It is similarly likely that they will do nothing but minor band-aid fixes, but wouldn't you know it... we are actually asking for a simple band-aid fix here.
evidently you did not look at my post history sherlock. i am the amazing optical illusion. not robot master dahjee. not super pvp guru twixt. not way awesome zombie man. not positron. not golden cat girl . not forbin reproject. not the incredible memphis bill. not ultra logical math wizard arcanaville. not any other cool or not cool person on these boards. i am just simply the amazing optical illusion.

A very sad story about War Witch and the neglected kitty. http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=219670

That is exactly what i'm suggesting. It isn't intended that players can skip animations, but most of us do this without thinking. That is the only suppression that should be instituted as it serves the purpose of preventing players from abusing a bug.

If anything the bug should be fixed, since it affects PvE as well as PvP. It's also easily reproducible provided you have good timing.

Removing jump canceling would make me a sad panda. I feel like I'm Roman Canceling in Guilty Gear every time that I do it.

The Devs won't ever learn guys. How many times have people made constructive pvp threads on similar topics and gone unheard or ignored or simply told no.

Honestly no one should be playing this game anymore and if you still are you got noone to blame but yourselves. It's like that old saying how did it go?

"Sub to a bad game once shame on the Devs, sub to a bad game for 7 years shame on you."

In my experience building software (not games) its actually seldom the case the development team doesn't know or understand what the player base is asking for. The problem with long unrealized demands that the demands are usually too hard (which really means too expensive) to give customers what they want. I _think_ this is the case here where we seeing incremental changes to PvP balance when we really need a holistic overhaul of the PvP rule set without hurting/affecting PvE.

Sadly this is true. Which is also why I don't ever really argue for any constructive changes to PvP, only because I know it just isn't going to happen. Better to enjoy what's in front of me as best I can and not fret too much.

Incremental changes? You mean less than one bug fix per year?

Pacing of the changes isn't relevant. Its kind of like when you have any big time consuming task in front of you until you can tackle all of it you can't do any of it because of the inter-dependencies.

The devs legitimately think HD/TS is a good idea. They will not be told otherwise. They think that all of our carefully constructed feedback is nothing more than "1337 pvpers" trying to manipulate them into making it easier to farm casual players.

Add to this that the devs themselves are not PVP minded, don't understand what PVPers want, and aren't any good at PVP, and you can start to understand why they've made the changes they have over the years.

In short: the developement team don't know what they're doing, and don't trust any active PVPers enough to listen to their feedback. It's a bad combination.

Hopefully Zwillinger will be able to talk some sense into them. He's legitimately our only chance at change.
You're just going to get Zwillinger fired like Mod08 before him...and Avatea before him...and light-house before her...and....

you get my point. Stop getting Paragon employees to empathize with pvpers. They'll be let go.

Was this a necro'ed thread? Huh, Deja-vu..

I fully support the removal of heal decay and travel suppression. If the devs do nothing else except turning this off for another 3 years, it will greatly improve the pvp play experience across the board.

He is busy with practices on team Chicken Nuggets.

Was it Ex Libris that moved on to a better paying job? It's like a revolving door for community reps that deal with pvp at paragon studios. I really miss Mod08. Almost as much as I miss Conflict.

I honestly think the issue here is one of communication.

The dev team have no idea what the playerbase wants from PVP. And they don't trust "experienced" PVPers enough to listen to their feedback.

The devs aren't stupid; They know exactly what they need to do to repair pvp mechanics. They couldn't care less about the "experienced" pvpers feedback. The only reason PvP hasn't been repaired is because the developers have decided repairing pvp wouldn't be worth the time and effort since it's such a very small percentage of the coh community that do pvp.

Mind you the same percentage that are still willing to PvP even though the mechanics are horribly broken. As long as you pay your sub they don't give a ****.

You really haven't figured this out yet?
