Flambeaux has been levelling up all that time and never makes it any further than the c-list. I mean, she's Blast Furnace's arch-nemesis, which is just embarassing for both of them.

So if you wanna go by introduction, Flambeaux's been a hero for longer, and failing a lot longer.

At least I can claim a point for accuracy on the issue number as, although CoV released with Issue 6, mayhem missions weren't added until Issue 7.
Precisely. I've had a tendency to get Flambeaux a lot whenever running that particular mayhem. She's still as terrible a fighter now as she was then.

Fusionette wins, because in my experience, she actually has proven useful.

I didn't know Flambaeux was in since then... I've never heard of her till the Galaxy City got destroyed issue and I'm pretty sure she is introduced as new, but i could be misremembering... If what I'm remembering is the case then the mayhem missions could be seen as ouroboros missions for her or something like that? or maybe she just accidentally got added or something.

With Going Rogue they added more personality to the Rogue's Gallery - previously these characters, who dated back to Issue 7, were just costumes, brief bios, and maybe a line or two before you pounded their face in. With Going Rogue a ton of these one-offs got fleshed out in the tip missions, and then with the new tutorial Flambeaux made it even further up in stature to a full speaking role. Continuity's time frame is weird in MMO content, but the point at which you meet her in Twinshot's first arc (level 5-10) is the same level range that she shows up in the Mayhem mission (and in the same zone no less), and it's before her turn to evil (which doesn't happen until after level 30, iirc).

Her continuity is level 1-50 style, not 2005-2012 style.

At level 5 she's a new hero, she joins a supergroup and tries to fend off a new villain robbing Atlas Park bank, by level 50, she's turned evil in her desperate quest for attention.

She's had the bank robbery part of the story since Issue 7, the turning evil part got added with Going Rogue and her early supergroup shenanigans were added with Issue 21.
As the issues have passed, her story hasn't "progressed" but has instead been fleshed out where it was lacking. Each time you make a new character, her story restarts anew for that character.

Main Hero: Mazey - level 50 + 1 fire/fire/fire blaster.
Main Villain: Chained Bot - level 50 + 1 Robot/FF Mastermind.

BattleEngine - "And the prize for the most level headed response ever goes to Mazey"

wait... she goes evil , really?

Yep, from the sounds of things, you need to do more alignment tip missions, that's where most of her story lies.

Both of them would walk into eachother and fall over.

Until they killed off Neuron she'd just ignore them and take a nap. Successfully.

On Paragon Wiki, Flambeaux is listed under Paragon Heroes (NPC heroes who try to stop player villains during Mayhem Missions), Rogues Gallery (NPCs featured in tip missions who tend to change their alignment between hero and villain over their course) and Shining Stars (hero group from the tutorial missions). It's actually kinda weird for some of us who've been playing since Issue 18, because we saw her eventual descent into villainy before we got to know her as a clueless still-wet-behind-the-ears hero.

I agree that Fusionette would win. She packs some mega-knockback, and I just like her better.

Fusey is well-written, and despite seeking aggro like a Fire Imp on 'Dyne, she has proven to be rather endearing. (It did not hurt that Lady Jane showed up and made Fusey look positively cautious by comparison. )

Flambeaux probably deserves more pity than scorn, but I defer to Sister Flame, my favorite Fire Blaster:

Getting whipped repeatedly by "Takes Care of Pets" will get Bad Horse to revoke your invitation pretty much immediately, wouldn't you say? Poor Flambeaux. Shoulda hung in there with Dillo.

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

Becky the Tarantula Mistress is awesome though. Doubly so if you know how to make her walk and talk at the same time (same goes for Infernia. If you have a buff that alters the target's animation, such as Forge or Chrono Shift, the target begins to walk and talk, rather than standing around chatting to no one).

I don't know who'd win, but let me know when the match is scheduled and I'll show up with a video camera.

I used to fiddle with my back feet music for a black onyx. My entire room absorbed every echo. The music was . . . thud like. The music was . . . thud like. I usually played such things as rough-neck and thug. Opaque melodies that would bug most people. Music from the other side of the fence.

We could put this to the test in Dr. Aeon's over-glorified hero chicken-fighting simulator.

Only... Flambeaux caps at 10 and Fusionette floors at 35.

(Add me to the Fusionette supporters).

Going for Flambeaux. At 50, she is pretty nasty (and has a nemesis clone of herself). Also, next time you see Fusionette fighting at 50 in a mission, watch her blue bar. She flatlines after about 3 seconds. No stamina that girl

hasn't anyone made this into an AE story yet?

Well, I wouldn't call it evil. Diet evil. Evil lite. Zero calories, not evil enough. She hangs out with Freakshow a bunch, and whines about how people don't give her the attention she feels she deserves, in the manner in which she deserves it. To call her "evil plans" a cavalcade of amateur hour shenanigans is doing them too much credit.

The high level villain and rogue tips with Flambeaux are really funny, though. It's like you're more than a bit embarassed to even be in the same zone with her.

As was mentioned - nope.
Not only here since mayhem's, but was a major element of the Going Rogue release as her entire story in that has her side switching from hero to villain....

Edit: and, oh, Fusionette. No contest.

re-edit: Man, I just didn't read far enough...

I haven't played a lot of alignment story stuff...

Still... now I think a Fusionette and Flambeaux story arc would be awesome...
