Devastation, Decimation, etc for sets and the Roman Pack. Only thing exclusive according to the detailed information is the bow.

Also the Roman pack is only available till last day of Feb.

I'll definitely be grabbing the Roman pack. I dislike Cimerora in general, and any use I'd have for the pieces would generally start at level 1.

Same here. I absolutely hated that I had to wait until level 35, and the annual Spring Fling before I could create a damn costume for a character concept.

This and the upcoming Spring Fling pack are welcome additions to my costume repetoire.

Do the togas and such come with the pack as well as the armor?

The togas are not part of the Roman stuff, the togas are part of the valentine's event.

No, they're not included.

Aren't the togas a part of the Spring Fling pack or whatever they're gonna call it, which should be released sometime in February?

Sweet! I've been waiting for the Roman pack for a long time. I don't necessarily want the clothes, but the weapons and shields are definite must-haves. Maybe now the Spirit of Light will be more fun to play when he has a better sword.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Sam, but the Roman pack (inexplicably) doesn't contain the Roman weapons, other than the bow. :/

Dissapointed about the lack of weapons, but manI am loving being able to use the roman parts at level 1.

I was just looking at the Roman shields and none of the damn textures work. This had better be a bug cuz I'm sure people will be pissed if it isn't.

More sets..I just spent a bunch of my gold on sprucing up my Fire/Shield scrap and I don't begrudge a single dime of RL money spent as I feel like I am helping the game out as well as creating a survivable toon..but...more sets..wow.

Ultimus, did you see any Performance Shifters?

I dont care to wait till lvl 35 for the Roman armor.
I always run ITF a couple of times for each character to help leveling.
So, saving points again but nice to see people like to buy it.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...

Forget it, then. No weapons, no purchase. I bust my *** campaigning for a weapons pack, and when a pack finally does come out which could unlock weapons THAT I'D GLADLY PAY FOR, it doesn't. That sucks, and I'm not gonna' buy it. Same as with the Circle of Thorns pack.

I have a new rule: If a pack excludes things it really has no reason to exclude, then it's not worth buying. It it my profound hope my choice to not buy this pack will reflect on some beancounter's spreadsheet and maybe get the point across.

The Vanguard pack had no problem including all the Vanguard weapons, and was worth owning pretty much for that sole reason. If the Roman pack excludes the weapons, then it's not worth owning for this reason, as well.

It's a good deal for those who would like to have those costume options at lvl 1.

Personally, I don't think I'll likely use those costume sets, so I didn't buy them, and if I do need them, I have no problem waiting to level 35 to get them.

However, I did buy Cupid's Bow. No other way I know of, of getting it in game. So while I'm not liking to make an archery toon without some alternate animations that make the set look more like DP than stand there and just fire arrows, I did want that option in case new animations occured, or I some how changed my mind on the set.

60points.

Also bought 2 Positron Blast sets. Check out the prices, was cheaper for me to buy the sets than just buy 5 of the set.

But I bought them because I exemp. For that reason, I find them useful

I've been considering subbing for a month when i22 comes. Decisions like this make me think I might be best off saving that £8.99, as why reward stupidity?

Include the damn weapons, don't scrimp over stuff like this and earn yourself some respect and points/pounds spent.

Wondering just how Paragon Studios can keep making silly, petty decisions,

Zortel.

I'm going to have to side with Zortel.

When I'd heard of the Roman pack, I expected the weapons. I have several characters that would benefit from this and it would have been an easy, automatic purchase for me.

Now, I don't think I'm going to get it, especially if the shields are borked on their first day on the market.

C'mon PS/BP. Stop nickel and diming us with smaller sets like this. You know what we want. Just get ALL the roman gear to us; not with some goofy cupid's bow.

Yes. Price it accordingly if you feel it should be extra to get the weapons, but include all the gear.

Alternatively, offer two sets: the partial and the complete, and price them accordingly.

When you go F2P, the idea is that the market and demand will provide the profits. If folks want to buy the weapons, you should let them buy the weapons.

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

You know what MIGHT get me to buy this set, by the way? If it came with the shoulders Romulus has. You know what I'm talking about - the set of two shoulders like the larger one of the Gladiator shoulders set, with some fur trim on them. Sell me THOSE and I might consider getting the pack.

*edit*
I'm talking about these shoulders:

Why have these shoulders not shown up anywhere ever at all? Hell, why haven't we ever seen a set that's exactly like the Gladiator shoulder, but with two large ones instead of a large and a small shoulder? Sell me THAT and I'd buy it!

*edit*
And again, if it seems like there's too much stuff for just one set, then sell the armour pieces in one set, the the weapons and shields in another.

Amen! I might buy the Bow individually, but if everything else can be unlocked in game then I'll just do that.

While I have been wanting many parts of the Roman armour on new characters, I am disappointed that the pack does not include the weapons also. I would hope this may be due to them releasing a future pack with all unlockable weapons, but this would've been a good oppertunity for such.

That's what I'm thinking. I really want to give them my money and be able to use the roman armor from lvl 1 as it really improves some looks, but if they didn't give us the weapons then I'm going to pass. I'll buy the bow as it's a time-limited exclusive. I might buy the shields too because there are some very nice shields in the roman line, but I'm not going to give them full price for what feels like an incomplete set. I'll nickle and dime them right back.

I'm disappointed the weapons didn't make it in. On the one hand, if I'm ever going to use these pieces, I feel like this would be a good pack to buy, because I never really see a point to the theme after I've already played a character 35+ levels. On the other, paying full price for an incomplete pack doesn't sit particularly well with me either. Hmmm...

As crushing and stupid as it is that the Roman Weapons AREN'T including in the chuffing ROMAN pack, i've bought pretty much everything on the store, so I have a healthy collection of swords..

Now axes, that's another thing altogether ..

Disappointing, but i'll still buy it. I use the Roman helmets and shoulders for just about everything.

I was doing some playthroughs of City of Heroes. Now they will serve as memories of a better time ...

devil's advocate

if they could not include everything for the price, the weapons are the least useful thing as only weapon powersets use them. I would rather have all of the clothes without the weapons then include the weapons and not some of the clothes.
