less versions of the boots and gloves!
Man this is a tough choice. I would go for a mixture of B and C but I guess if I must choose, I did. =P
I choose B. I like the boots and the gloves on that selection the best, and glow is never bad, provided we have some control over it.

Hard choice, but I think I'll go with B. I like the metallic look of C, but I think glowing in space would be more practical.
