What is your next Tank, and why are you making it?

I just can't stop playing Tanks. I just always like to be the fighter types, and though I like brutes and scrappers, I almost always end up with a Tank.

Just finished my Shield/SS tank, finishing up my Fire/Kin Melee, now trying to decide what's next and looking for ideas.

Maybe Mace this time? Haven't done that, or something else ... What are you making next, and why?

My latest tank is a little flying insect-themed girl. She has super reflexes and hover, so the premise is that she's too small and fast to get hit.

My next tank will be a living statue brought to life by magic.

Either Elec/MA for a nice combination of recharge, resists, defence and face-kicking, or, Inv/TW because I have an interesting RP concept for just such a build.

You haven't done Dark/Mace yet--or any Dark tanks that I can see--you should try it, it's a great combo.

Though my sig doesn't reflect it, my Dark/Mace my most recent 50 tank. My next highest is a 40-something Shield/Electric, but I also and a 30-something Ice/Axe and a 20-something Fire/Kin, plus several others. Too many tanks and not enough time!

P.S. My next new one will probably be a SR/MA since I tried that combo on Beta and liked it, but SJ looks tempting too...

My current project is an Elec/Ma for the great resists and Ma letting be practically softcap melee, range, and aoe defense without relying on purples.

Mainly wanted something to contrast with my Ice/Ice tank and I'm quite satisfied with the results. Just a few levels from 50 and Maneuvers/Weave, which will put my defense in the ~30% range pre-Storm Kick.

My next tank will be SR/StJ. The reasons are:
1) I have already taken every other armor set to 50.
2) My concept demanded an unarmed combat set and I have already taken SS and MA to 50.

So, process of elimination put me there.

I'll be making a Titan Weapons Tanker when the set hits Live. I was going to go with a Brute, but in Beta I found I didn't like the way the set played with Fury (oddly, I think the set would work pretty well with Stalkers, but they're not getting it).

I'm leaning heavily towards Electric Armor to pair with it.

I don't know if I have a next tank. I like my inv/axe and dark/dark enough that rather than level another one, I'm more likely to play one of those two.

I'm thinking about making a Fiery Aura/Battle Axe tanker that is actually a Fiery Aura/Fiery Melee tanker that skips the three Fire Sword powers and uses a Ghost Slaying Axe.

Currently (and slowly) working on DA/EM stun master. It is a min/max toon - maximizing stuns and fun for a minimal investment

More of an amuzing idea that turned into a concept build. My other tanks are definitely "better" that this one, but I enjoy leveling him the most.

My most recent is a elec/axe tank, i tried several elec/ tanks (SS, KM, fiery and elec) but couldnt really find a nice secondairy set. As i already have a inv/axe and axe really gives that 'whooomp' feeling, decided to give this set a try, kinda based on my BS/elec brute.

Nice to see a few more Electric/Martial Arts tanks in the works. It's a combination that really works on tanks, with the high resistances and the defence boost from Storm Kick. And the damage aura standing in for the lack of area damage when you can happily pile 20 orange minions around you without even considering your health bar. And Power Sink to help with martial Arts endurance heavy attacks. I'm really enjoying this combination, I cant recommned it enough.
A Martial Arts/Elec Scrapper just wouldn't be the same.

My next "tank" will probably be a Street Justice/Regen Brute. I know it's not a real Tank, but I want to try something new, and Regeneration just sounds like it would suit Brutes really well. Lots of endurance to feed Fury, the most HP you can get (so far) on a Regenerator. That, and I've never got a Brute to 50.

My only tanker is shield/mace, and I have loved it. Will ding 50 next time I log in. I have never felt squishy, even when exemping from the mid-30s to fight level 50 content. The AoE and aggro-magnetness is great between AAO and Shield Bash in the primary and Whirling Mace, Crowd Control, and Shatter in the secondary.

Still waiting to see survivability on incarnate content...

I just made SR/MA, simply because I had a concept of an urban street monk who is calm, cool and collected in a fight (i.e a Tanker).

I am also considering Ice/Fire, since I dont have an ice tank, and I have thought about making ice/fire many times in the past but never did.

No new tanks in my immediate future, since my last tanker project, an OMG extreme stone/ss/elec, is only about 90 percent done. Once I finish that, I might start another a few months down the road.

With the new Incarnate powers coming, with another buff for Resist-based toons, I might work up an elec/martial arts tanker. That could be VERY interesting.

Or maybe I'll dust off my ancient dark/dark. I never could make that combo work for me, but the new Incarnate stuff and Tanker sets has me re-looking that concept again.

Or maybe I'll finish up my elec/stone. What a monster.....

Or maybe I'll work up my wp/fire. Has some serious potential, that toon does....
