What is your next Tank, and why are you making it?

I'm (slowly) leveling an Ice/Stone tank mostly because it fit my concept, but also because of primary/secondary synergy. Ice is great for end management and a little weaker on mitigation than other sets. Stone has a reputation for being end hungry but comes with excellent active mitigation from stun/hold/kd.

I am a bit late onto this thread. I decided to make another fire/fire/pyre, only I made it differently than my others. It is already 50 but not finished yet, I got Cardiac, dropped consume in favour of more single target damage. Built up as much defense and recharge as I could, so far the thing has been an animal and I am loving it.

As for my next tank... Titan Weapons and probably Invulnerbility. I want to make a big mean looking tank who 'knows' he's gonna get the job done, even if it means chewing through wall after wall of enemies Muhahahaha

I really wasn't sure what tank I was going to make next, until I wandered over to beta to play with Titan Weapons. I'd created a tank on beta to test Street Justice back when we first could test it. Once I saw the toon on beta again I remembered how much I'd liked it. So I'm the owner of a shiny new Inv/StJ tank.

Might do SR/Staff or Shield/Staff if they allow the pairing. But this is only if the stafff set is given to stalkers as well. I made up my mine that I will not buy another melee set if it excludes stalkers. Its not that it will be good on stalkers its just the principal of it.

After testing Titan Weapons for 20 minutes on Beta, I formally change my answer to Inv/TW. I like it.

I've a concept in mind for Ice/TW, but since I don't use the test server (I prefer to use the time I do have to play one of my many alts), I've no clue if the pairing will work, so I'm waiting to hear some player feedback on the sets viability and synergy. I've also got a Shield/Ice concept in mind, but he'll have to wait until I get a few more alts up the porverbial ladder.

WP/Ice...because when was the last time you saw one? Came up with a fun concept and I like atypical builds. Kind of tired of the uber brute farming builds, so I went with a tank.

My friend has a FA/SS tanker and he plays him like a regionally famous wrestler from the south in the 1980s. I'm going to make another wrestler tank SR/StJ so we can tag in/out (/em slap) on AVs and challenge people to posedowns in Atlas Park.

Then Inv/TW most likely.

The guy I'm most interested in playing at the moment is my newest Shield/Street Justice tanker. Loads of fun, relatively high defences without much set IO investment, and the StJ animations and sound effects are so incredibly satisfying. Its quite the Endurance hog, though, especially when running the Fighting pool toggles as well. I'm frequently combining Inspirations into those little blue pills

Next up will either be Inv/TW or SR/TW, going for a natural barbarian look. Thank goodness they just came out with the Barbarian costume set

Elec/Titan. I just want something that is tough and endurance efficient enough to let me have fun swinging my giant hammer willy-nilly.

Ive got an Ice/Stone currently at 43 and having heaps of fun.
This tank has lots of mitigation with 2x KB (KU) powers and -rech.

Also has effectively 2x Damage aura's with Icicles and Chilling Embrace (CE by itself doesnt do damage but Ive slotted it with the Impeeded Swiftness %Dam proc).

Killing tough targets does take time but in groups is awesome


Id love a EA/ Tank when they proliferate that set (please with TW).

Now the question for my Inv/TW tanker becomes: what titan weapon model do I give a giant bipedal rhinoceros samurai (name: Samurhinoceros)?

Kanabo doesn't look to be an option, so I'm thinking axe or sword.

I must say my favorite is DM/ELEC/MU and then maybe ICE/FIRE.

As for what is next...maybe Dark/Titan
